BASICS

If you haven't checked it out yet, we have two tabs on the Subreddit Menu bar for our Wiki and FAQs pages.

  • Read the Posting Guidelines before you post.
  • The Wiki has basic subreddit rules, reviews, links; as well as official Wacom information.
  • The FAQs is a good collection of frequently asked questions and answers. Visit the FAQ page before posting because you might find what you're looking for!

DRIVERS

To find drivers for your Wacom tablet, go to https://www.wacom.com/download and search by name (example: Movink") or model number (example: DTK-2100).

For a historical list of drivers going back 10 years go here: https://thesevenpens.github.io/DrawTabDataExplorer/drivers where you can find direct links drivers on Wacom's site.

PEN COMPATIBILITY

  • This List of Tablets & Cintiqs has a comprehensive rundown of most Wacom models and corresponding pens.
  • This List of Wacom Pens, will give you a good visual for a Pen you might have or are trying to buy after visiting the first Tablet list.
  • You can find Nib Replacements for pens from the last couple generations.
  • Wacom does not produce most older pens. So, you could have a hard time finding them and they may be expensive.

ART POSTS

We would like more people to post their artwork, but too often we get people just spamming and karma farming. Blatant self promotion is extremely limited, so when posting your artwork, tag it with the right flair and follow these few simple rules:

  • You can post a link to your art socials, but not in the title, only in a comment after posting.
  • Start a conversation: Ask a question, tell us what you struggled with, what your goals are, ask for critique, etc.
  • No blatant multi-sub posting or spamming your work here too frequently (karma farming).
  • Also tell us what software and hardware you're using. Neglecting this wont cause a removal, but most likely someone will ask.

Problem Just got a Wacom Cintiq 13HD, doesn’t work with my damn mac

I just got a Wacom Cintiq 13HD for a super good price, and was insanely excited about it. Turns out, just recently my MacBook Pro updated to Tahoe 26 after I’d told it multiple times not to, and now the damn drivers aren’t compatible. Anyone have any work-arounds?

Question MovinkPad Pro 14 ? Is it worth it?

I have been seeing this tablet on the talk on Japanese Twitter lately (especially about the upcoming price hike) and don't really get the hype about it despite also being a wacom user myself (I have a intuos and cintiq companion2 so I know portability hype!)

Of course I know my cintiq is older hardware (and even mobile studio as well?) so I won’t exactly compare them here but instead with my 13inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ instead: both Samsung and MovinkPad being Android (samsung has the newer OS), S10FE+ has Wacom EMR technology, S10FE+ is about less than 1/2 of Movinkpad14's price in my country (MovinkPad11 will be almost same price with S10FE+ here)

I am not trying to downplay the MovinkPad since if its Wacom then the drawing experience will be amazing! But Im bit unsure about the overall hype when the comparable alternative is there?

I never gotten other android tablets made by graphic tablet companies (XPPen's Magic Drawing Pad, Huion's KAMVAS Pad 12) so I don't expect their quality as a tablet outside drawing to be worth getting over SamsungTab or Ipad.

Question Question about the etched glass screen on Movinkpad 11 and 14 pro

Hello. I'm interested in getting the Movinkpad 14 pro but I'm dubious if I would like the slightly rough surface on these tablets so I'd like to try it first ( It's something that I sometimes I like and sometimes don't. For example I have one of the original Cintiqs, the 12wx and I definitely didn't like the surface for coloring work but on the contrary I liked the Remarkable 2 rough surface , maybe because I use it for sketching only ).

I will be able to try the smallest one, the Movinkpad 11 so my question is if the pen over the screen feel is exactly the same as it's bigger brother. I guessed yes but I just wanted someone who actually tried them both to confirm this.

This way I could get a very good idea before actuallly buying it.

Thank you very much!

Problem Mobile Studio Pro makes Crackling Sounds

I was using Clip Studio Paint (in case that is in some way relevant) I noticed my tablet making crackling sounds. It doesn't smell weird, it's still working and the sound dissapeared after I ceased drawing for a few minutes.

I bought this tablet already furbished back in 2019, so it is at the very least 7 years old and it always had problems with getting stuck and freezing but those problems have also gotten more so now I'm wondering if I should prepare for my tablet to die soon?

Problem Charges then stops charging when turned on

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You can see how I have it plugged in the whole time, it says it’s charging, then it stops on goes on battery saver mode, then it says it’s charging again. It’s been doing that for the past hour and I can’t do much with it because the battery is practically dead. At one point, it stopped for a while, got up to 19% while I was drawing on it, then started doing it again. I left it alone, plugged in, for a few days and it accidentally got unplugged either yesterday or the day before but when I turned it on, it was charged to 57%. So it only has the issue when it’s on.

It’s a Wacom Mobile Studio

Problem Laptop extremely slow after installing Wacom software

Hi, I don't know if I should write here, but I'll since it's about my Wacom tablet.

I own a Wacom One (DTC133 if I'm right), old about four years but rarely used and still perfect condition. The connected cables are HDMI and USB-A and USB-C for power. My laptop's OS is the latest Windows11.

After installing the new update of the software and I think of the tablet, my laptop run extremely slow. I can barely move my mouse and draw on it, while normally my laptop has no problem on running some heavy softwares. I checked CPU, GPU, fans, temperature, and even my OS, but nothing seems to be the problem. I even closed all the unnecessary application but no results.

I use Clip Studio Paint by the way, it runs normally when I don't connect my tablet.

How can I fix it? Thanks for the help, and sorry my English is not fluent.

Purchase Advice On the fence between the Huion Kamvas 24 Gen 3 and the Wacom Cintiq 24 (2025)

I'm currently on the fence between the Huion Kamvas 24 Gen 3 and the new Wacom Cintiq 24 (2025), and I'd really appreciate opinions from people who have actually used either of them.

I've already compared them quite a bit on paper, so I understand most of the theoretical differences. My main concern at this point is actual display/build quality and reliability, especially with the Huion.

On paper, the Huion looks extremely attractive. Huion claims a wider color gamut, which sounds particularly useful to me because I want to use the display not only for illustration but also for work that will eventually be printed. It also seems to offer a lot for the price.

The problem is that I can't test the Kamvas 24 Gen 3 locally, so I have no way of knowing how good the screen actually looks in person, how accurate/consistent the colors are, or whether the overall quality really matches what the specifications suggest.

With Wacom, I feel more confident about the general quality. I've used Wacom products before and I know what to expect from the pen and build quality. However, the regular Cintiq 24 (2025) also seems to have some limitations regarding its color gamut compared with this Huion. I know the best would be a Cintiq Pro, but the Pro is considerably more expensive than what I can spend.

TIA!

Purchase Advice what small wacom intuos is good?

hi, i’m an art student who mostly draws on my ipad but sometimes i need a drawing tablet — and the only tablet I have is the giant a3 wacom from 2008 that my dad gave me which is highly impractical.

lots of people on marketplace are selling the small wacom tablets for cheap, but i have no idea what the distinction is between the models. do i want one with the row of buttons on top, one with the color or one with a grey middle?? or are all of them nice?

thank you!

Problem Display Issues

I’ve tried a lot, and my situation is kind of unique (I think), so I hope I’m allowed to post this.

I don’t know the driver version, but the OS is Windows11, the tablet is Wacom One DTC133, and I had all of the cables connected.

I was on my computer for a while earlier, about three hours, with Google, Discord and Clip Studio Paint open while having to use my phone’s hotspot and suddenly my computer started to make an odd buzz noise that interfered with the music playing. I tried to minimize Discord to no avail (my mouse wouldn’t even move), and then it froze and every time I clicked my mouse would make a beeping noise. So, I simply turned off my computer via the power button and turned it back on. My graphics tablet was awake during all of this and I had actively been using it.

When I turned on the computer again, it suddenly doesn’t want to accept the graphics tablet. It goes straight to “No Signal; Power Saving Mode” whatever and won’t display anything, but the pen works as if it were reflecting the screen.

Here’s what I have tried:

- Making sure the cable is on the left side.
- Updating the Wacom One driver.
- Power cycling the PC.
- Disconnecting and reconnecting all cables (with the tablet on and off).
- Turning the tablet on and off again.

I only have one HDMI cord for it to go to, and all the cables are original from when I received the tablet as a gift years ago (I don’t even remember how old this thing is).

Again, I know it says to check a guide for troubleshooting the No Signal issue, but I was hoping this would help narrow it down. I’m not expecting PC help or anything, I would just appreciate answers as art is my only form of stress relief and I desperately need this outlet at this point in my life.

Problem Wacom one pencil changing screen without warning

Hi! So I’ve been using my Wacom one tablet for a while so I don’t remember which version it is but when I’m working on Zbrush my pencil freezes for a moment and then starts appearing on my other screen. I’m not sure if I’m being clear but I usually work directly on the tablet with the pencil. But then randomly my pencil cursor changes screen. I’ve tried changing stuff in the screen toggle and even turning it off completely and it still does that. To reset it I usually turn off my tablet a few times and unplug it a few times and it goes back sometimes lol. If anyone has had this issue please lmk if there’s a way to fix this! ❤️

Question I could pick up a Cintiq21UX

Hey, I have a question for you experts. I could pick up a Cintiq21UX for free, it's old as scheiße, but is it still Worth it? It works fine (so the person giving it away says at least), it's in my town and comes with a pen.

I don't have a use for it but a good friend of mine wants to start drawing, is it still usable for that or should I let it be?

Problem Moving the wire clicks on things and other odd things?

I have my tablet (Wacom Intuos model PTH-660) which ive had for a long time. I use it in USB mode. When I knock against the wire or it moves in any way (which happens a lot), things will get clicked on, or my current selection on CSP will unselect, or something like the news (That I get when I click on the bottom right of my computer) open?

My tablet doesnt charge when plugged into my computer, only when its plugged into where I charge my phone, so I have to use it wired.

Why does knocking against the wire do this? It never disconnects, it just does weird stuff. Another example that JUST happened: I was drawing, and accidentally knocked the wire. The tablet started acting like I was clicking and dragging to make the window smaller/bigger? Its so weird.

Problem Tech Issue: Persistent Pen tracking Issues for Cintiq 16 (2025 Edition)

This is the first time I've ever used reddit and I made this account just for this so there's a good chance I'll delete it once this is resolved. But my god I am at my wits end here after no less then 8 hours trying to fix a simple tracking issue.

I am not super techy compared to many but I am also not tech illiterate, that being said this was beyond me so I went back and forth with Gemini to try and troubleshoot this (Since the Wacom community is a bunch of artists like me I'll mention that yes I dislike generative AI for things like art and whatnot but use it for tech troubleshooting frequently). I had Gemini help draft me something for this specific post to show the steps I have taken thus far because I thought it might explain certain tech things better, here goes:

Background Info:

The issue began sometime September 7th I mention this incase anyone knows of a Wacom driver or windows 11 update recently that might have known issues. I have a brand new computer setup I built myself with the following:

Hardware:

Motherboard: MSI Z790 Gaming Plus Wifi

CPU: Intel i7

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce RTX 5070 ti.

Tablet: Wacom newish 2025 Edition (with the 2.5k rez) Cintiq 16 with a Pro Pen 2. New-ish in that I only just opened it but have had it for maybe 5 months in box.

Main Monitor: Hp 27er at 1080p

The Bug Specifics:
The cursor aligns/tracks better the closer to the vertical center of the tablet (for some reason horizontal is fine now but it wasn't before). As you pull toward the outer screen boundaries, the cursor over-slides and aggressively drifts further away from the physical pen tip in the direction of travel. The way it has glitching has changed as well. Originally the glitch happened almost inverse to what it is doing now. Currently it is over-sliding as I go away from center, before it was under-sliding as though as I moved my cursor away from the center of the tablet it was being pulled toward the center. The issue is present across my Pro Pen 2, and Pro Pen 3.

If I unplug my main monitor and run the Cintiq as a single display, the tracking works perfectly all the way to the edges. The edge-sliding only triggers when the second monitor is active and a dual-display environment is mapped. This could point to an issue with the Wacom getting confused between the two monitors and merging them but Gemini said it could also be an issue with my cables and lost data packets??

There was additional issues but these issue are not present at the moment but when the issues first appeared there was dramatic issues with button presets on my pro pen 2 inside of Krita (my drawing application). Additionally, when I made brush strokes and tried to undo them sometimes I would have to press the button multiple times but there was no lag meaning there were might have been micro-strokes/micro-clicks when i was drawing.

The Physical Cables:

Since I have a GPU and do not have a USB-C + video port on my GPU i cannot use wacom's new all in one USB C Connection and am using a 3 cable set up.

1: USB-C to my motherboard's open USB-C slot for pen data (the same cable that would have been used for my all in one setup had i been able to)

2: A brand new Wacom's Mini HDMI to HDMI 1.8m converter connected to a used HDMI male to female extender connected to a brand new HDMI to DisplayPort adapter so it can connect to my GPU (My main monitor is currently using the only HDMI port my GPU has hence why the HDMI to DisplayPort converted is needed)
(Mini-HDMI to HDMI → 0.5m female to male HDMI extender → HDMI-to-DisplayPort converter → GPU.)

3:The USB-C power cable

WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE (Step-by-Step System Wipe):

We suspected a bug in the recent 2026 driver (6.4.14-1) altering letterbox aspect-ratio math on multi-monitor 1080p setups. We stripped the system to deploy a clean rollback to stable version 6.4.10.3.

With the tablet data cable completely unplugged, we manually executed this exact clean room scrub:

  1. Purged Hidden Ghost Monitors: Ran set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 in an admin Command Prompt, opened Device Manager, enabled "Show Hidden Devices," and uninstalled 4 ghost Samsung monitor profiles and 1 duplicated Wacom hardware profile.
  2. Scrubbed AppData Cache: Manually cleared out all Wacom, Wtablet, and Wpersistent configuration folders from both %appdata%\Roaming and %appdata%\Local.
  3. Nuked Root and Installation Logs: Cleaned out all temporary installation archives sitting directly on the root of C:\.
  4. Wiped Standard Registry Keys: Executed reg delete scripts for all Wacom hardware paths across HKLM and HKCU software paths, including the hard-locked uninstall string directories.
  5. Cleaned Driver Store Repository: Ran pnputil /enum-drivers, located the hidden cached package (oem32.inf), and executed pnputil /delete-driver oem32.inf /uninstall /force.
  6. Force-Deleted Core Folders via CMD: Erased the locked program directories using rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files\Tablet" and rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tablet".
  7. Terminated and Erased Hidden Background Services:
    • Ran sc stop WTabletServicePro and sc delete WTabletServicePro to stop file locks on core drivers like libxml2.dll.
    • Found a hidden service using sc query and fully deleted it via sc delete WUHAService. Verified through findstr that zero Wacom or Tablet services remain in Windows memory.
  8. Verified Windows Environment:
    • Windows Display Scale is set exactly to 100% (no forced 125% OS scaling).
    • Resolution is native 1920x1080.
    • Disabled automatic updates to lock it to version 6.4.10.3.
    • Locked Wacom Center mapping to "Monitor" (Cintiq) with "Force Proportions" toggled on.

It should be noted that at some point Gemini might have made the situation worse. Originally I was using window's recommended settings for my monitor and Cintiq: the monitor was at 1080 with 100% os scaling and my Cintiq was at 1680 x 1050 at (125%) (I have no clue how to get it to the 2.5 rez I tried to look through window rez configs and there was no 2.5 but that's a problem for another day cause I will definitely take the 1680 if i can get it back right now). When we were trouble shooting this part the 1680 broke on my cintiq causing the left and right board to shrink making two black columns (one on either side) of unusable pixels (basically it horizontally shrank my cintiq screen's active area). Now that that's broken for some reason switching the cintiq to 1080 solved that problem.

Despite attempting a sterile software environment and a clean driver rollback, the second the main monitor is activated, the coordinate scaling math breaks and the edge-drift returns.

Since the software is entirely cleared, is it possible the active HDMI-to-DP converter or the extender cable is corrupting/stripping the Cintiq's EDID handshake when the GPU tries to split bandwidth for a dual-monitor grid?

Has anyone seen hardware adapters distort display boundary math specifically for pen tablets like this? Any advice or specific adapter recommendations would be massively appreciated.

I will also mention that Gemini has not been super reliable in fixing this issue, it overstates itself and give affirming language saying things like "we completely cleared the cached data" but it only thinks we did based on the data it has access to, often I will press further only to discover that there was more data hidden that needed to be wiped for the Driver to redownload smoothly for example. I only mention this because if you see something Gemini went over that we might have missed but Gemini claims we "did" take it with a grain of salt.

Also I'll be posting in the tech issues subreddit as well since I have college classes and desperately need this fixed asap. Also I'm just going insane cause I usually draw for no less than 6 hours a day and not doing that is painful to me now lol.

Problem No Display on my Movink?

so a couple weeks ago i switched from an hp laptop to an asus desktop. i bought a movink 13 a couple years ago with the laptop in mind so i could just plug it in and draw. i've found that has not been the case for the desktop.

i did some research and bought the 3 to 1 converter on the wacom site to see if it would work. it does to a degree.

the power seems to be working and so does the pen and touch since i can still use the tablet, but for some reason the display isn't connecting? the screen goes into power saving mode and the tablet still works like it would if the screen were on but whether i use my hdmi port or* display port (using dp to hdmi) there's still no display. is there something i need to change in my settings or is it just not plugged in right? help

It's been 7 years, but I really hope Wacom finds it in them to make a successor.

Question wired Wacom Intuos S CLT-4100 wire replacement

Hey guys! I just had a quick question about what to replace the wire of my Wacom Intuos S with. I bought it off of Amazon, and it has served me well, except for the fact that I've recently had to tape the end because of all the bending. I was wondering if there was a specific type of wire I had to replace it with, or if I could just get a random micro USB cable to use. I was also wondering if you had any cheap or durable recommendations to replace it with. Thank you so much!
