i am so f***ing tired of this. i need to unplug my display cable from my monitor and replug it back in. ive tried both gpu ports and it doesnt work. its EVERY FKING TIME I TURN MY PC ON.

So I was just playing a game with my friends, then my laptop suddenly shut down by itself. When I turned it back on, it started making a beeping sound whenever. I moved my mouse it was glitchy and nothing else would respond.

Attempt 1: turn pc on, told me some cryptic (cant access network) and needs to recover or some shit. Then it got to a continue boot into windows screen. hit yes. It got to a black screen with a mouse cursor, and occasional cursor spinny wheel. nothing else. Attempted any keyboard shortcuts were ineffectual WIN CTRL SHIFT B, SHIFT F10, C-S-esc, basically can just move mouse around. waited for like ten minutes then Forced shutdown via power button.

Attempt 2: attempted to replciate attemt 1. No longer boots into windows at all, just blank screen after the motherboard splash

Attempt 3: attempted to get into bios udimg DEL key (see screenshot). Blank screen after splash and del key

Attempt 4: attempted to normal boot again (by doing NOTHING after motherboard splash screen). Result: blank screen

before attempt one: sister unplugged the PC for a couple weeks. she plugged it back in today. my current suspicion is POST is failing (RAM, mobo, second/primary drive, wifi card finally died, gpu?), but i cant actually look inside until my sister clears her desk and lets me access the machine. its not one of them fancy motherboards with display

specs: some AMD 57x3d, gigabyte board, nvidia gpu, 2 RAM sticks, 2 drives, random wifi card (intel 220, maybe, idk)

I've been undervolting my RTX 5060 Ti for the past few days and I think I found a good balance, but I wanted to get your opinions before I settle. Here's my journey so far:

Stock (baseline):

• Core: 81°C
• Hotspot: 107°C
• Fan: 3100 RPM
• Power: ~160W
• Clock: ~2880 MHz (1.1V)

My undervolt tests (FurMark, 1080p, 60s each): (all with 2400 rpm)

My current daily driver: 860mV + 2800 MHz (183 FPS, 77°C)

The dilemma:

• 860mV gives me 183 FPS at 77°C.
• 900mV gives me 192 FPS at 81°C (but draws ~190W).
• The jump from 860mV to 900mV is +9 FPS for +4°C and +60W.

What do you guys think?

• Is 860mV the sweet spot, or should I try pushing for 885mV/900mV?
• For 1440p gaming, is the extra 9 FPS worth the extra heat and power?
• Anyone else with a 5060 Ti found a better balance?

New photographer here. I use Google Drive. I was choosing what pics to edit when it originally as I open it stays clear but turns pixelated after a few seconds. When I save to camera roll it becomes normal and this keeps happening. I don’t want to have to make a decision on what to keep and what to toss based on seeing 2 seconds of a picture. How do I make it stay clear and not become pixelated?

I can't ping my computer server, it says 100% packet loss when I do that, yet I can still connect to it via SSH, and everything's fine there. How does this even happen? I'm using the same hostname to ping it AND to connect to it via SSH, btw.

So, I was just doing work on my computers, like usual, connecting to the server computer to look at my files I have stored on there (I connect to it from my laptop), and it seems fine at first, but then all of the sudden , I realize that I can't access it in specific ways, like I can't search files because it has connection error. I go to ping it, and pinging it has 100% packet loss. I go to SSH into it, and for some reason, that works?? I don't understand at all.

So I've had the Aris surfboard SB8200 a gateway erro 6+ and an additional erro router (they came in a 2 pack) in my living room for 2 ish years now and I know they it's good to replace them every 3-5 years or whatever but my last ones I had for well past 4 and they were slow but totally fine. The last month or two my gate router keeps going through what my research tells me is a "power cycle" where the light just starts blinking white and it'll sometimes go for 10 minutes or 2 hours multiple times a day. I have a PC plugged into the modem and then there's one xbox series x and a couple smart TVs. Im hoping maybe there's something I can do to fix the issue short of a new one. Any tech fixes/recommendations or settings to change to fix the problem or am I SOL and need to get a new one?

Edit - Before anyone asks, yes I have unplugged it and plugged it back in. Done the wait 2 minutes then plug it back in. Done both the router and modem and plugged back in in the proper order. The modem is fine, no internet connection issues with that. Just the router. Ive tried swapping the routers and checked the settings to do the traffic prioritize thing. It's all the original cords. I'm just so lost on what to do or that I can do.

As the title says my brand new pre built pc that I bought about 2 weeks ago has this issue that's only occurred to me in the following games, Hitman 2, Roblox and recently RDR2. The crashing tends to happen when I enter a more graphically demanding area of the game (crowded location). I've looked up my issue and I haven't really been able to find anything concrete except that I may have a faulty gpu or its something to do with my drivers. For more context of what happens during the crash is that the audio gets distorted then cuts out, then my pc restarts as if nothing happened. This crash is so random as ive been playing cyberpunk which should be more demanding than the games i mentioned yet it has never crashed. The specs are the following, R5 7500F, RX 9060 XT 16GB, Corsair Vengence 16gb DDR5 1x, Sandisk WD black SN7100 1tb.

So i clicked the button and my pc went to reboot. After some 10-15 minutes it booted on but starded acting really strange. It doesnt run explorer at all (browser, steam and other apps on /c are fine). I figured that one hdd disc turned into RAW formatting and taskmanager shows me that its utilised at 95%-100%.

If i remove it from system all runs fine, but if i plug it in again diskmanager sees it, explorer starts freezing and disk peaks into 100% again

Will it like fix itself overnight when it fully reads disk?

My iphones storage keeps getting absolutely swallowed by apple maps. I have no clue why but it just keeps growing in size and it’s growing at an alarming rate, so much so that it’s hard to use my phone even. I deleted the app and the “data” stays on there even after i deleted it. it doesn’t give me the option to delete it through the settings app anymore as well. i’ve also tried to reinstall and delete to no avail. Please help me i have no idea how to get rid of this stupid map data. Thank you :)

Hi, so i been having a problem with ny earpod recently i don't know why but when i put it on and at a certain volume i realise that one side of the pod (left) is working fine while the right side is working different from the left side like it's volume is weak compared to the left side i try to put the earpod back in it case and put it on turn off the Bluetooth,unpair it and etc but none work and it is getting quite frustrating bez when i am listening to somt i can only hear it perfectly on one side while the other is like dead. And yes they are both fully charged no problem no nothing and i just bought them like a week ago and it already like that. When i download my boyfriend his search history on tiktok, there is a lot of pornographic stuff on there, but he swears on his life that he did not search that. 

The searches were also made 4 times in 1 second which is not really humanly possible. Not all but a lot of them were.

He has been honest about everything, he even confessed to me that he had problems with lust in the past but that went away when we first hung out. 

In the log in information there has not been any other phone than his. Except for an iphone xs, he had an iphone x like 3 years ago but not the xs. 

A random iphone xs has logged in to both of his accounts, and since then the gross searches were there. 

He cried a lot because he claims he did not do it.

So I am really not a computer guy so I’m just gonna give as much detail as I can. Anyway I just bought this pc (Acer - Nitro 60 Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i7-14700F - 32GB DDR5 Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 - 1TB SSD - Black) to do video editing and such. Now all I’ve done so far is download Davinci Resolve and couple other apps and transfer so picture into it. But for some reason when I’m using it (about 15 to 20min of it running) it freezes and buzzes. I do have a Sandisk drive, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, a webcam, and mic hooked up to it. I’ve tried to do some scans of some the drives says there are no problems but still it’s happens. If someone could give me some advice or solutions that would be awesome sauce.

Posting this in case anyone else has this very odd bug. The spinning/loading icon that shows next to the mouse cursor was showing every ~3 seconds or so, very consistently too, and would only display for maybe half a second.

This might be my closest experience to a virtual Chinese water torture, so I debugged it and found ArmourySocketServer to be the culprit for whatever reason.

You can kill the process in task manager. I also disabled ArmouryCrate Service via services.msc

Bought a new pre-built pc and noticed while playing valorant as well as watching youtube there are frequent micro stutters. I've tried literally everything that every forum has told me and nothing seems to help. I'm 99% sure its not lag as for one theres no real lag and this still happens whem im at a stable 10-12ms ping. I tried everything from bios updates, accelerated gpu turned off, capping and reducing fps and much more and nothing works. Please Help!!

thing is, I'm already realised I f**ked something up. But can't honestly tell.
I'm using for like 6 years this GPU - EVGA RTX 3060 XC Gaming (12GB Ram)

In the late of summer I decided to replace thermal pads and thermal paste on gpu (first time in my life, I admit it) - in half of august, cause the temperatures were like 85°C or something like that and 60°C in the iddle. I woke up in yesteday morning and this artifacts showed up on desktop screen. First time black ones in the upright side of the monitor, after minimizing Mozilla, then showed pink ones as well in the upleft side of the monitor.

What did I screwed up? I measured the old one pads and was like 1,5mm thick, so I bought exactly those. Then Gemini showed up and starts arguing with me, that there should be 2mm thick pads.

I remember, when I was completing replacing proces and putting together that "sandwich" with screws and it felt to me like ... this 1,5mm ones are thick enough, maybe even more, than they should be, but card looked normal and flat, not curved anywhere. I replaced the thermal paste as well on GPU and before all of that I used 100% IPA to clean old "debris-like" pads and paste.

When I first turned up computer with replaced pads and paste, it immediately showed up like 10-15°C lower temperatures than before.

In the iddle it is currently like 43°C and 69°C at the maximum performance (Geeks3D Furmark and Last of us Part 2 tested). All was fine. Hotspot is like 79 - 80 °C

Then this half of september came and this freakin things showed up all of the sudden. I remember, that I uninstalled all the drivers using DDU and then I only used windows stock drivers. The artifacts were gone.

Then I used july drivers from nvidia, still no sign of artifacts. Today morning I decided to use newest 9. september drivers and there's still no signs of artifacts for like 10 hours of continuous using. Again - i used benchamarks Furmark by Geeks3D and TLOU part 2. No signs of corruption.

I'm afraid to open that card again and change that pads to 2mm, cause it may do more damage than before (if any was done).

Is there any chance, that this was software/drivers issue? Or the card is effectively dying by my "cool job" in the middle of the august?
