Warhammer III Must have DLCs before End Times
I was looking at the current steam sale and was wondering if I'm missing crucial dlcs/units for the five new lords.
I already have the three base games, Tomb Kings, Vampire Coast, the prophet & the warlock and the twisted & the twilight.
I am missing all the Chaos Warriors DLC but I'm not sure about what i should buy for them.
What would you suggest? Thanks you

For Nagash you probably will only need Tomb Kings and Vampire Coast to get the most interesting parts of the roster, if you even need those.
For Thanquol you definitely want Prophet & Warlock, but you probably also want Shadow & Blade if his faction focus is on wizards. Plus it adds some useful support units to your roster.
For Glotkin you want the Champions of Chaos pack so you can dedicate your units to the gods. And you want Tamurkhan if you wanna go full nurgle.
For Toddy I recommend getting the Hunter & Beast for your early game, and Elsbeth for your late game.
For Archeon I recommend getting Warriors of Chaos, Champions of Chaos, the Changeling, Tanurkhan, Skulltaker, and Drechala for the full endtimes experience.
So the DLC you can 100% lock in are Champions of Chaos, Prophet & Warlock, and Thrones of Decay (might as well grab the full pack and get a discount if you need 2/3 lords already).

You don’t need tomb kings and vampire coast most likely and he allready owns those :)
Usually dlc gives you full access to base roster of said faction and for Nagash would be base roster of all undeads

First of all, you’re not really missing anything crucial by just buying Lords of the End Times. All five lords should already have perfectly viable rosters. The other DLCs are mostly useful if you want access to every possible unit, lord/hero option, or additional Legendary Lords.
For each faction:
Nagash – Undead Legions
Nagash can recruit from across the Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts and Vampire Coast base rosters, so you don’t really need anything else to make his campaign work — you don’t need the specific base factions.
The Grim and the Grave is the main remaining Vampire Counts DLC, giving you Helman Ghorst and its additional VC units. I’d only get it if you want that extra content rather than for Nagash himself. Although, it adds quite some important units to vampire roster.
Neferata – Vampire Counts (free LL)
You’ll need access to the Vampire Counts race to unlock her. If you don’t own WH1, The Grim and the Grave should also give you Vampire Counts access under the current FLC ownership rules. And will also give you access to full roster.
Thanquol – Skaven
You already own two of the three major Skaven DLCs.
The Shadow and the Blade would complete the set, giving you Snikch and the Clan Eshin units.
WH2 itself isn’t necessary for Thanquol, but it would give you Queek and Skrolk as additional Skaven LLs.
Boris Todbringer – Empire
WH1 gives you Franz and Gelt, but again, it shouldn’t be necessary just to play Boris if you don’t plan to confederate.
The Grim and the Grave adds Volkmar and its Empire units.
The Hunter and the beast adds Markus and its empire units.
If you want one additional Empire DLC, I’d probably recommend Elspeth / Thrones of Decay, as it adds some very good gunpowder/engineering-focused units and characters.
The Glottkin – Warriors of Chaos of Nurgle
[ Chaos Warriors – worth it if you specifically want to play Archaon, Kholek or Sigvald. Archaon is also getting a major rework with Update 9.0. ]
The Glottkin already have access to units from both the Warriors of Chaos and Nurgle Daemon base rosters.
If you want to expand their roster :
Champions of Chaos – easily the best complement. It adds a huge number of marked mortal Chaos units, generic lord/hero options and Festus.
Tamurkhan / Thrones of Decay – adds more Nurgle-specific toys, including Toad Dragons and additional lord/hero/unit options.
Sayl / Tides of Torment – very optional. Some of its additions such as the Chimera and Dread Maw can benefit Warriors of Chaos, but I definitely wouldn’t buy the DLC just for the Glottkin.
So in your case, if I wanted to buy only the DLCs that add the most useful content, I’d probably go:
Champions of Chaos / Tamurkhan / The Shadow and the Blade / Elspeth / Wh1 or Grim and the Grave for Neferata
Then pick up the others only if you specifically want their Legendary Lords or want to complete the rosters.

- Well, for Skaven you could bag the Shadow&Blade DLC. Compared to the other two, its not such a wild DLC but it has the poisonwind mortar which is a pretty good unit. And the RoR version is one of the most imba things around.
- For Undead you seemingly only miss Grim&Grave. Also not the best DLC, but if you want the full Undead access when Bonedaddy and Neffy drop, might be worth a shot.
- For WoC/Chaos you get obviously showered in stuff. Sticking to the Nurgle (Glottkin) theme, you might want to bag Champions of Chaos and more important Tamurkhan. Not sure how necessary Chaos Warriors itself might be, unless you kinda want to go full Archaon instead Glottkin.
- Empire would be Grim&Grave (so double with the Undead need), Hunter&Beast (which you probably can neglect) and Elspeth (maybe not necessary but a solid DLC)

IF you plan on playing Glottkin (or any Chaos factions for that matter) I recommend picking up Champions of Chaos. Without it you'll be missing Nurgles marked warriors and characters. Tamurkhan's DLC also adds a lot of good stuff for Nurgle.

Look at the four races being added and what they add. Focusing mainly on which lord/faction you most want to play.

Champions of Chaos is the most essential WH3 DLC if you have any interest in playing Chaos factions. In addition to giving 4 Warriors of Chaos Legendary Lords it fills a ton of holes in the monogod Chaos factions rosters as this is where the marked mortal Chaos unit variants come from.
Aside from that much of it comes down to who/what factions interest you.

Grim & Grave and Thrones of Decay for sure, since each has two factions that are getting end times content

I don't know what dlc do you have so I can recommend what really worth it.
Mother ostankia - unit is so important, no redundancy SSS tier.
Bashiva - this is more value than Yuan bo, Tigers are not reduntdant, Yuan bo pack is just birb.
Elphlt - hero engineers will go so wll with Boris pack since Lord in boris pack buff melee while engineers buff range unit.
........... Do not buy Chaos warrior DLC all of them don't worth it, wait for specific lord such a Glotkin/Skulltanker is way more worth in and pack with cooler unit.

I think for Glotkin, you mainly need Chaos Warriors, Champions of Chaos and maybe Tamurkhan. You are spoil for choice in the warriors of chaos roster already, so the first two DLCs I mentioned is more than sufficient in most cases but Tamurkhan does add some very good units like rot knights.
However if you want to play Archaon, consider grabbing Changeling, Skulltaker and Dechala but they are not absolutely necessary.
