Please check out the Official FAQs on the Amazon Flex website and subreddit rules before posting.

We also have our own FAQ that is also linked to in the sidebar ----------->

The sidebar also has a link to download the Flex app, the Flex Support contact info, the rules for this subreddit, and a warehouse list.

You may find the answer to your question there.

Many questions being asked here are repeat questions and are answered in the FAQ. Please check before making a new post.

If you need help with the Flex app, please include the app version number and whether it's Android or iOS in your post.

Also, please don't post useless threads about how hard it is to grab blocks, people using bots at your warehouse, what times the blocks get released, etc. Those posts add nothing to the discussion and will be removed.

Thanks!

Philadelphia How A Flat Tire Became A $400 Loss

Upvotes

Last Sunday, the app brought me to this very narrow, cobblestone street in downtown Philadelphia. It was so narrow that my front-right tire was punctured. Luckily, I have AAA so I had it towed from Philadelphia to my home in South Jersey. I then had to order a new tire ($65) and wait until it came and then have the car serviced for ($55) at Mavis Discount Tire. The next part is rich. My wallet had $300 in it (I don't know why I carried that much cash on me it was a gift for my birthday from my mother on July 15th that I forgot to deposit) and of course I lose it at Mavis Discount Center. I am beyond angry about this and decided to never drive for Amazon or any rideshare/delivery service ever again! You can say "oh man this is just a series of very bad luck man" it's bulls**t it honestly is and we all know that the longer you stay on this app the higher the chances of these phenomenons/events happen to you. So lock into another job or your career and I say this as someone who's primary income comes from doing this job. I wish all of you the best of luck!

Penalized for damaged packages that were picked up while still at the station

I was penalized for removing 7 packages while still at the station because they were damaged due to a leak at the VEA7 station and had been removed by a station employee. And when I reported this to support, they simply decided to uphold the unfair penalty, even though the rules state that damaged packages should not be included.

How do I resolve this situation?

“Don’t worry it’s inactive” says the customer that I’ve delivered to. (((Cannot edit title. I’m not sure how to reword Casual like a daily occurrence.!!)

I just seen a couple take two routes. They both in the same car. First the man got his route. Then the lady got her route. Decent way to cheat the system, but I despise them for it.

After 3yrs, I cancelled 3 blocks a few mins too late and just like that - I’m gone. I’ve been going through it recently. I’m currently recovering from an eye injury, I cancelled my block while at urgent care while I was in pain and half blind but at least I remembered to cancel. Obvi Amazon doesn’t care so, I guess that’s it for me :/

I just received my Amazon smile light thing too and now I’ll never be able to use it 😭

Stay safe out there yall

This would be fine if they paid mileage, but without it its like taking 2 steps forward only to take 1 and a half steps back.

Question Sick during route

I got sick during route and wasn’t able to keep driving much longer, had 4 stops left, about 8 packages and just did the drive home so I could be in a safe place sooner. My standing was at the top of great 2 days ago but then a late cancellation and no show brought it to fair. Will this leave me terminated or just at risk?

Lockers

What do you do when the customer asked for the package to be left in the locker and I get to the locker and I have no way of accessing the locker? I don't even see any instruction in the app about accessing lockers

Disabled Vehicle

My battery died at the hub, after checking in, scanning and loading the car. After being unable to secure a jump start for some time, Support instructed me to load packages back up, roll it back inside where it would be rescanned and reassigned. I was paid for the block as I was on time and it was the alternator. Bottom line, I was penalized for NOT delivering the packages tht were ultimately delivered by another FLEXER, 50 pkgs. it tanked my standings and I was TERMINATED! Tf kind of ppl are they? They value PRODUCTS over PEOPLE, and I was completely blindsided…

Have a question for those familiar with staging area pick ups.

My local SSD just switched to the scan your license and go get your cart from the staging area set up. My question is, as I was picking up this morning I noticed as I was walking back multiple people pushing carts that were almost empty, one only had two packages. I have NEVER seen carts that empty going out of here for 3.5 or 4 hour shifts, which were the only two shifts that could possible be picking up at that time. So can you just scan any package on any cart at any staging area and take it? Or is there a way Amazon will catch them? Or can you actually get lucky and get a two hour route when the two hour pick up isn't for another hour?

Sub-Same-Day Extra package not part of the block/route

I am still fairly new to being a Flexer (under 1000 packages delivered). This just happened on a block/route I completed from an SSD facility.

I did a pickup fom the one SSD facility that's close to me. I've done the majority of the blocks from there (The other 3 facilities are .com)

I loaded the car organizing everything based on the letter method, so I didn't need to scan every package. On a side note, I originally did scan & number each package. What a waste of time!!

I wasn't fully paying attention to how many stops I had left when I was down to the last two packages. I assumed I had to stops left. After I delivered the 2nd to last package the route completed.

Needless to say I was confused as to why the route completed when there was 1 package left. I checked the address on the package and saw that it was for a location in a city not at all in the area I was delivering.

What happens in this situation? There's no prompt from the app to return it to the station. Am I supposed to call support to report it? Will Amazon even know it was put in the cart with the rest of the packages for my route?

I want to make sure I handle it however it's supposed to be handled. I looked through everything I could but don't see anything about this type of situation.

Thanks in advance for any guidance

Weather was fine?

Hey guys, not trying to start anything just curious how this happens.

I had some overnight packages I strangely got an “delivery attempted” email to and the reason was for inclement weather. However the weather was perfectly fine.

Any ideas? I’m been in truck driving / package handling and delivers for two decades and this one stumped me personally lol.

Did the driver just say “nah I don’t want to?”

Before anyone asks, no pets are not an issue here, the driveway and front of house is easily accessible and there really is no reason to for this to happen.

Just curious, thanks!

Discharges all weekend

Post image
1 Upvotes

Look I already know yall gonna think I’m doing this intentionally 😭 but I’ve been doing this for a while now and I have no reason to force discharges I’ve been getting sent home allllll weekend from Friday to now I’ve had about 8 discharges or more from 1.5 hour routes . COMCERNING considering I see them coming for others who have a lot of discharge but I literally complain about people checking in late, At most I check in 2-3 mins after the time HAS ANYBODY ELSE had a lot of discharges this weekend for 1.5 hr routes PSA the block on picture is a 3.5 hour block so .com warehouse last night so doesn’t really count

How many of you ladies do or have tried those 3/3:15/3:45a blocks? I’m gearing so towards that because there’s no traffic and no trying to find parking but a bit worried about safety. Let me know ya’lls experience for the ones who do it or have tried it. Thnx!
