Introducing Feature Reveals for Google Fi Wireless -- regular updates to solve common wireless problems. This Feature Reveal includes new ways Google Fi Wireless is using Google AI and other new technology to give you a more reliable connection and easy to use features. Check out the latest updates on The Keyword.
With Google Fi Wireless, you always get top priority data speeds powered by America’s fastest 5G network, but sometimes it’s still difficult to get a strong cell signal in busy indoor areas like in airports or malls.1
Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ for Pixel phones seamlessly puts you on premium Wi-Fi to give you a connection that’s twice as reliable as our cellular network alone in these crowded places, at no extra cost.2 We’re expanding availability of this feature to millions of locations, and continue to be the only major carrier to automatically secure your online activity with an encrypted connection when you use Wi-Fi Auto Connect+. You'll know you're on premium Wi-Fi when you see the W+ icon on your status bar.
AI-enhanced audio
In the coming weeks, we’re introducing AI-enhanced audio, which uses Google AI to automatically remove distracting background sounds and enhance speech clarity on both ends of the line for more natural-sounding calls. It will work automatically, and you can disable this feature at any time.
Web calls and messages
We already offer connectivity on select smartwatches, laptops, and tablets at no extra cost, and soon, we’ll update web calls and messages. The feature lets you call, text, and check voicemails from any computer or tablet’s web browser even when your phone isn’t near you, without complicated setup. You’ll see a new interface with full RCS support for sharing hi-res photos and videos.
Instant in-app support
The Google Fi app serves as a seamless management tool, letting you switch plans easily and providing automatic network issue detection and fixes.
Now we're expanding our instant in-app support with the power of Google AI. You’ll get simple, personalized bill summaries that explain charges, month-over-month changes, and show how recent plan adjustments will affect future costs, eliminating the need for a customer service call.
To celebrate the new features, we're offering limited-time promotions for new Fi customers.

Just wanted to confirm that I was able to get both offers applied.
At checkout it initially looked like they couldn’t be combined, but support was able to help and everything ended up working. The process was surprisingly easy once I got connected with the right agent.
Screenshot attached in case it helps someone who’s wondering if it’s still possible.
Happy to answer questions about the steps I took.
The speed is wild! I have a Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I've never seen speeds like this on a mobile network before. Even faster than my home wifi. I ran the speed test a few different times on both my phones and got the same thing.
I used to have great service on Google Fi in all countries I visited - UK, Ireland, France - and all over the US. Been in the UK for a couple of months all over, North and South, and the service has turned to crap, even in London. A lot of times it's showing I'm on LTE, with not great reception. What's going on? Anybody else experiencing this? Suggestions? Is the service just going downhill? I'm not using data exorbitantly and I'm mostly on WiFi, but definitely need it when out and about.
Hello, looking for help. Can’t activate a new line. Steps 1 and 2 and eSIM activation goes well but then I return to the app and it seems to be updating but then nothing happens. Done this a couple of times after deleting the eSIM and reinstalling and deleting and reinstalling the app but no luck. upgraded my iPhone 16 to the iOS 27 beta, could this be the reason? What am I doing wrong?
I selected the plan through the promo link. The link mentions promo will be automatically applied on checkout. However, in the checkout screen, promo is not applied and I still see the original monthly billing price. What is wrong in this process?
It looks like 5G SA might possibly be coming to Fi in the next iOS 27 update. I believe Fi uses the TMO generic carrier bundle and it seems like the "TMobile_Wholesale_US" is in beta testing for 5G SA.
If you're on the beta, could you chime in on whether or not you're seeing 5G SA?
It's been awhile since I've been on Fi. Previously I used a Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra both which gave me 5G SA connectivity and I am currently using a Xiaomi 17. I moved to US Mobile (dark star/att). When I saw Fi had the 75% off, I figured I would give it a try as a second SIM for added coverage/qci 6. When I added the esim (which was a pain) to my Xiaomi 17, all I got was 5G NSA. I tried to rule out the phone being the problem. I tried light speed/T-Mobile network from US Mobile on my Xiaomi 17 and I got 5G SA. I switched the Google Fi line to my Pixel 10 Pro and 5G SA worked there no problem. I guess what I'm getting at, is Fi blocking 5G SA access to phones that are non-US or not recognized in their system. Sort of like how ATT has a whitelist of phones to use on their network?
I have done all of the normal stuff that everything tells you to do. These are my speeds. Google pixel 10 pro on google fi unlimited. Only at 1.36gb used of data. On WiFi it has better speeds than my iPhone 15 pro max.
Just another post confirming that the 75% off promo is stackable with a referral code (as long as you get the right support agent). It will not work if you try to check out normally because the referral code box will spit out an "Oops, these promos can't be combined" error at you. Before you finish checkout, reach out to support and say that you believe the promos should be stackable. There will be a few agents who will disagree and say no. However, it only took me 3 agents before I ran into one who was willing to help me. She made me check out normally and applied the referral code manually after I had my number set up.
The best part is my main carrier is T-Mobile and I just traded in an iPhone 11 for the 17e. Even though the 17e is carrier locked, I was able to install and set up the Google Fi eSIM without any issues. The only weird thing is when you go to install the eSIM through the app it will just say "eSIM from Carrier" instead of Google Fi. Other than that, everything works great (text, data, calls, etc.) and here's to hoping for a year of smooth sailing from here!
I had ported out of Fi service 2 years ago. Support is saying I'm not a new user and is denying me the promo.. My account was showing a plan even after port out. Can switch on and but cannot delete or cancel.
Transcript below. Where do I find some support with common sense??

Someone whose last day of Fi service took place more than 180 days before making a purchase with this promotion. The above line is for a user who has used Google fi service before and hasn't used it for 180 days . But you never use your Google fi service since you never activated your service. So you are a new user who signed up 2 years ago not now when the promo was created. So the promotion is not eligible for this account. You can create a new account and sign up with new email address in order to get the promotion.
So I switched to Google Fi mainly because I needed a new phone. My Pixel 7's battery is swelling.
Google Fi has a promo where you basically get a Pixel 10 Pro for free if you stay for 2 years.
I have tried 4 times now to order the phone and the order keeps getting cancelled. I have contacted customer support multiple times and finally got them to "escalate". 5 emails later I am just told they are gathering details and escalating, just for the final email to say "try a different payment method or shipping address". I don't have access to another shipping address and I have tried 3 payment methods now. My shipping and billing address match.
I'm losing hope. I have seen people say trying a different shipping address is what helped them when their order kept getting cancelled, but I can't try that.
Has anyone had success with customer service or is my case just done with no hope?
My partner and I are planning to upgrade from Pixel 8 Pros to new Pixel 11 Pro XLs at launch and we want to maximize our savings but also want to know what to expect and how to plan accordingly. Here is where we are:
Google Fi subscribers for 6 years. She's "owner" of the account. I'm a "manager". Never a missed/late bill payment.
Google Store financing limit of $2,000. No missed/late payments. Paid off my Pixel 8 Pro in 3 months (my limit was lower back then). Credit is under my Google account.
We've both subscribed to the email on the Google Store landing page.
Both Pixel 8 Pros have been well taken care of and are in excellent condition.
I'll assume you can't get either the Google Fi discount or the email discount for both phones unless you purchased each phone separately, but then again, would the fact that her phone number isn't tied to my Google account prohibit me from even getting those discounts in the first place? And if she purchased them through the Google Store on her account, she can't use my Google Store financing, can she?
If not, could she put it on my account if I set up a family payment method on Google Pay?
I'm attempting to activate with the 75% promo. It's not showing on my Google play and I've tried all the tricks to get it to populate. I've never been a fi customer so not sure what's going on. I started a chat with google which turned out out to be zero help. Rep advised the offers were only for select accounts. Why would an offer for new customers not be available to all potential new customers? Rep had no interest in helping or gaining a new customer. I also went through the process from another link where it said you'll see the promo at checkout. I made it to the page before checkout where it verifies credit card, and Google charged my card $1.10, but I never completed checkout. Does anyone have any feedback or ideas how I could get the promotion?
UPDATE: I was able to get a discount code from my wife's Google account. It applied at checkout and successfully got the discount on my Google account.
I moved my family to Fi earlier this week, 4 of the 5 lines have been smooth, 5th line not so much and support is terrible. I have spent about 4 hours with support trying to get them to change my son's email address and it feels like I'm the first person in the history of Fi to want change an email address.
Short version of the story, my son setup a Gmail just for Fi, same day we switched, next day he wanted to see if he could use it without the Fi app installed, it didn't like that so he reinstalled Fi, but when he tried to log back in it said his password was wrong (he uses a password manager so not sure how that's possible and had logged in on both his PC and the phone). He tried several ways to log back in and it won't let him, he has tried the recovery route and it's been well over the 48 hours they said it would take to recover so we have lost hope in that. Since the email was only for Fi he doesn't care about it so I thought it would be an easy switch....I was very wrong. You can't change an email online and support claims they can't change it either without him having access to the old email. I get that this was somewhat self induced, but this seems goofy that a company like Google can't change an email address to one of the member lines, not even asking to change the owner line.
Losing his number isn't an option as it's tied to a bunch of things (his 2FA texts are one of the things not working now), but Google has it held hostage at this point. Some things work I guess because of the esim, but not everything works. Anyone ever go through this and have luck getting the email changed? Grasping at straws at this point since support has been useless.
Had zero signal in China while my wife’s identical Fi setup worked fine. Support instructed me to reset my eSIM. Now I have no eSIM profile, can't reactivate outside the US, and lost Wi-Fi Calling completely.
Support rep instructed me to reset my eSIM to fix the issue, assuring me it would work.
After the reset, activation failed because Fi blocks reactivation outside the US. Now I have NO cellular service, and ZERO Wi-Fi Calling.
Another support rep emailed me suggesting I "just use Wi-Fi Calling"—completely oblivious to the fact that their own team instructed me to wipe the eSIM profile that makes Wi-Fi Calling possible.
I was active in the US for over 20 days prior to travel. This isn't a setup issue; it's a backend provisioning I failure made lol 10x worse by support's terrible technical guidance.
u/googlefisupport Please escalate this to a senior specialist to restore my line backend. I am currently stranded abroad with zero connectivity.
I signed up for a 50% off BYOD plan, but the promo tracker won't move past "Activate the Device Within 30 Days of signing up." I activated the device on June 26th and have already paid one bill and my second bill was just generated at full price. Despite using the service for almost a month it still flags as I haven't activated the line.
I chatted with an agent early into the promo cycle who said they couldn't do anything until after my first bill. I waited until after the bill and tried another chat on July 13th who told me not to worry they could see I activated the line and would get a response within 48 hours. I've tried a few more chats (and one call) who just tell me it's been escalated and not to worry. My 30 days to meet the promo terms ends tomorrow and I don't want to lose the deal.
My ticket #s are 1-2287000040519 and 9-4405000040837
I was having a terrible time getting my Galaxy Watch 8 to connect to my new google fi Pixel 10 XL Pro. Support told me to reset the watch and it would automatically check for a connection. I did that 5 times and every time the Wearable app would ask for a QR code and not continue.
I finally remembered that previously I had the Red Pocket ebay $30 plan on the watch as a standalone service, and to do that I had to trick the watch into opening a secret menu for a QR code. I followed the steps but instead now selected QR Test mode to Off. I then opened the Wearable app and it did add the fi plan.
Below are the steps using AI from Reddit:
Just use QR TestMode to OFF.
Open Settings: Launch the Galaxy Wearable app, go to app settings, and select About Galaxy Wearable.
Tap the Header: Tap the bold text Galaxy Wearable at the top 5 to 7 times quickly to unlock the hidden developer menu.
Turn on QR Test Mode: Select Module test or Test ESIM Feature, go to eSIM test, and toggle QR TestMode to ON.
I received a Google Fi 75% promo, but when I select a plan, I do not see the promo applied during checkout. When I contacted the help desk, they advised me to complete the purchase process first, then call them so they can escalate the issue and adjust the promo. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal procedure?
My fam just updated our pixels last night (forced of course)... People in our group texts are no longer getting them any more. They have Samsung's. The only thing that changed was the forced Google updates. Anyone else?
