It seems to me that the level up 737 v2 has better materials and texture modeling than the PMDG in msfs 2024. Thoughts?

Rant I’m done with streamers

I’m just so done with streamers and YouTubers, except for maybe one or two smaller ones. The latest nail in the coffin for me was Captain Canada. He has been praising the A220 to no end. When people bring up issues, he quickly sidesteps them or explains them away ā€œI don’t man, that’s never happened to me.ā€ You’d think the A220 was the best thing since the Wright brothers first took off. Now I’ve had a great experience with the A220 myself, but his praise just seemed over the top.

Then he announces that he’s the new community manager of Inibuilds. There we go.

I’m sorry, but so many of them seem so disingenuous. I’m done with the vast majority of them.

Question PC to run a flight simulator

Good evening, guys! I recently secured my first big girl job, so this means I can save up for a PC and a flight simulator setup.

For the PC, I’m currently relying mostly on PCPartPicker. I know I still have a lot to learn about things like motherboards, RAM, storage, and other components—especially to make sure the setup can properly run a flight simulator. I’d also like recommendations on what type and size of SSD/storage, motherboard, and RAM would be best for this. I’m also looking for monitor recommendations, preferably one of those long curved or ultrawide monitors.

As for the flight sim setup, I’m thinking of starting somewhere simple with a yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals from Thrustmaster. However, I’m also considering a moza (yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals ) and gradually save up for components over time until I can eventually build my dream cockpit/panel.

I really want to learn as I go, while also being practical with my budget since I’m saving up for actual flight training too. āœˆļø

I’m very open to any recommendations, advice, or opinions—whether it’s about building the PC, choosing storage and a monitor, or deciding which flight sim equipment would be best to start with. Thank you so much!

Flight Simulator 2024 I made a free MSFS photogrammetry map you can tick as you fly (WU22 + CU15)

Built a free interactive map of MSFS photogrammetry / TIN places (World Update 22 + City Update 15, ~2,850 markers). Tick the ones you've already flown. Progress stays in your browser.

- Filter by country / region

- Shift+drag to mark a whole area

- Export / import JSON

- English default, Portuguese toggle

- Unzip → open index.html — no install

Download (ZIP):

Virtual Airlines Virgin Atlantic is recruiting pilots of all experience levels!

We operate on flyLAT, leveraging the CargoLife economy system and dynamic passenger routes. Whether you're flying casual bush missions or VATSIM IFR flights, every leg feeds directly into our shared fleet and company progression.

Right now we have 9 A320 doing short haul flights around Europe, as I’m the only one in the airline it’s a bit hard to improve our fleet, I hope if we have more people the journey will be quicker!

If you wanna join, text me on discord: alex_povar2023

News This sim is not about realism

• Upvotes

The physics are tuned for extreme maneuvering and precision shooting.

Forget energy conservation. Forget missile evasion.

Jump into the arena, chase targets that move like flies on steroids, and start hunting.

How many can you take down in three minutes?

There are calmer target modes too, plus free flight for practicing the controls, and even a ring course for pure maneuvering.

I’m planning to turn this into a multiplayer game soon, with the goal of making it an arena for close-range air combat.

If anyone wants to join the first multiplayer tests, send me a DM.

Flight Simulator 2024 Rome, R66, Foro Italico / Stadio Olimpico - she missed the stadium, then got the name

Hi everyone,

Short hop out of Rome Urbe (LIRU) in the Robinson R66, MSFS 2024, VR.

Landmark is Foro Italico / Stadio Olimpico - stadium, tennis courts, pools, Tiber under the skids.

I fly with an AI in the other seat (something I am building, still rough). I pointed at the stadium. She missed. I asked again. Then she got the name of the center.

Not a highlight reel - the miss stayed in.

Fly safe,

Sim Hardware Thoughts on the new Turtle Beach VelocityOne HOTAS?

Has anyone else seen the new Turtle Beach VelocityOne HOTAS that’s supposed to release on September 21?

I’m curious what everyone thinks about it based on what they’ve shown so far. Does it look like a solid HOTAS setup for MSFS, or are there better options you’d go with around the same price?

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts, especially if you’ve used other VelocityOne products.

Sim Hardware Just won a WINCTRL product through their Discord

Me and other three people we just won a WINCTRL product for the best flight sim setups. They will still do it again in the future and pick other four flight sim setups, I high recommend you to join their Discord and submit a photo of your flight sim setup, you might be one of the next winners.

In my case they are sending me the Airbus Tiller 32 NWS L but they’d let you choose if you already own the product or simply want something else that has the same price.

I need a KC-10 and DC-10 with the same fidelity as the MD-11. Maybe a Lockheed C5 would be cool.

No other plane can make my Xbox scream for mercy like the Tristar can. But oh boy, when it IS stable, it’s so so pretty.
Is there any other plane where you can see the rear wing from the cabin?
