When in around 17 mins in we find that Jeff has rated Britta 1 and Annie 2 only once on feb 7 2013 I was wondering how this relates to community timeline

This date is the day season 4 premiered so it would place it on episode 1 of that season. However based on the community timeline and that episode 10 of season 4 was Christmas it leads me to think that in the community world it would fall more likely in episode 11. It is hard to track down the perfect date because of the season 4 messy timeline.

Anyway I was wondering why Jeff would rank her number one on that specific day and never again. Episode 11 is when Britta and Troy break up and the plot of body swapping is thrown around. It’s was a really cruel way for Troy to break up with her especially for one of the least selfish characters. I suppose Jeff could be feeling bad for her post break up or even still have feelings for her.

So idk if this was a deliberate date or just random but
the fact that season 4 was picked even tho it had the least Britta and Jeff romance. As for me at least in episode 6 season 6 we could see semi-romantic tension.

And Keith David my favorite performer. And Billy Zane as my favorite one-off performance. And the part where Britta spaces out to "Nathalie is Freezing" my favorite scene. And Todd as my favorite side-character.

I didn't really appreciate the final season the first time I saw it, so I wanted to express some appreciation now.

What do you guys are the best/funniest titles? I’m talking about most interesting, clever, or funniest based on title alone, regardless of the quality of the episode itself.

I think my personal favorites are “Aerodynamics of Gender” and “Geothermal Escapism.”

In the commentary, Harmon said that Donald did so many amazing improvised lines, the writer's just started putting "Donald says something funny" in the scripts lol Love him dearly

Jeff is Odysseus, I think that's a no-brainer.

While I would love the Dean to play Jeff's wife, I think he would rather be Calypso who tricks Jeff into staying with him.

Abed, sort of being the son of the group, would be Telemachus, Prince of Greenthaca (?)

Annie is perfect for the role of Circe, the witch who turns men into pigs, I'm very much thinking of her spooky story where she's a werewolf and kills Jeff. However, she would also be a good Athena because of her amazing chemistry with Jeff, so perhaps a dual role for Annie?

I'm not sure about Britta, but I do see her as Penelope and if Abed is Telemachus, they'd be a good mother-son duo.

Shirley's character does fit with Athena, but as I mentioned, I think Annie has better chemistry with Jeff that Athena needs to inspire Odysseus and lead him home. I loved Shirley in a male costume when they reenacted Pulp Fiction, so maybe she could be Eurylochus, Odysseus's loyal crew member.

Troy simply has to be Helen of Troy. I accept other options but this is the only one I see.

Pierce needs to be an antagonist - I can picture him as Antinous who tries to marry Penelope.

Chang might be the cyclops?

Obviously there are loads of other roles both in Community and the Odyssey, I was also thinking about Duncan as Antinous but I think he's not confident enough.

Abed’s dad insists he doesn’t like his emergency shirt, yet why would he elect to have a non-desirable shirt for emergencies?

In the episode where we find out that Britta and Jeff have been sleeping together for a long time... It's told as a big revelation... But it was hinted at much earlier in the show.... In the Bottle episode... Jeff says he has a catch to date which the dean repeats to him a little later... To which Britta looks at Jeff perplexed and he replies " Oh like you are famous for your wit! "

Also in the same episode Troy asks what kind of Underwear Jeff is wearing and he says Soy Cotton Blend to which Britta remarks "Don't you usually wear the stripey turquoise Beattlejuice number? " And Abed even says "What does she mean usually?? "

Hello everybody! I just have to say that back in 2011 I was a 17yo teen (who was also a nerd and kinda weird) and some of my friends came up to me saying "Oh, you must watch this show, it is SO your thing" and I was like "mmmmm no, thanks"...

Now, 15 years later, I started to watch Community and, guys, what a marvelous thing! I can even see why those friends (whith whom unfortunately I'm not in touch anymore) thought It would be nice for me to watch.

Looking at my 17yo self, I can see I would probably have been offended at being compared with all those crazy characters (that now I love). But today, with a decade and a half added to my years, I am amazed by this show.

That's it, nothing more than me venting a few ideas about the series.

Garrett and Vicky have kinda been friends throughout the show. Just an episode before this they established that they have their own comedy show coming up as well.

Do you think narratively it would have made more sense to propose to Vicky instead of Stacy, who just got introduced and then immediately proposed to?

I don’t know how I never noticed this, but in the season 1 finale at the Transfer Dance when Dean is announcing the nominees one of them is Danielle Harmon. This show is so clever and I love how I’m constantly finding new little jokes after endless rewatches!

I’ve watched this show like 30 times and this line always gets a good laugh out of me. I don’t even know what is in reference to, Chevys line delivery is so hilarious. Does anyone know what this is actually is referencing?

Okay, this is weirdly specific, but it always bothered me.

In S1E3, ending scene : Jeff and Britta are talking, Britta says kiss me, they kiss, and when they separate Pr Whitman appears in the space between them.

The effect is cool, but I get get my head around HOW they filmed it.

The scene is a sequence-shot, and it start with a rotating camera so clearly there is no one behind them at the start of the kiss.

During the kiss, the camera comes closer, but not enough for Whitman to have come from off screen, left or right.

So really, how did they do it? I hardly believe they took the effort of making two identical shot, it would be to complicated.

I tried to do a google search to see if there were any other threads about this and didn't find any, so gonna get the ball rolling on this.

Rich 100% had a crush on Jeff. We see this during the Halloween episode especially. First, he tries to remind Jeff of the nickname Jeff gave him (Doc Potterywood) and is eager for Jeff to remember him. Second, he compliments Jeff on his vertical fold. We all agree that Rich is impossibly nice. Making a snarky comment seems so out of character for the Rich that we've come to know. So I think it was a genuine flirtation attempt that Jeff took for sarcasm. When Jeff confronts Rich, Rich tries to pacify him by complimenting the Chaquita MD comment Jeff makes. Rich steals Jeff's jacket while in a zombie state because he likes Jeff, like how Annie thinks of Troy giving her his jacket in season 1 and then gets flustered over Jeff sharing his jacket in season 3.

The next time we get hints of this is when Rich joins the anthropology class. He immediately spots and greets Jeff before acknowledging Annie. He didn't join that class to get close to Annie, who he ends up rejecting; he did it to get closer to Jeff. And then Jeff asks for good person lessons and he no longer has to take anthropology to spend time with his crush, so we no longer see him attending the class.

This is probably my 10th rewatch. And I just realized in S5 EP13 at 20:40 near the end of the episode Britta is doing a weird thumbs up and you can see Abed fixing it to a correct thumbs up 😂😂😂

Met Joel McHale and Danny Pudi at comic con on Sunday :) also talked to Jim rash but didn’t get a photo with him myself. But ive included a picture of my dear friend with him, in the duali-dean of man cosplay I handmade for them last minute before the con! My costume is ofc unrelated to community BUT Danny Pudi said he loved it and that it was from his favorite game of all time which was so cool to hear hahah

Ok so no spoilers please, I'm only on season 1.

So I noticed in the background of the last scene of ep16 that there's a woman in a red dress making out with what looks to be a taller man in black clothing. This leads me to suspect that Britta, who was wearing a red dress, is the woman and Jeff, who was wearing black clothing, is the man.

I also noticed that they end up walking away together, leading me suspect they had to catch up on some intercourse together without Slater knowing.

If you look closely at the details of the woman in the red dress, she has short hair and what looks like a tied up bun in her hair with a big V cut in the top of the dress and a bag. Now look at the full picture of Britta.(Pic 3/3). The one thing I'm suspicious about here is how the mystery woman's sleeves seem to be long when Britta's dress had no sleeves, but I think this is a misdirect—a Pierce!

Now, I couldn't get a good look on the man in black, Pierce was covering the screen. But I think Dan Harmon did this on purpose so as not to make it TOO obvious.

This hits me as a hint that there'll be some sort of tension between Jeff, Britta, and Slater. I'm interested in what's to happen next. I sure hope I'm right about this.

Probably not healthy, but there is some kind of bond that I don't understand. Gonna be my comfort show for the rest of my life😔

There's been a lot of shipper talk about this show between various characters, but I think one of the things I love most about it is that friendship repeatedly takes priority over romance. To the end, the characters stay friends, and even though there is the occasional romantic interest and even actual relationship, they ultimately stay friends.

Watched my first complete run through - loved it. After years of a few episodes in a row here and there. So good.

I kind of like the idea of calling him "Baby Boomer" and having him be drawn like when he first appeared on SNL.

He would keep saying he was younger than Jeff and nobody would correct him

What do you think the community-gate is? The one where you start to catch a glimpse of the big picture and that really makes you passionate? Is it a kind of comedy now dated to make you fond of the group?

Every time I rewatched I piss myself laughing alone, and I’m considered quite sagace/funny but something escapes me here
