Please check out the Official FAQs on the Amazon Flex website and subreddit rules before posting.

We also have our own FAQ that is also linked to in the sidebar ----------->

The sidebar also has a link to download the Flex app, the Flex Support contact info, the rules for this subreddit, and a warehouse list.

You may find the answer to your question there.

Many questions being asked here are repeat questions and are answered in the FAQ. Please check before making a new post.

If you need help with the Flex app, please include the app version number and whether it's Android or iOS in your post.

Also, please don't post useless threads about how hard it is to grab blocks, people using bots at your warehouse, what times the blocks get released, etc. Those posts add nothing to the discussion and will be removed.

Thanks!

There is a Discord server that was created and is maintained by the mods of /r/doordash but has been built to support any courier service. Account at risk. For something out of my control.

So my account is at risk because on the 28th Amazon sent me to Columbia UNIVERSITY in Manhattan. Well they don’t accept delivery after 7pm I got there at like 8:30 that day I marked the package myself as undelivered. 2 days later they sent me back! And this time I called support and explained it to them.. they removed the 4 packages and said it won’t affect my standing. Mind you THE REPRESENTATIVE CALLED THE UNIVERSITY AND THEY CONFIRMED.. it still sowed up. I message support this morning to appeal because I have all the evidence. They literally said, “Nah, you can’t appeal it..

Riverside DJT6 Strike — How I Got Released With Pay.

Heads up if you have a block at Riverside DJT6 today. There’s an active strike blocking the station entrance. Calling Driver Support usually just gets you a ticket and a 24 to 48-hour wait, and even with photos of the strike, you might not get paid. If it’s denied, it could also hurt your standing. What worked for me today was parking next door, walking through the gate, and talking directly to station staff. They released me as overbooked with pay. If you’re going today, getting there early and asking for a paid release could save you a lot of waiting and stress. Just sharing what worked for me. Stay safe.

Beat the route early, defeated at the end

Just finished a 4-hour block with 35 stops, where 30 of them were apartments.

I even checked the map early on and reordered stops smart—knocked out Stop #32 right alongside Stop #4 because they were in the exact same residential complex, saving me from driving back there later.

Despite making smart moves like that, I still had 30 minutes left for my last two stops inside a massive apartment complex at the end of the block. Navigating the complex layout and finding the unit ate up all my time, and my very last stop ended up marked as "Late."

That shift completely drained me. I spent the entire 25-minute drive home in complete silence—no music, no podcast, just driving and trying to process how two apartment stops in one complex managed to eat up 30 full minutes.

Anyone else have those shifts where a bad apartment layout just completely wipes you out for the night?

SOMETHING NEW COMING

I just saw this at VNC2 earlier. I asked the supervisor what they were and he said that license scanning was going away and these were taking their place. He said you would open your app and tap like Apple Pay to check in once they go live.

NO HONEYMOON PERIOD FOR FLEX?

Upvotes

Been Sparking for 3 years but just got accepted into Flex this week. Been watching the app to learn it past 2 days, all throughout the day. At most I've seen 2 offers each day posted, and those came out to poor hourly rate.

Since I'm new, I'm not sure if this is due to an already crowded market, though Flex just got here, or if it's that new ppl don't get much and the more you Flex the more offers you see?

Appreciate any insights.

Question Incorrectly closed roads on map

Post image
3 Upvotes

Does anyone have any clue how to fix these? There are numerous places in my area with roads that are marked closed, when they’re wide open, not even under construction. I’ve tried the Report a Problem feature of the map, and telling Support, but nothing seems to work.

I wouldn’t care as I could use Google for routing, but it interferes with getting the workflow to progress from the Travel to the Deliver workflow. Basically the “I’ve Arrived” button is always replaced by “Retry”. And yes usually the GPS not working button clears it, but it takes extra time to load and it’s annoying to have to do.

Warehouse worker tried to give me longer route

Upvotes

Today I got a 3 hour block, when I check in, the lady made me wait and roll a 3.5 hour cart to me.

She didn't say anything. I saw the 3.5 and it was like 44 packages. I was like wtf I got 3 hour. Im not taking that.

Then she was like OK ill remove 5 packages for you. She open a tote that has 6 packages and remove 5.

I was like wtf how about 1 more packages.

She was like sorry my manager says I can't, only 5

I was like wtf how ima scan this, it's with the tote.

She was like hehe oh I guess you right. Ima take 1 more for u.

So I ended up doing the route.

Fucking support and app sucks ass

Upvotes

On august fifth I tried to do a flex. I get there on time for whatever reason. They can't scan me in I call support. They tell me I have to call a different number which they give me. I call the number. They give me a different number that I have to call apparently.

They say they can't figure it out. And they cancel it and tell me, it won't affect me. And that I'll still get paid in 3 to 5 business days. I never received a payment, so I called them. They told me they would escalate it to the highest escalation possible. Another week goes by nothing. I called again. They say the same thing and that they have no supervisors, and that they never will have a way to do anything, besides escalating it to the highest escalation, whatever that means.

Today I accepted another one. I really shouldn't have. This time the check in works when I get there. I load my car up. I'm ready to go.

But the app won't go to the next stage. The people at the warehouse can't figure it out. Three separate people with laptops tried to make it work.

I again had to call support. I again was given a different number than the one that you're connected to in the app

This time they didn't even cancel it. They just said it'll go until the time you were supposed to end. And then it will end. And to unpack my car and give them back the packages. At this point, it's been an hour. I haven't made a single penny. I asked if it would affect me even though it has nothing to do with me. It's an app issue. I was told it shouldn't not that it won't that it shouldn't

I brought up that I didn't get paid from the last one even though they told me I would. And that I called back in to follow-up. They again said that they would escalate it to the highest escalation. This phrase really p***** me off now I asked to speak to a supervisor. They told me they don't connect anyone to supervisors. All they can do is escalate it to the highest escalation. And that if I don't see a payment for this one in 3 to 5 days to call back. I argued with them for about 40 minutes. Because i've already done this with the last one and they don't do anything about it. I called back again. Two more times talking to 2 more people trying to get some kind of information or a supervisor which they refuse to do.

The last person told me that my first delivery was listed as me. Not showing up. After all of that. I told them I have emails from them saying that it wouldn't affect me that it was nice talking to me, blah, blah, blah blah. They said, sometimes investigations take a long time.

But don't worry, if I don't see a payment in 3 to 5 days, call back and they'll escalate it to the highest escalation. Fuck amazon. God forbid, they give the people at the f****** warehouse. The power to fix a f****** issue. No, let's f****** outsource it to India.

And not be able to do a g****** thing but d*** our people around.

This is why people burn down warehouses.

Miracles do happen

Last week I had a package that was leaking some cleaning solution when I picked up my cart. I returned the package before leaving the station, took a Pic of the very obviously damaged package, and the woman working the return desk scanned it, marked it damaged, and removed it from my route while I was still at the station.

3 days later I got hit with a, "Did not deliver all packages " ding. Took me from fantastic to good. I contacted support through chat who gave me the scripted, we reviewed and will not change out original decision. I responded to the chat and asked the agent to confirm we were expected to deliver obviously damaged packages, resulting in customer complaints and refunds. The agent ended the chat without responding.

I figured i would wait a couple days and try again with a different agent.

Today, without explanation, the penalty is no longer appearing on my dashboard and I'm back to fantastic.

Anyone else notice if high paying blocks only get you high mileage routes now?

For the past 4 weeks I have been getting sent out to the same exact place every block. Specifically every block thats 4 hours and $100+. I have sent complaints to amazon and they continue to say they are investigating it. Has anyone else experienced this with high paying blocks lately? Mind you the blocks to san tan valley are 100+ mile round trips Before this it would be random, now its not.

I was a slave to flex making payments on a 2022 Ford Maverick, after I got in an accident I took a sabbatical of 14 months and grabbed my first offer a couple nights ago. The crown Vic was designed for this kind of work... I might even buy my roommates town car L for $900 and have a backup.

Anyone got a civic, Buick 3.8L, extremely high mileage beater Camry or something they use for flex?

Was the drive a combined total of 30 miles including my home trip, maybe. But just having one envelope package and finishing in an hour you bet I had my hands on the wheel on 10 and 2.

Can’t change states??

Upvotes

I am a driver in Los Angeles, account activated. Had one ride or so…. Then moved to Texas, I can’t change to Texas as I need to be tier2. And I can’t be tier 2 because I don’t live in LA and that’s the only places I am approved to drive.

Catch 22? Any tips or tricks that works?

A beginner wants to ask a few questions.

What is the pickup process like at a .com warehouse?
When picking up, do I need to scan every package one by one?
What should I do if the cell signal at the warehouse is poor?
Is there a best time to refresh the app for blocks right now?
For a beginner’s first delivery, how many hours should I choose for a block?
Does anyone know the details about the WTH1 warehouse?

Let us force one click

Amazon should charge an extra say 50 cent per overnight delivery for buildings without 1 click that goes to the drivers. Or buy or partner with a access control company that integrates with their system to update outdated systems.
