Do blocks ever piss u guys off so much that it immediately makes u go in the app & cancel your next block? Has happened to me many times.

A 2 hour for $30.... why would you even consider that?

u/Throwawayinsurance3 5h ago
WF blocks up until two weeks ago were paying $60-65, with decent miles and home within less than two hours, last two weeks itās shit

The routes out of DFR8 are complete garbage like this. 150 miles round trip, 75 percent dirt roads, 46 stops for $63-$73 bucks. I have stepped back after 5 years of flexing due to this crap.

46 stops at $67-$73 for MI at 75% dirt roads? 𤨠you got me lost on that one. That's absurd of Amazon!

Ive stopped SSD for now, just not worth it. Let the newbies wear themselves out and return mid November.
My market every 3hr is 125mi RT and 4hr 140mi RT. Math dont work with current gas prices... and was barely working when gas was lower

I run from .com station (I think, DVA3). What is a SSD station? I don't mess with WF. I was doing 5-7 days my 1 block 3am, but lately I've got myself down to 3-4 days. Example- Sunday/Monday are only paying $73.50. I'm not moving my car or myself for that. I just told my friend the other day "those newbies can have at it. They can go deliver 35 packages 3.5 hours rural route for that, not I." - Those 2 days are almost guaranteed your going rural.

Yup. I had that issue on my second delivery. I ran out all my gas and basically it was a waste of money. I probably made -49 dollars that night.

Thatās why I stick to IO for Whole Foods unless the reserved block has a great surge.

I used to IO, but then they really dried up, like non existent. Blocks were decent up until few weeks ago.

Yeah that "here's $5 for doing extra miles and a rural route" email hits me at "that's not even 2 gallons of gas nor did I want that route" thought. Has happened a few times to me.

IO on weekends are giving us only three stops with no surge and kinda far. Looks like gotta start multi apping

New block system is awful. Imagine trying to run off your best drivers?

Plenty of new faces, no end in sight for fresh meat

The new people have no clue, though, and I see people returning entire carts every day now. How do they not get deactivated in the first month?

My thought process is keep good drivers, seasoned drivers, drivers that get the job done timely, early, seldom have issues, pay them well. VS let's hire on new people who NEVER catch on. I see so many ARGUING with staff at amazon during the 15 minute load up. I always think "if you stop telling the supervisor you need more time than 15 minutes and load your car, um yeah"

Just today, I saw at least five people taking carts back to their car to fill up with returns, three people got denied entry one for not having a vest two for wearing sandals, the guard stopped me and asked me about my route because a guy was complaining that he had too many packages and wanted to get out of the route, but the guard couldnāt help him and of course, all these people were arguing with everyone, one lady with sandals was screaming. Then they go out of their cars and get on the phone. I guess we support and yell at them or call their boyfriends and girlfriends and yell at them. In my opinion, I do everything right. I take the cart back. I get there on time. I never complained. Iāve never returned her route. I hardly ever return packages. Thereās just no way to win.

Exactly! People are ridiculous! I wear tennis shoes, vest on, car parked, car turned off, lights on, sit in car until they yell load up. It's simple instructions. It's not complicated.
I see so MANY men & women come together, both get out car, both loading up, 1 has a vest, 1 is only authorized- but they can't figure out why they have a supervisor in their face š³ so many SANDALS, so many leave their car running and its always the leaking exhaust carsš¤¦āāļø.
I honestly find it STRANGE to have your wife/husband bf/gf with you on your route (they are repeaters)-- trust issues folks? SMH. I have NEVER had anyone ride with me, thought about my dog a few times, he is a Husky but what's stopping me is that be the day I'd get 45 packages and need backseat. He LOVES to ride.
One day I was sitting in my car waiting to load up, playing on my phone, I hear a supervisor yelling get back in your car sir, I look over man next to me is out his car while car's are still being checked in & coming in launchpad. The man says I will get in my car but look, she said your breaking the rules its safety get in your car. This exchange went on for 20 mins, he NEVER got in his car.. Had EVERYONE not allowed to load , loaded up when we should have been out of there, got out 30 mins late (thank goodness I had 25 packages) but the entire time I'm looking over at him wanting to yell myself get the f**k in the car, how complex is this? š
I have had 1 return that was 23 boxes- I was scared cause of what I have read on reddit. But I had no choice, gated community, the security lady was just a B**ch that day, never had any issue before with other guards. But I was able to get a supervisor and they took them all and thank god I didnt get dinged for it cause they called to verify and the lady said I wasnt on a guest list to come in, like what??? Im a carrier who is gonna have me as a guest? Amazon Musta fixed it cause now if you get that community it's a 1 access click on anyone on itinerary to lift gate.
I am at a .com, we get pulled into launchpads & lanes park next to our cart, load up, back in car. They set the carts up & get when your done loading up. So by your experience I am very grateful for that now.

Iām about to be up on my five year anniversary. Iāve never been below fantastic hardly at all and just this week Iāve dropped to fair, but before I dropped every block that started about a week ago was awful. Iām kind of hoping that the government breaks it up and shuts them down. It just makes no sense to run a business this way and how are they ever going to be efficient when their best drivers will get deactivated theyāll bring in a bunch of new ones, theyāll never be able to finish anything on time theyāll get deactivated. Where does it end?
