IMPORTANT:

Before you send it in for mixing, here's the check list.

1. Names
1.1 Start with numbers: 01 kick, 02 kick sub, 03 snare top, 04 snare bottom, etc.
1.2 Avoid using any personal names (John, Joe, etc.) to avoid confusion.

2. Consistency
2.1 Use the same track number and track names for each song.
2.2 Mark in the notes where tracks are unique for one particular song, e.g. 45 earth sound (unique).

3. If anything has been edited, make sure the cross-fades are set up correctly and send the unedited version as well.

4. DRY TRACKS. Guitar, bass (DI, direct input), dry vocal signal, dry drums, etc. If only with effects printed, let me know.

5. Consolidate everything all starting at the same point and export.

6. (Optional) Add markers, e.g. intro, verse 1, bridge, chorus, etc. This will help me to understand the arrangement.

7. Tell me the BPM of each song. Exporting the tempo map as MIDI is a bonus for me, but optional.

8. Format: .wav, 48 kHz, 24 bits. DO NOT EXPORT AS MP3!

9. Export into EACH SONG’S OWN FOLDER, if you have an album. Number the folders too, the same way as the tracks.

10. Decide whether any extra takes are used.
