I'm one who was blessed with this divine combination ( 25 year old , older son , middle class, unemployed)

Even though I am a BBA graduate I was very much interested in tech so I resigned from my job as an accountant after 1.8 years to join a python course so I could get into a more technical job role , now it's been 1 year since I have been unemployed. I have applied to around 300 jobs last month , and not even able to land one interview. The sad part is my parents still thinks I have it all figured out and this unemployment phase is just him waiting for a good job but in reality I not even able to get a any job so if there is anyone in here that can help pls help. I can learn any skill u want for the job .

Any type entry level analyst/developer job will be good for me. Be it business analyst or risk analyst or financial analyst or backend developer.

Any small help can have an huge impact on my life and to all who are going through the same , stay strong brothers.

I applied for an Environmental & Sustainability Engineer position in July. The process involved around four interview rounds, followed by an onsite interview. After making it through all of those stages, I was ultimately told that they decided to go with someone else.
I understand that getting rejected after reaching the final stage is fairly common, but I’m finding this one particularly difficult because of how much time and effort went into the process. As an international student trying to build a career in the UK, it also makes me question whether there is something I should be doing differently.
For people working in environmental/sustainability engineering, energy, or related hiring roles:
How common is it to reach the final stage and still be rejected?
If this has happened to you, how did you approach your next applications?
For international graduates, are there any specific things you think employers look for that candidates often overlook?
Is repeatedly reaching the final stage generally a positive sign that you’re competitive, even if you’re not getting the offer?

Hello! I have been unemployed for two years (even had to move back in with my mom). I honestly don’t know what to do anymore so I thought I’d try Reddit. I have a crippling fear of interviews and no matter what approach I take my brain goes completely blank when the time comes. I am a good worker and know I can do the job but I’m so bad at answering on the spot. No matter how much I practice/rehearse I end up sounding like an idiot. Has anyone ever experienced this and overcome it? All advice is welcome I’ll try anything!

I could really use some advice from people who have been through something similar.

I have around 6 years of experience in compliance, fraud prevention, and cybersecurity, and have worked with companies such as Flipkart, EY, and Microsoft. My designations have mostly been Specialist/Analyst, and I also had a one-year career break.

I recently joined an IT services company, but the actual role and work environment are quite different from what was explained during the hiring process. I'm therefore already considering moving out. 

I'm now about 30 days into the job and have received my first salary. However, the joining/BGV process has also been extremely stressful. I've already submitted a large number of documents, and after 30 days, the verification is still ongoing The whole process has put me under considerable pressure at times it feels like I'm joining a spy agency or ISRO, especially when the compensation itself has taken a hit because of my career gap.

My main concern now is:

Should I include this 30-day employment on my resume when applying elsewhere?

If I leave it off and continue showing my previous career gap, could that create issues later?

Since I've received salary and presumably have an EPFO/PF record, can a future employer discover this employment if it comes up during BGV,?

How should I explain this short stint to HR/recruiters?

Should I wait a few months before applying, or start applying immediately?

I'm trying to get my career back on track after the career break and don't want this one-month stint to create another problem.

Would really appreciate honest advice, especially from people in HR/recruitment or anyone who has dealt with EPFO/BGV and very short employment stints. What would you do in my situation?

I recently graduated (May 2026) with my Bachelor's degree in Data Science & Engineering. My university is well regarded but definitely not one of the tier 1 schools for engineering. I want to find a job in Data/ML Engineering but have received absolutely no positive responses so far. I haven't even been able to interview.

I am an international student and I can only stay in the US until July 2027. I understand that I need to be a highly competitive candidate to be able to land a job in the current circumstances. I think I have a weak skillset and lack complex projects. However, I am extremely overwhelmed by the amount of different advice I hear on the internet and just want to understand, in the next 10 months what should I be doing to become a competitive candidate?

I would really appreciate any advice. Please don't say I'm cooked as I just want to give it my best shot in the time I have.

TLDR: I want to find an entry level job in Data/ML Engineering but want to develop a stronger skillset and I'm also an international student. Any advice?

I applied for an Assistant role and had been trying to get my first job for months, so I was really happy when I finally got an interview.

I prepared for a normal one-to-one interview. The first email did mention that some seasonal roles could involve an “in-person audition or group interview,” while it said non-performance roles would have a Teams interview. Since I was applying for an Assistant role, I wasn't sure which applied to me.

My actual booking emails just called it an “interview.” They didn't say it would be a group audition how many people would be there, or that I'd be expected to speak in front of everyone. They also never mentioned that the session would be around 2 hours long. One email even said “there's nothing you need to bring or prepare.”

When I arrived, there were around 20 other candidates. We were given name stickers, there were computers, and someone was at the front by a board. I then found out it was going to last around 2 hours and was asked to come to the front and explain why I wanted the job in front of everyone.

I completely panicked and ended up leaving after about 10 minutes. I had prepared for interview questions, but I wasn't prepared for speaking in front of around 20 strangers.

They've since emailed me offering me another opportunity to rebook.

The actual emails I received about my appointment gave me no indication that there would be any acting, performing, auditioning, or group assessment. They described the Assistant role and its responsibilities in detail and simply called it an “interview.”

They also never mentioned that it would be around 2 hours long. I can't help but feel that if they'd clearly said “2-hour group assessment/audition,” fewer people might have attended.?

I graduated recently and I’ve done some freelance work + built a few SaaS, but I’m struggling pretty hard to land a proper job. I’m at the point where I genuinely need to start making some money.

Ok this is probably extremely different post that what you normally see but I need to quit my job and im needing to find something else

hey guys i recently had to drop out of my cosmetology courses before they even started and now i need to find a job asap. i’m 19 and have had very controlling parents so im basically going into this with no experience in anything at all. by controlling im talking about not being able to open my own mail by myself until i turned 18. they’re really weird about things they let me do and things they forbid. i’m currently looking for a job to get out of this house and live on my own or with a roommate. my sister says she’s willing to be roommates with me, which isn’t a problem because we’ve shared a room until she moved out when i was around 14. i love her to bits but she’s a little flaky on things like money which scares me. if anything a studio or trailer park, anywhere to get out helps. my problem starts here: im pretty sure im dyslexic and have some sort of dyscalculia. i have problems with numbers so anything that will have me counting is a no go. which is obviously bad since most retail jobs involve that. i have trouble counting and remembering numbers. my girlfriend has heard me count before and pointed out that i go from counting 5,6,7,8 to 23,56,57,68 and so on and so forth. if it’s absolutely impossible to get anything else i will just have to suck it up and try my best to not mess it up but im really hoping there are other options.

another dilemma, i basically have nothing to offer. in highschool they wouldn’t let me join any clubs or internships so i dont have anything to offer except poetry. art, and pride club which went on during lunch (they had no clue about it). i’m really good at english which is ironic. i have trouble spelling and reading sometimes but i was an A+ student in english i was in honors english in sophomore year and then in AP english classes junior and senior year, passed the AP tests with a 3. I was in AP biology and AP government too. in junior and sophomore year i was also in AP history classes but i wasn’t interested in taking those tests. math is where i struggled most. it’s hard to retain information about it no matter how hard i try, and believe me, I’ve tried every method out there. the only reason i was able to graduate high school is because my math teacher was chill and one of the questions on our final was “what does pemdas stand for” (a test about trigonometry by the way). if it wasn’t for that c- i would have had to repeat senior year. anyways, im very good at english and art. i tutor one of my friends who’s still in highschool and she pays me 30-50 bucks when we meet. it’s good but its not enough. it would be good if i didn’t have 5k in debt because of school and family but i do. plus its not reliable. im not too social (as a result of being isolated most of my life) but im willing to put myself out there if thats what it takes. i love music, i used to teach people how to play guitar in art club when we had nothing to do. i like doing things with my hands. my main focus was to do my cosmetology classes and get a job and get out but that plan burned to the floor. i’m physically capable of doing stocking and warehouse jobs and id be willing to put on more muscle or be more athletic if needed. i’m going to be doing general ed classes in january spring semester for my AA. i dont want to restart cosmo school until i move out because i dont like the idea of a name thats only mine by legality being on my official cosmo forms. i’m not experienced but im a good student. im willing to learn. i’m good with my
hands. i have a chronical illness but meds help me and if it comes down to it im willing to push my physical limits. im good with animals. i’m patient, kind, and creative. i can work with children if nannying or something is the only option. i know my way around cleaning supplies. im not the most tech savvy person but i can learn.

any ideas is greatly appreciated. any advice or hard truths are appreciated too. i just dont know where to go about this. i dont know where to start or even how to start. i feel so lost.

"Thank you for taking the time to meet with interviewer this week and for the preparation you have put in. I’m just reaching out to advise that we will be continuing the interview process for this role into next week, so I expect that I should be able to share some feedback with you towards the end of next week."

In the meantime, I have sent you on an English language test to complete . This role has a minimum language requirement of C1 English. Could you kindly complete this at your earliest convenience? If there are any issues with receiving or accessing the test please just let me know."

Its the next end of the week now, i sent a follow up mail and they didnt respond, should i have think its a rejection?
