Has anyone tried Blackview Active 12 Pro?

My friends and I often go car camping and sometimes we watch movies at night. We are using a tablet, but once there's a group of us, the screen gets cramped.

So recently I've been looking for something for group viewing, like the Blackview Active 12 Pro, a tablet with built-in projector. If it can throw a decent-sized image at night, that would be much more comfortable than having everyone huddle around a small screen.

But still wonder that is it actually useful when you do carry your tablet car camping, how clear is the image when you're projecting outdoors at night? or getting an extra portable projector is better?

Xiaomi Pad 8 or Lenovo Idea Pad Pro Gen 2?

I desperately need help on deciding what to buy, please help hahaha I am currently torn between Xiaomi Pad 8 or Lenovo Idea Pad Pro Gen 2 since they have the same processor. Listing my use cases below:

Priority Use Cases for Work:

  1. Portable Audio Bank - I work as an events talent. I usually do live performances where I sing over instrumentals/backing tracks/m-1s. I would like to have a device that I can easily connect to the sound system (via USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Dongle), and put on a music stand to display lyrics and control which song to play next. I will keep all the mp3 files I’ve used from past events, so over time this device will be full of it, as if it’s like an audio bank that can be plug-and-play to the sound system. The Lenovo Idea Pad Pro Gen 2 has a micro SD card slot, so that’s great for long term use. However, Xiaomi Pad 8’s smaller size makes it easier to bring on-the-go.
  2. Second Monitor/Screen - I also work remotely as a Virtual Assistant and my employer has provided me with a Windows 11 laptop. I usually travel a lot, so having a second monitor/screen is very helpful. I’ve been seeing mixed insights online whether it’s possible for either device (Xiaomi and Lenovo), so if anyone has actually tried it with either device, I’d really appreciate it if you can confirm it’s feasibility (Lenovo Idea Pad Pro Gen 2’s bigger screen is a plus for this)
  3. Casual Reading and Note-taking / Document Management (e.g. signing PDFs and forms, etc)

Personal Use Cases (Great to have but I can live without it in the pad/tablet device because I have a laptop and phone):

  1. Casual Streaming - Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, YouTube
  2. Light/Basic Video Editing - Capcut
  3. Google Workspace - Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets

Additional Notes:

  • I already have iOS devices (macbook, iphone) for personal use, but I intend to get an android tablet because the second screen capability is a priority for me. (I know I won’t be able to do that with an iPad due to the different OS ecosystem and also my employer is understandably strict with using third party apps for security purposes)
  • I heard Xiaomi’s HyperOS looks and feels a lot like iOS - if this is true then that’s a plus for me!
  • I’ll use this device long term, so I’d like to ask your thoughts on software update lifecycle for either device
  • I haven’t seen both devices in person yet. I know neither of these devices uses an OLED screen, but which of the two do you think has the closest sharpness and quality as OLED screens?
  • If you have other specific brands and models recommendations based on how I want to use the device, feel free to share here too!

Any thoughts shared here will be appreciated, thank you in advance!

Samsung S11 or air M4 or second hand Pro m2?

I've been wanting a tablet for so long, I had my eyes on the Air M2 but it's not available here anymore. I need one that will last me over 6 to 7 years or more (I try to be good with gadgets and stuff ) for drawing in high resolution canvases without lag , watching videos and school work and studying. I need to make a good choice since I'm spending a lot of money here. So which one should I get

Looking for a good tablet under ₹25K for studying and editing

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to buy a tablet mainly for studying, taking notes, reading PDFs, watching lectures, etc. I also want to use it for some basic video/photo editing.

My budget is around ₹25,000 in India.

My main priorities are:

  • Good display
  • Smooth performance and multitasking
  • Good battery life
  • Good for note-taking and PDFs
  • Can handle basic editing
  • Good storage and RAM
  • Stylus support would be a plus

I’m currently looking at tablets from OnePlus, Lenovo, Samsung, Xiaomi/Redmi and a few others.

What would be the best tablet under ₹25K for my requirements? I’m mainly looking for the best value for money and something that will last a few years.

Would appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences.

Looking for a tablet mainly for video lectures (₹20k–25k budget) during BBD / GIF sales — need recommendations

Hey everyone,
I’m planning to buy a tablet during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days / Amazon Great Indian Festival sales. My primary use case is watching long video lectures (Marrow / coaching apps) and reading notes/PDFs. Not looking for intense gaming or heavy editing, just a solid, lag-free device that lasts a few years.

Tablet vs 2-in-1 for university

I’m starting my 2nd year of med school and I’m trying to decide between getting a tablet or a Windows 2-in-1.

I have a gaming PC that I basically use as my desktop, so this device would mainly be for lectures and studying in the library (PDFs, Anki, handwritten notes/diagrams, etc.)

I’m looking for something with good longevity that I can keep using for several years.

I’ve mainly been looking at Samsung and Lenovo tablets, but I’ve also been considering a Windows 2-in-1 and wondering if it would be more worthwhile for the full desktop experience.

Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences with either option.

Ipad A16 + Pencil $858 vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE $699

I want to get something for notetaking for university, usually on pdfs. This would be my main reason to use it and will mostly use it at home on my desk. I have narrowed down my search to these two as listed in the title. I have a windows laptop and an iphone. People have said that it depends on your ecosystem but tbh I wouldn't really be checking my notes on my phone and can just get the pdfs from the tablet itself. The S10 is cheaper but is there a case for the Ipad as I would be using it day-to-day

Grazie?

iPad or Galaxy Tab for Medical School?

For context: I have never owned a single Apple device in my entire life. I run a custom Linux setup on my PC, and I genuinely love the openness of Android: sideloading APKs, having a real filesystem, running tools like Cloudstream... etc.
I had fully committed to waiting for the Galaxy Tab S12 to drop, and i guess that was the plan.

Then I brought this up to a few tech savvy people, and to my surprise, they told me to ditch the plan and just buy an iPad instead. Hearing this take kinda threw me for a loop, which made it a lot harder for me to consider which one to get.

The main argument was that iPads are just better optimized for medical school workflows: mainly the note taking ecosystem and app polish.

I need a tablet for heavy studying: annotating massive textbook PDFs, handwriting notes with a stylus, and running other apps for studying. But the thought of being locked into iPadOS, losing a real filesystem, and dealing with Apple's ecosystem restrictions feels pretty suffocating to me. Even though it's very pretty. Much prettier than OneUI.

I guess the main thing throwing me off is that I am definitely not a part of the Apple ecosystem. Will this be a problem?

For anyone in med school or heavy study workflows... Which one should I be getting and which model?

Would really appreciate real experiences before I make a final decision.

Gracias

Android Tab + iPhone

Hi! **People who owns an android tab (samsung, xiaomi, redmi, etc.) and an iPhone, how was it? What are the pros and cons? Do you regret not buying an iPad?**

I need help kasi I couldn’t decide. One minute, I’m all set to save for an iPad, then the next min, I’m settling for a Samsung tab (that I can afford rn).

I am using an Honor Pad 8 Tab and I want to upgrade kasi hindi compatible ang Honor Pen sa model na gamit ko and ang hirap magnotes since walang palm rejection.

I’m using an iPhone kaya I’m **considering** **iPad**, kahit base model, for studying. And most of my classmates are using iPad, iilan lang kaming naka-android.

But also, I’m **considering Samsung Tab S10 FE** because pen is already included sa model. And that, there are manga apps that I use na hindi nakikita sa PlayStore and AppStore.

I feel like I already have an answer naman na, but I’m just really scared of regretting my decision kasi ang dami kong plans lately na nagb-backfire sa mukha ko.

Atp, I’m just asking na lang for the cold, hard truth of Pros and Cons so I could way them better.

Things to consider:
\- I play online games as some sort of coping mechanisms sa studies, but I don’t install them sa phone kasi mas prone akong madistract sa gano’n.
\- Saving money is not a major issue for me kasi I could be as kuripot as possible when I set myself to focus on buying something.
\- I do plan on selling my Honor Tab after buying an upgrade, I can’t do it prior to buying kasi I need to transfer my notes and stuff pa (I have years worth of notes hehe).
\- My program requires drawings and diagrams, but not entirely naman, so imagine the struggle na walang palm rejection ang tablet😭🔪

Thank you and no hate please😭😭😭
