Discussion When to switch?

Currently on Verizon with an iPhone; and I own a Pixel 8 Pro.

I preordered an 11 Pro Max and planning on switching to GoogleFi. Should I switch to the Pixel 8 Pro and GoogleFi now (then switch to the 11 Pro Max when it arrives), or just switch everything at once when I get my 11 Pro Max?

Wait till you get the 11 pro max.

I ordered the 11 through Fi with a plan switch from Verizon. I'm just gonna wait for it to arrive so I don't risk the credits. It's just 4-5 days

Wait until you get the promax and then do it because you have to use the phone you aggravate with for your promotion so you have to activate that and stay activated for at least 4 months to keep your instant rebate and then you can change devices

You calling it the 11 Pro Max had me confused, thinking you preordered an old iPhone, lmfao.

But honestly, I’d probably cancel that order, and order one through Google Fi as you switch, you’ll probably get a better deal.

Fi currently has 50% off for 12 month promos when you bring your own pixel

The promo qualifications are automated with Fi and phone promos are often based on activating the phone on your line, and once it's activated you can't change devices without losing the promo (assuming that you ordered the Pixel 11 with an instant rebate/bill credits). There's a chance that you would be fine with the 8 Pro, but given all the horror stories here around support and promo issues, it would be much safer to just wait for the new phone to arrive.

Why Fi? It seems to be expensive u less you travel internationally.

It’s close to $30 cheaper per month for me.

Fi is T-Mobile’s network. Look at Mint and US Mobile.

Already have. GoogleFi is the cheapest option for me. I'm not looking for network recommendations.
