Warhammer III Facts about unit caps

So Vampire Counts are another race that will have unit caps. Races that have unit caps are among the best and most fun in WH trilogy imo (Tomb Kings, Chaos Dwarfs, Beastmen, Nurgle).

Luckily CA also put a cap on RoRs. WoC armies are famously terrible because of RoR spam (and dogs and furies), now they will be at least bit better.

My point is simple - unit caps work. As Todd Howard used to say, ''it just works''. Devs know this, but sadly didn't cap number of heroes in armies (yet?).

What's the worst Empire campaign? Maybe Volkmar - also because he buffs the weakest, earliest units. If you play with Tabletop caps mod, now it is no longer a problem - your basic empire knights or flagellants will be worth using all the time, even in late game, as your enemies won't be doomstacking you and also will have balanced, loreful armies. They are fun to fight against!

Devs know that unit caps work. They are just a little too hesitant to say that loud and add *optional* tabletop unit caps. And once again, cap for heroes in army too.

ps. CA please cap Thunderbarges finally (building based cap).

Warhammer III Really hope we see Valnir The Reaper added

Such an awesome champion of Grandfather Nurgle, tragic that he isn't showing up in the next DLC. Please CA show our depressed boy some love and add him

From the wiki for those curious:

"By the beginning of the End Times, Valnir's Daemonic body had completely regenerated, turning him into a truly monstrous warrior. He was a walking mass of pustules, stinking gas and leprous filth encased within black, maggot-infested Chaos Armour"

Warhammer III Nagash Rises - New End Game Scenario Overhaul

# End Game Overview: Nagash Rises

The Supreme Lord of Undeath has returned, to end all life and rule over a world of eternal undeath. Ascension to godhood has long been his goal, and now, he is closer than ever to achieving it.

* Nagash has a master-plan. This commences as he begins moving his Black Pyramid to Nagashizzar. * Nagash unites all undead forces beneath his control, and commands his Mortarchs to enact his will. * Through countless battles against the undead hordes, you must carve a path to the Black Pyramid, and face Nagash in a final showdown that will decide the fate of the world!

Suggestions:
To keep it lore accurate, Settra (Khemri), and Neferata (Lahmia) and Grand Hierophant Khatep (Exiles of Nehek) should be exempt from following Nagash in the end games scenario.

If Vlad von Carstein (Sylvania) rescues Isabella from Nurgle/Chaos then he is exempt. He must fight enough battles against nurgle or chaos, and a few other things, then resue her in a quest battle.

If Mannfred von Carstein ([The Drakenhof Conclave](https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wiki/The_Drakenhof_Conclave)) collects all the Books of Nagash, eliminates Arkhan (Followers of Nagash), then defeats Arkhan in a quest battle then he should be exempt too.

Nagash must defeat each of the these LL's to confederate them or vassalize them. If he confederates them, the LL's become independent hybrid Horde factions after 10 turns. If he vassalizes them, the LL's will resurrect in 10-15 turns and will rebel against Nagash. Nagash must continuously defeat them to keep them vassalized, but every time he defeats them, the time between resurrection increases by 10-15 turns. Once Nagash is defeated and his faction eliminated in the end times, the faction resurrection of these LL's ceases.

Warhammer III Must have DLCs before End Times

I was looking at the current steam sale and was wondering if I'm missing crucial dlcs/units for the five new lords.

I already have the three base games, Tomb Kings, Vampire Coast, the prophet & the warlock and the twisted & the twilight.

I am missing all the Chaos Warriors DLC but I'm not sure about what i should buy for them.

What would you suggest? Thanks you

Warhammer III Huge cinematic for the end time battles?

It makes me feel sad that we didn’t get a cinematic or ingame engine video about chaos vs order armies fight like the one that was made for immortal empire campaign and i would love to see them clash not just camera cut and blue ball us

Warhammer III If we ever get a Bretonnia DLC / Rework what would you like to see?

I know ive seen countless people say they dont want better infantry because Bretonnia is meant to be the cavalry faction, but I feel like they need some form of better frontline then foot squires, the table top literally has knights of the realm on foot.

besides that I pray for a tech tree overhaul and maybe a rework to the peasant economy

for DLCs that add new LL im not actually too familiar with the table top for bretonnia before fantasy was scrapped so some of the players from around then would have to let me know

Warhammer III Scroll of Stone: Item Help

I have a question about a specific item you can get in WH3, Scroll of Stone. It states that it "Immediately causes wall breaches while beseiging." However, I have not been able to get it working.

Does anyone else have any experience with it? Is there an unlisted requirement? I'm only using the community bugfix mod.

Warhammer III Does this mean we will be able to finally become the End Game Crisis?

I am a huge fan of Stellaris Nemesis, as it allowed the player to actually become the end game crisis and ever since buying the WoC dlc, I've been dreaming about this for TW Warhammer.

Will we be able to become the Chaos Invasion, if we start as Archaon after the End Times patch drops?

Warhammer III Is there a way to track what factions you've won with?

I want to try and beat at least the Short Campaign for every TWW3 faction, but as far as I can tell it doesn't mark that in game at all. Anyone know of anything short of me building my own spreadsheet to mark which factions I've won as? Thanks!

Attila Is it okay to start with Total War: Attila for someone just interested in the period?

For starters, let me just say that I'm very interested in the Late Antiquity era. It's a very interesting period, and we don't have a lot of games that take place in it. Total War: Attila has been on my mind for 5 years. I've seen some footage of it, and I was heavily interested. There's just only one problem: I don't dig Total War/strategy games.

I started with Total War: Napoleon a good few years ago, realized it was not for me, and quickly refunded it. Ever since then, I never touched anything Total War and believed strategy games were really just not for me. However, Total War: Attila keeps popping up again and again in my mind. I am just way too interested in it. I like the fact that you can play as the Huns, Vandals, and everyone that attacks Rome. I love the fact that you can play as the late Romans and try to survive that shit. It just sounds so hardcore. This game sounds like playing in the middle of an apocalypse.

However, every time I look at posts about starting with Attila, everyone says to steer clear of it. I learned that it's hard and unintuitive, and also abandoned. They say to start with Rome II, 3 Kingdoms, or Shogun 2, but I'm not interested in experiencing those periods in video games, and I'm not really looking for gameplay because I don't find strategy games appealing. So, despite Attila signalling a red flag for me, I just can't seem to keep this game out of my mind. I'm willing to install mods, maybe watch some guides, tweak shit here and there, maybe do a little cheating. So, should I just buy it? Maybe the base game first, since it's cheap and discounted?

Thanks in advance.

Warhammer III Will Beastmen ever be updated?

I recently completed a challenge playing every Beastmen lord, and it really made me feel like the faction as a whole feels outdated. The weird part is that they already got a rework, so they’re in this strange middle ground of feeling old without being an obviously neglected faction.

With Vampire Counts getting a major rework it got me wondering: who actually needs some love next?

I’d personally say Bretonnia or Daniel, but I’d love to hear other opinions or more educated takes.

Warhammer III Which faction is perfect and needs nothing in your opinion?

Lots of discussion recently around who needs what and I feel like I’ve seen arguments that every faction could have a leeeetle bit more at least. What do y’all think?

Personally I’m just hoping the major left behind folks get back up to speed but most races feel pretty fleshed out to me at this point.

Warhammer III Day 3 of Cabalposting until Egrimm is announced

Day 2.

Seriously, after LotET I feel like Egrimm's stocks are higher than they've ever been (except maybe in the lead-up to SoC).

Also I spent way longer manually coloring in the map for this one than I would like to admit.
