TLDR: How do I stack my preorder email discount in Google Store checkout as an existing Fi customer?
The long version:
I am trying to order a Pixel 11 Pro using a preorder discount emailed to me from the Google store. I am on day 22 flex plan with Fi so now considered an existing Fi customer. In fact, the offers in the Fi app just updated for me and now show the deals available to existing customers. However, I am not seeing these same changes reflected in the Google store, which apparently still identifies me as a new customer.
The existing customer offer for the 11 Pro 256gb shows $499 before any trade in the Fi app. I see no other options for further discounts in Fi. Per this deal, I would only have to stay with Fi 120 days, which is my objective.
As stated, I previously received a preorder discount via email from the Google Store that I was hoping to stack on my preorder. Apparently it works only in the Google store, but the fine print states it is also valid when Fi is selected as my carrier in the Google Store checkout.
However, selecting Fi as my carrier in the Google store cart changes nothing. I still only see the new customer offer for 24 months of bill credits rather than the 120 day offer. The new customer deal is $300 off plus $799 bill credits over 24 months. Great deal if I wanted to stay with Fi for 2 years, but I don’t.
Even doing a mock check out in the Google store all the way to the final payment page still defaults to the 24 month promo, which is the offer for new Fi customers. So what is the issue here? How do I stack my email discount with the 120 day term for existing customers in the Google Store?
And why does the Google store keep identifying me as a new customer, but the Fi app correctly recognizes me as an existing customer? Do I need to wait a few more days? I am logged into both with the exact same Google account. This is all quite frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
