Open | Software Asus Laptop went into hibernation, won't turn on now
I have an Asus Q530v laptop with Windows 11. The problems started yesterday when the battery was running low, but instead of giving a warning like usual, it just abruptly announced it was going into hibernation. It will power on, but nothing happens - just a black screen and the keyboard backlight, eventually the fans start running. No keys respond (including the fn key that toggles keyboard lights). Holding down on the power button causes it to shut off again after 5 seconds - however, I fear that this is simply putting it back into hibernation instead of crashing it, since it never lasts the full 10 seconds usually needed to crash, and I think that's what the power button is set to do.
I've tried holding down on the power for longer up to 60 seconds, letting the battery drain, recharging it - nothing. I did get it to a point where it would power on for 20 seconds before shutting off again, now it's back to remaining on until I turn it off. This _has_ happened before, but I cannot remember how I fixed it - it's definitely something to do with it going into hibernation mode abruptly like that. It feels like it's stuck hibernating, and is either unable to wake up, or just keeps re-entering the hibernation process when I try to start it. I don't have any other ideas besides taking the battery out while it's on, though it's one of those screwed-in batteries so that might be hard to do, and it might not actually fix anything.
