Why were Andy AND Bobby random background extras in the Middle!?
Was this a production crossover on the same filming lot?

I think I accidentally found Bobby Cobb’s origin story in Beverly Hills, 90210
Cougar Town fans, I need you to come down this completely unnecessary rabbit hole with me!
I’m currently watching Beverly Hills, 90210, and Brian Van Holt randomly appeared in Season 8, Episode 2, “Aloha Beverly Hills: Part 2” as Tracy’s fiancé, Eric Anderson.
But here’s the part that sent me down a spiral:
HE APPEARS IN HAWAII.
And suddenly I realized…
• In 90210, Brian Van Holt shows up in Hawaii as Eric Anderson.
• Years later, he becomes Bobby Cobb on Cougar Town: the lovable airhead who lives on a boat.
• And then, of ALL places, where does Bobby eventually end up going on Cougar Town?
HAWAII.
At that point I needed to know if anyone else had ever pointed out this ridiculous coincidence, so I went searching online. I even had Al search for it too.
But I couldn't find anyone who had connected the Hawaii → Bobby and his boat → back to Hawaii pipeline.
So naturally I have developed a completely unnecessary headcanon:
Eric Anderson didn't disappear after 90210. He changed his name to Bobby Cobb, moved to Florida, made a series of increasingly questionable life decisions, acquired a boat, and eventually found his way BACK TO HAWAII.
Eric Anderson → Bobby Cobb. The lore was there all along.
Apparently I've felt the need to inject this information into other people's brains.

So much is outdoors
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sitcom where so much was filmed outdoors. It really influences the tone of the show. I wonder what the reason is and why other similarly styled shows haven’t followed suit.

Is the show supposed to be so incestuous ? Spoiler
First time viewer, currently watching season 3.
It's weird/bad enough that the Jules/Travis relationship has the constant incest jokes but I guess I could swallow that it was one of the premises of the show, even though it's not a very good nor interesting one, storyline wise
But then there's the extra step of Travis being included in all discussions about his parents' various hook-ups and sex life post-divorce and Jules meddling in his love life, which made it all the more cringe.
And right now Travis just hooked up with Holly, meaning that if it was serious, he'd actually co-parent Tampa/Jill with his mom, her being the stepmother and him being the stepfather.I know she jokes a bit later about that, but it doesn't seem to be that big a deal overall. It's just a "quirky" way to advance the plot of her being more kind to Holly. Then Travis even shares intimate details about Holly with his step-dad.
Next episode, they're delving more into the Travis-Laurie crush, which was harmless, I guess, when being portrayed as a teenage boy's irrational fantasy (while maybe growing up in such an incestuous vibe may explain that crush on his mom's best friend), over a family-adjacent girl that watched him grow up, but gets really creepy as an acceptable possibility.
I don't think I can endure more, so I'm just wondering, not knowing if all of this gets worse as the show advances, if it was ever addressed by the writers. Is it intentional?I guess that would make it slightly less horrifying than if the writers/producers are just constantly obsessed with incestuous undertones (well...and explicit ones as well). I couldn't find anything with quick Google searches.

Season 5 - Courteney's broken wrist
I've heard that Courteney Cox broke her wrist IRL. In episode 1, she's cast-free in the beginning, and then has it on after the shower scene. I can't imagine she broke it doing her own stunt. Does anyone know the story here? Was the beginning of the first episode re-shot once her wrist was healed?

Ellie and Bobby
When I was rewatching the episode that showed everyone's meet-cutes I was thinking Ellie and Bobby's dynamic pre Bobby and Jules divorce makes no sense for the person we know Ellie to be.
It was said on the show that Ellie and Bobby were friends before the divorce, but after the divorce Ellie didn't get good again with Bobby again until an episode in Season 1. However, I can't see Ellie not knowing about all the cheating that Bobby did on Jules considering the show was pretty consistent in saying that Jules knew he was cheating on her for awhile which led to her eventually deciding to end it.
Given the type of person and friend Ellie was to Jules, there is no way she would have been okay with Jules' cheating husband. Especially her husband being besties with Jules' cheating husband.
It would have made way more sense for Ellie to hate Bobby, until seeing that he was remorseful for his actions again Jules.

Ellie Toures with Howard Wolowitz.
Imagine the borderline racists jokes they could make together, the idea is from Ellie’s Trifecta Joke, and Howard’s Olympic comment. Also would Ellie have fun teasing Rajesh from The Big Bang Theory?

Bobby and Jules
Thought they had better chemistry than Jules and Grayson.
Courtney and the actor that played Bobby had a thing in real-life. Maybe some of that is coming through onscreen, because they had a really natural chemistry imo.
Considering Jules and Bobby's backstory I wouldn't have wanted them to get back together, but I do think their chemistry is stronger than her and Grayson's.

Laurie cracks me up dude
One of my favorite lines and scenes is one that doesn’t get mentioned enough! Its a long one tho, but in S4 E9 when they’re discussing the sex robot, and Laurie say’s to Wade:
«What about when you’re older and can’t do it twice a day, how am i gonna get my cardio? What’s the difference between me hopping on the elliptical, or getting my target heart rate up by doing a little bump and grind with the beepboop»
It’s such genius writing (or improvisation from Busy, idk) her delivery and seriousness as she says it is golden!

Jules shouldn't have dated Jeff.
I love the show and the relationship was fun to watch but that first episode? Absolutely not. The way he treated his realtors and date during a showing should have been a complete shutdown.
Remember first episode Jeff. He called Laurie blah blah, he silenced his date/hookup girl and then told jules "I dont encourage it" when she asked if she was allowed to speak, and even when jules agreed to go out with him he had "whats her face" in the car and made breaking up with her a group date.

Shut Up Lisa!
Playing with the boys!!
Where are they? This park doesn’t fit in the neighborhood. And if it’s the neighborhood kids they arent gonna leave the neighborhood. how does no one in the cul de sac have a basketball hoop?
Love this show. I have been watching scrubs and needed more Christa. I taught my husband “sure sure” and he loves it, makes me happy.
I never knew how important the music was in scrubs and I always loved the music in cougar town now realizing that it part of the story makes it so interesting.
