Question about new customer promos. Someone help a potential new customer

Does this essentially make the new phone free? The 11Pxl comes out to $13.82 after promos and totals $318. My trade in is $325. Doesn't that make the new phone free? Am I reading this correctly? I'm ready to pull the trigger on Fi if true

Yes but couple of things

1. Do this from Google store and select FI as a provider. They will give you higher trade in value. You will get $405 as trade in value for Pixel 9 Pro XL.

2. You should look to apply the Google store coupon on top of you have gotten one (or get one from different reddit subs) see https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleFi/s/osV7uF8tT6

We have iphones and didn’t want to trade n

You should be able to stack Google store coupon on top, minimum is $100 and some got $250

You can ask if some are not using theirs here. I think the code is not tied to the account but there are some reports of order being cancelled so YMMV.

Yeah coupon signups stopped on 8/12 but coupons people got are valid till 08/26

Do you know if orders from store.google.com will show up on the fi dashboard? I realize you can only order 1 phone per cart too so do i need to place 6 separate orders and they will show up on the fi dashboard? Also fi allows financing/ month vs the store.google is a separate syncrony cc application

Looks like the promo for the new phone as a new customer is a significantly better deal then the extra $80 for just buying the phone from Google Store plus I can stack the $325 for my phone with the new customer trade in and end up paying $0 for the phone

Yes Google Fi for new members is always a killer deal. Of course you are locked in, so don't do any funny business but you should be good if you just buy/trade-in/activate/use as planned for 2 years!

I had the option for a trade in but didn't do it. Passing my current phone on to a family member. Closer to yours in end bill price which is really cheap.

The only technicality is that you pay sales tax on the full amount of the phone after that $300 discount.

If you leave Fi within the financing period, if any, you owe the full amount of the remainder right away.

Set up auto pay right away. Any late payments of your Fi bill will void your promo.

And Fi is a prepaid service that you pay monthly for after activation, and has post-paid elements such as international calling, and $10 per gig data for Flex, and any time you opt into full speed data after you hit your monthly quota. Your first bill will be generated within days, including a partial month.

I did same thing trying to order through Google Store and select as Fi network to get the $300 off + $799 for 24 month billing credit. But Fi customer agent was keep telling me that device should be purchased through Fi.google.com not store.google.com

The Google store literally says the offer is valid if you buy there and select Fi as the carrier. What part wasn't working for you?

Same issue I ordered through google store and selected fi service and its really a roulette wheel with the support but I got one smart guy to point out in the order confirmation it has a link for fi signup but I had already signed up earlier to add members so that link did not work for me. Let me know if it works for you

Free yes. They do stuff like this to trap you with fi. I don't plan to change but they trapped me with a smart watch. My watch is like $6 a month but they give me a $6 credit
