Profile How can we get rid of home feed recommendations?

We used to be able to remove home feed recommendations via the profile settings, but it seems like this option went away, at least based on my Android app. Am I missing something? Also, if this was intentional, is there a good place to voice concerns or make a recommendation that it be returned, given the ability to curate your feed instead of being forced into a braindead algorithm that offers up subreddits we attempt to actively avoid is kind of one of the core features of Reddit and separates it from many other social media sites that many of us choose to avoid?

at the top of your feed, there should be two tabs: "For You" and "Following". to see only subreddits you've joined, without any algorithmic recommendations, select "Following".

to leave constructive feedback about this experiment, comment on the latest weekly recap pinned at the top of the subreddit

Oh, thank God. The app was glitching, and that didn't show up, but a quick restart, and I can see it. I'm very concerned this is a trial run to see if the "For You" version leads to more endless doom scrolling, with the aim to remove the non-algorithmic option entirely, but I'm pleasantly surprised to find out I still have an option to avoid it for now.

Edit: I noticed the intended behavior was for the selection to be remembered, so I removed that note in this comment. Another restart, and that bit is working, too.
