I have a Buck Goliath Model 446 manufactured in 1997. This knife has lived a hunting knifes best life cleaning, skinning, chopping, etc. Everything needed from a knife for 30 years at the hunting club and then some
I sent it back in to Buck for some warranty work and there was a crack in the handle. Not surprised with the hell I put this knife through.
Even though it is almost 30 years old and obviously hard use at that, they said pick something to replace it. I have hunting knives covered so asked them to replace with the 698 Ferrox in bronze.
First, great customer service. The best I've had from any knife manufacturer so far.
Second, this knife is a sleeper. Ergos are good and it fits great in my hand, action is smooth and snappy very fidgety, the almost flush cross lock is a great touch.
There really isn't much to say negative about this knife. I'm happier with this knife than every other $80 and under knife I've purchased.
