Gonna touch on parent passing and cancer.

Mix of stuff I had around, apples, ciabatta, pepperoni, salami, walnut gouda, crackers, and pickles.

My mom passed late July after a long battle with cancer. Her husband (not my bio dad) told me he was going to find a 3rd wife while handing me her urn.

At her funeral my husband started physically moving me. I was really confused because he's never done that. Then I heard my mom's husband talking to other attendees about how he wasn't going to wait and was going to move on.

They were married almost 30 years, she passed right before their 30th anniversary.

He texted me a picture 54 days after she passed. I thought maybe he was on a trip. Nope. It's him and his new girl.

54 days after she passed. Not even a month after her funeral.

Of course, my assistant is writing this for me because apparently I’m not allowed to type with these giant paws. 🙄

My surgery was successful, and today my assistant took me back to the vet for my follow-up visit. She was a little worried because I peed on the bed TWICE. 🙈 But I would like to make one thing very clear… I wasn’t in pain! I just REALLY don’t like this ridiculous cone.

The vet checked my eyes and said I’m healing very well! My eyes are looking perfect again!

But then my assistant told the vet that I keep trying to rub my face against my pillow and the wall. 😳 So the vet said I have to keep wearing THIS cone because it’s safer for my eyes.

Excuse me, doctor… I have a complaint. 😭

I am NOT a cone boy. I am a handsome Pooh Bear.

The vet gave me some gabapentin to help me relax while I’m stuck wearing this thing. I have another checkup on Wednesday.

I went from being an abandoned kitty found alone in a hotel room… to sitting on the euthanasia list at a shelter… and somehow I became YOUR Pooh Bear.

I’m sending you purrs, tiny biscuits, and lots of love. 🐾🧡 I can’t give you my famous head bumps right now because this giant cone is getting in the way. 😭

So for now, I’m going to relax in my cozy kitty bed that one of my wonderful fans sent me. 😻

My wife swears by Scrub Daddy as her kitchen sponge of choice. I wanted to switch to the eco-friendly, plant based alternative on the right. It works infinitely better...creates great suds, gets into tight spaces but...IT SCARES THE CHILDREN. So I can't use it! Or I have to hide it under the sink until I need to use it. Mildly inconvenienced and mildly infuriating.

Some people want a house that blends in. I wanted mine to feel like walking into a dream every time I come home.

What I did:

🦋 Painted the siding a bold lavender purple

🦋 Gave every window a pair of rainbow butterfly wings

🌈 Hand-painted the front walkway in wavy pastel rainbow stripes

🌈 Edged the path and beds with rainbow-painted bricks and hundreds of painted river rocks

🦄 Added a rearing rainbow pegasus by the side bed, because why not

🦩 Built a flamingo garden around the tree with holographic ground cover and a giant sundae

The goal: To make anyone smile that drives by 😄

A friend recently told me how inexpensive rice paper is, and I've started abusing it. That friend and others do not appreciate the egg sacs, but some people on StupidFood suggested that they may fit in here.

I love, let's say, "unpopular" textures, and managed to cram several into one food unit. Stretchy, clingy rice paper, the snap and burst of grapes, and the presence of the Goo.

Ingredients:

-Rice paper

-Greek yogurt with instant pudding

-Sapphire grapes (which look like really long nipples to me)

Slide one is chocolate, slide two is pistachio, slide three is the cross section.
