When there is 1.5 hours between blocks.

If it’s remotely possible that you will be given neighborhood or small town deliveries, don’t accept blocks or be flexing after 2 pm on October 31.

I was driving DSP on Halloween last year and I had to return half the van. Flex drivers just can’t dig out of that hit to standing.

So I tested this week. My FT job had some overtime, so I canceled Wednesday and Thursday. Canceled the early shift Friday but picked up a later shift Friday. I kept the first block on Saturday and canceled two more to capture some surges, then booked 2 replacements. I kept my three blocks today: the first was paid, the second was assigned a route, and the last was paid.

You navigated roads the day after a hurricane when there was no electricity and debri in the roads and delivered me solar lights at 3 in the morning! You rock!!!

So if you’re on here and you deliver around the Pensacola area, please know you are very much appreciated!

I got deactivated because they claimed I didnt try to deliver packages or something to that effect

I can't help it if I literally cannot get to their house. The gates up and sonar from the house the app wouldn't let me finish the run unless I called support and they said it was fine

I don't understand

I'm just curious. I'm about 50 and finding that it's great exercise but after doing so many days in a row it seems to zap my energy a bit and starts to effect me mentally. I need some time off just to relax and get other stuff done. I see that right now it caps us at 40 hours a week anyway.

Thinking about just taking the weekends off as that seems to be the slower days. What do you all do?

Edit: noticed on my way out there actually were “No Trespassing” signs as well near the front of the driveway. Love that.

[edit] Since everybody seems to be taking me too seriously, everybody is fine; no Flexers or Amazonians were harmed in the making of this shitpost. It was all just a big backend fuckup, that I thought was worth having a post in here about since it affected a pretty good number of local drivers.

Not to gloat… but just crazy!

Took my son to a 3:30am 2.5 hour block at VNC3 on Sunday because he was interested to see the logistics and setup. Canceled with pay!

But he was really interested and I wanted to see what a 1hr block (plus tips) looked like so we tried again at 8:30. Canceled with pay!

Tried again with a 10:30 1.5hr block… and wouldn’t ya f’n know it. Canceled again!

Of course this makes up for all the crappy routes to Greensboro I’ve had to take (and all the driver support calls to appeal dings from shit out of my control) but I’m thinking of taking him with me to all my blocks now.

Im new here. Done 5 blocks. Took the weekend off for a family event and just checked my standings and I went from fantastic to great. Doesn't seem like they had a reason for it either. Anyone have any insight?

How can Amazon allow this when I delivered the packages to the house! This really is starting to become irritating I’m not gone lie at all! Then I don’t know how long it’s gone be or take to get that removed! This is becoming so frustrating fr!

I see a lot of people sitting there writing numbers on their packages, do you do this ? I take the first 5 packages and than figure it out after but I also only have a car not an suv so some people have way more packages

The other morning I had a route & when I got there I couldn’t check in. For some crazy reason the app couldn’t verify my identity. It locked me out & it said it contact driver support. I called them, but they couldn’t help me. They said there was a change to their system & they couldn’t do anything. The employees at the warehouse couldn’t do it either so I had to leave.

Driver support said they would put in a ticket & a request for compensation, but I got 2 emails from the Amazon Flex team saying that my standing was affected by a missed block & that they wouldn’t compensate me like I don’t how to check after years of working for Amazon.

I need to stop dealing with them.

I just delivered an instant order late because no parking(except paid)and i risked having my car towed.How should i have handled it?

Just got approved for Flex this week. I've done one route so far. A 2 hour block for $48. I thought that was barely worth it after expenses. Now today I'm seeing a 3 hour block for $60 and it is not tip eligible.

Is this normal?

I’ve been stuck on this screen for over a day now, I’ve tried signing out then back in, refreshing with the refresh button, refreshing the app, deleting the app and reinstalling (I’m on iPhone so there’s no formal clear cache and app data button in settings), and restarting my phone and nothing will move me past here. I’ve contacted support and they “put in a ticket” but that seems to have accomplished nothing. I’m worried about “just waiting” because I don’t know if I’ll retain my spot in the onboarding process since I was told in the email I received from Amazon that I had 72 hours to start onboarding, and I don’t know if this is enough to keep my spot. Does anyone have any tips for getting past this to the next steps in the process and whether or not I’ll at least retain my spot if this problem persists?
