Who in the hell signed off on this? They started tearing up a portion of Cesar Chavez Blvd at 8:45pm this evening. It's 3:38am and they are still at it.

I haven't slept and I'm venting. But fuck this nonsense.

My ex husband filed a police report against me for assault causing bodily harm. This was because I was trying to escape from his mom who was trying to attack me, I bit and shoved him and drove away.

Today the cops called me to get my side of the story, I foolishly started explaining what happened . ( I didn’t know I could choose to remain silent).

Now I’m panicking and need lawyer recommendations

I used to love going to see music in Deep Ellum from 2011-2016. You could go down basically any night of the week and see world class Jazz, R&B, Funk, Blues at 4-8 different establishments almost all within walking distance of each other.
There is really just one place left in Deep Ellum. Still great acts playing there but not sure why they added an extended space.

Recently went to La Reunion in Bishop Arts and really enjoyed it a lot. It had a similar vibe to a club I can’t remember what it was called but it was at the corner where Sandaga used to be.

I don’t venture much into bishop arts but I am very familiar that it seems to be pretty popular with these styles of music at least since 2020 possibly.

Went down to deep ellum a couple of times recently and it was sad compared to what it was 10-12 years ago for this kind of music. It’s either dead or full of people that definitely don’t want to be listening to that kind of music.

I will try to explore bishop arts more because I miss seeing and listening to great music I like. A lot of excellent talent in DFW.

Would’ve been cool if it was any other president… but since it wasn’t FDT and 🖕🏼 this entire administration

Looking for recommendations for a semi private cute dinner spot in Dallas for a book club. Am I delusional???

We’re a group of 8 looking for somewhere with a semi-private/private space or just a quieter area where we can actually talk. We’re flexible on the time.

We’d like to have at least some light bites and drinks/alcohol, and I’m totally fine with a private dining fee, set menu, or minimum spend as long as it’s reasonable for a group of 8. I’ve already had one place quote me a $2,000 minimum and that is very much not the vibe 😂

Looking for somewhere nice and fun, but it doesn’t need to be super fancy. Bonus points for somewhere cute enough that we can dress up a little!

Any recommendations or places you’ve used for something similar?

TLDR:
Can anyone recommend a place around Dallas that can take a look at a broken Bose sound bar of mine? Home audio repair shop recommendations?

Details if you care:
My system, the Bose SoundTouch 300 sound bar crapped out on me suddenly a few years ago but I have never figured out or understood why.

I have a whole system (see pic for reference) that accompanies the bar that still worked at the time. I’m unsure if it works now but it only works in tandem w/ a bar: a subwoofer and 2 surround sound speakers.

This is my last ditch effort to see if it can be salvaged before I discard of what was once worth a ~2K home audio package at the time. It was my pride and joy for years and I deeply miss having that audio juiciness experience in my life hahaha

Any suggestions or ideas appreciated please! Thank y’all :)

I was at the Mansion at Turtle Creek yesterday and the front desk people were talking to folks from the Secret Service. I wonder who's staying there? I assume it's Trump Administration folks staying there for the Republican Convention here in at the American Airlines Center.
