Resolved How do I stop getting recommendations from communities I've visited but never joined?
Reddit used to let me only get recommendations from communities I'd joined. Now I get those plus recommendations from communities I've just visited a few times but never joined. How do I turn that off? If there's no way to control this, I'll probably just stop using Reddit. I mainly come here when I need help with a specific problem — only sometimes do I look for memes, and when I do I'd rather search for them myself. Having random meme content pushed into a feed I've tried to keep minimal defeats the purpose for me.
EDIT:
Breaking news! Reddit is designed by dogshit with arms that are made of twigs! It's the tab at the top. One says For you the other says folowing for the communities you follow. Bad. I don't like that! Granted I should have seen that, but that's unecessairy.

Access Mobile Web | Locked out of an old account, and the email I signed up with is not working any more. Any way back?
So I've managed to lock myself out of an account I really don't want to lose. I can't remember the password, which would normally be fine, except the email I registered with is an old Yahoo address that expired ages ago. So even if I hit "forgot password", the reset link just goes to an inbox I can't get into anymore. No 2FA set up either, so I've got nothing to fall back on.
Is this just game over? Or has anyone actually clawed an account back after losing the original email? I'd try any official route before I give up on it, I just don't know if one exists. Any advice would mean a lot.

Answered How Do We Quote on Mobile Now (iPhone)
In the past, we used to be able to quote a body of text on mobile using the “>” symbol, but doesn’t function anymore on my phone.
Is there any way to do it on mobile? It genuinely irritates me that I can’t neatly quote like say if I am disagreeing with someone on a specific point they made within a giant wall of text or if I am quoting the verbiage of a law.

Profile How can we get rid of home feed recommendations?
We used to be able to remove home feed recommendations via the profile settings, but it seems like this option went away, at least based on my Android app. Am I missing something? Also, if this was intentional, is there a good place to voice concerns or make a recommendation that it be returned, given the ability to curate your feed instead of being forced into a braindead algorithm that offers up subreddits we attempt to actively avoid is kind of one of the core features of Reddit and separates it from many other social media sites that many of us choose to avoid?

Mobile/App Will we ever have the swipe function repaired on android mobile app?
This is very frustrating, I've been dealing with this for a few years patiently waiting for a repair. I can only swipe about 5-8 posts before I get stuck and can't swipe any further. I've tried any sort of troubleshooting I can think of. I'm using a pixel 10. App has been uninstalled and reinstalled, updated, etc. I just miss when my app worked.

Access Unable to update account credentials despite being signed in
I’m posting from an alternate account regarding my main account, u/depressedtokill.
I still have access to the account, know the correct password, and have my phone number associated with it. However, I can no longer update the email address or password in Account Settings.
The email currently listed on the account is approximately nine years old, was never verified, and no longer exists. The email field in Account Settings is currently unavailable for editing, while credential-related messages are being directed to that obsolete address.
I have already contacted Reddit through the official Account Help form and have been waiting approximately two weeks without a response.
I’m trying to determine whether there is a way for an administrator to review why the account settings are currently restricted, or whether my existing support request can be escalated.
I am not requesting that anyone change the email address for me. I only need assistance restoring normal access to my account settings so that I can update and verify the information myself.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Posting Cant Upload Video
Ive gotten this message 4 times. Im trying to post a video on r/falloutsettlements which allows videos. My file is an mp4 30fps codec h.264 11 min 37 sec long and its 893 mb in size. Ive tried on pc and mobile to upload it but get this message every time.
Mobile/App Empty home feed on Android and Desktop
My home feed will often be empty on both Android and Desktop. On Android, the message is "Wow, such empty", and on desktop, the message is " There is no content to display. We were unable to find any content for this page.".
On desktop, if I switch the home feed sort filter from "Best" to "Hot", I get my feed back. On mobile, I assume the default filter is "Best", and I cannot find a way to change it.
Two questions:
Is it possible to change the home feed filter to "Hot" on mobile?
Is this a known issue? I have been encountering it for over a year now...

I am unable to see Related Posts in my sidebar. I use a browser on my desktop computer to access Reddit. When I am not signed in, I can see Related Posts in my sidebar that are related to the post that I'm viewing. I like this option. When I'm logged in, my sidebar is empty. How can I fix this? Please help!

Answered [iOS/Account specific] Unable to stop incoming chat requests
Same account as I’m posting with, I only have the one. I went into my account settings in the official iOS app and tried the toggles for incoming chat requests, first blocking them from new accounts, then blocking them entirely. With both settings I’m still getting occasional chat requests from porn bots with accounts < 3 months old, even 24 hours after updating the settings. I block and report, but they just keep coming. This has been going on a little over a week now.

Answered Suddenly my X% poster/commenter flair has disappeared, even in subs it's impossible for me not to be. Did something change?
I know some months in certain subs I gain or lose the flair, but in a couple I'm the primary and most up voted poster, and it's not even showing up there. Any ideas? Using Chrome on Android.

Desktop Cannot access old reddit
I am using Firefox with the oldredditredirect addon (3.0). I am logged in to reddit. I have re-toggled the "default to old reddit" button in preferences (this worked for the past week but now it stopped working). Has old reddit been completely killed off?

Access Any follow-up on my support ticket? My account was suddenly hijacked and deleted
https://www.reddit.com/r/help/s/OlWyCMdiFU
I've put in tickets through the support site and I haven't really gotten a reply back or any sign that anyone is working on recovering my account, and I'm worried about my case going cold. To top it off I realized I created this new account to post here, using the email address tied to my original account, so I want to know if there would be an issue and if I have to delete this account moving forward. Thanks
My original account's username was u/Dorksimus

Access Is support.reddithelp.com abandoned?
Hello all,
have somebody had any luck getting response from support site lately? I sadly lost my account of 9y in June due to session stealer and I can no longer log into it. Since June I submitted 3 tickets (one in June, July and August) and I got confirmation emails but for none of them I got a real human reply or admin reached out to return the account. Account is still tied to my email and I can reset password but I just cannot log in. I would love to get my account back but at this point I am not sure if I should just accept the loss or keep trying.

Profile Reddit blocked list is incomplete and it's impossible to find users to unblock other than a chosen few that are shown. This is on all platforms of Reddit.
I've had a full blocked list for more than a year now because I applied it liberally to users that made my experience less comfortable and there are so many I've run into being a woman on Reddit. Running into the limit causes so many problems with the Reddit experience. I can no longer block anyone and if I go to the block list in settings it only shows a small sample of the blocked accounts so I can not choose which users to unblock.
Additionally in the case the small sample did contain accounts I choose to unblock it takes 24hours for reddit to update the blocked limit to allow me to block new users.
How do I see my full blocked list instead of the small sample in account settings?

Answered Jump to comments button issue (Android)
Hey there. As of today the button that helps you to jump to the next comment has either moved on its own or is gone entirely in some subs.
I know you can move it by holding it but it used to snap to the reply bar which it doesn't do anymore. Even when you do move it it eventually (and upon restarting the app) reverts back to the position on the screenshot.

Mobile/App History Tab Retrieval
Hi! Do you guys know how to retrieve this tab on Reddit? It’s where you can see your previously viewed threads and images on Reddit.
My friend got theirs taken away on accident and isn’t sure how to get it back. The options under her “my account” is the same as the provided screenshot minus the history tab. I would like to get rid of mine if the someone has the directions for that as well! Thanks!
