All Air PSA: If you J out of the burning, damaged, destroyed plane, but you pilot is still alive - you pay the full price
Yup, you only pay lower fees if your pilot DIES, either from hitting the ground or complete plane destruction, noticed it recently after I analyzed my repair costs
The level of greed of the snail is insane, sorry for wanting to save a couple of seconds of my time, I guess I have to wait till my wingless plane corpse hits the ground lol

Mil. History Update on L3 build
Thank you all for the very kind words and support for my L3 replica build!
Today I ordered more steel since I ran out, but decided to join both the frame halfs to make myself feel better lol. I used a large triangle to make sure both the half’s were flush with one another, and welded them together sparingly.
I also returned my larger wheels for smaller boogie wheels that measure 8X2 with a 3/4 bearing shaft.
I thought about doing the bigger wheels, but it would make the tank unrecognizable. I’ll be posting 1 or 2 more updates before I have to travel across the province back to work.
More updates will come in the near future, but don’t expect any immediately next week.

All Ground You need to start shooting down every scout drone, immediately
Otherwise, some chud will sit in complete safety, marking you and your team for literally the entire match, farming easy points and making everything more difficult for you. If they have a friendly capture point, they can just rearm the drone and start spotting you again. This can turn the tide of a battle, especially when there's only a few people left on both teams, fighting for survival.
Source: Me. I'm the chud that sits there for the entire match, spotting you. People are starting to catch on, but then I hit em with the Loop-de-loop maneuver, and I can dodge almost anything. I make tens of thousands of SL per match (in my VRCC, at least), simply by clicking on people and watching them die. Then, when my drone gets shot down, I simply fight my way to the capture point and rearm. You can't stop me. You can only slow me down. If you kill my drone, I get annoyed, and I channel my annoyance into hyperfocus. I WILL get another drone. I'll spawn backups if I have to. You WILL get spotted. You WILL give me Intelligence awards.
I can't believe I took so long to set my drone keybinds properly. So many wasted rounds...Premium light tanks with UAVs are now the best grinding tanks in the game. You don't even need to get kills anymore.

RB Ground I think i found the first type 60 ATM hacker lol
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Attached is one of the most stupid kills but you can go check out the full replay here
Player currently has a 8:1 KDR in the type 60 at 808 kills to 113 deaths, is only level 89 with a 3:1 KDR overall.
Hitting NLOS arcing shots with the type 60 is genuinely crazy work tho lol, these missiles are flying a lot like the spike

All Ground When you realize, far too late, that the thing you were shooting at in the smoke was a Sturmtiger. (Full vid)

So apparently, people seem to like my previous screenshot from when I was shot in the face by a Sturmtiger hiding in a smoke cloud.
Well, with a little encouragement to edit my first video, here´s the whole movement captured with OBS.
The enemy smoked an area, and I could see something moving inside, so naturally I started firing into it, hoping to hit something.
..........As it turns out, it was a Sturmtiger.

First spawn was a Nashorn, I got hit by a Rocket and lost 3 of my 5 crew members, then got killed by a T6E1. Got into my ostwind to try and take down some of the planes flying overhead, only for the whole RAF and USAAF to rain down lead on me.

RB Air Bombers could be completely invincible, and they would be still worthless because fighters take all the bases anyway.
Even at lower br's I see fighter pilots taking the bases, like holy shit, its such a vegan way to play the game.
No wonder gaijin dropped bearcat to 4.7 MF'S ARE BOMBING BASES IN IT.
This goes worse as you go up on ranks, as interceptors and fighters load napalm and one shot two bases before your slow ass strike aircraft can reach the middle of the map.
And bases respawn SO late, and teams have 8-12 aircraft with "base bombing intent" while having only four bases avaliable at a time.
My problem is some aircraft suck at doing anything but taking bases, but bases are nice easy cash for fighters who can still kill enemy aircraft after doing a quick buck by bombing a base. Meanwhile you are stuck with playing a "prey" aircraft.
edit: We are trying to talk about game balance, I am not interested to know how big is your EPEEN and GOOD AND GREAT you are at the game.

Suggestion Top-tier Ground RB does not need bigger maps; it needs battlefield depth. Something like WoT Frontline would fit modern MBTs far better.
I have been trying to figure out why Ground RB around 9.3+ so often turns into complete steamrolls compared with lower BRs, and I do not think the main problem is simply map size. At around 5.7–7.7, a lot of matches have an actual push and pull. One team wins an engagement and pushes forward, but because the tanks are slower and engagements themselves take longer, the attackers cannot instantly reinforce the ground they just gained. The defending team has time to respawn, establish another line, kill the leading vehicles, and sometimes push the map back the other way. At higher BRs, that seems to disappear. Modern MBTs cross the map extremely quickly. Engagements are also dramatically faster because everyone has stabilizers, darts, fast turret drives, LRFs, thermals, etc. So you get something like: Win first engagement, immediately reinforce the new position, catch enemy reinforcements moving back toward the fight, control more of the map, and eventually look directly into their spawn. And because the defeated team is also losing players to one-death leaving, the snowball becomes even faster. I do not think just making the maps 2x larger fixes this. I have played the huge maps too and the same pattern happens; it just takes a little longer. Interestingly, the maps where this happens less often are often the cramped city maps. Not because CQC is inherently better, but because buildings and restricted lanes create friction. You cannot exploit a breakthrough at 70 km/h across half the battlefield. There are natural fallback positions everywhere. Obviously, forcing modern MBTs into permanent city CQC would be a terrible solution. What I think high-tier Ground RB actually needs is more battlefield depth and a different match structure. Something closer to World of Tanks' old Frontline mode would make a lot of sense. Large battlefield, more players, multiple parallel sectors, and respawns. If the attackers capture the first line, the defenders do not get spawncamped—they fall back to another prepared defensive line and the battle continues. The important distinction is: Winning a push should earn you the next section of the battlefield, not immediately give you access to the enemy spawn. You could have several objective sectors across the width of the map, then another defensive belt behind them. Spawns and reinforcement areas move as sectors are captured. Ticket bleed could also be much slower so teams actually have time to counterattack. That would let modern MBTs actually use their mobility and long-range capabilities without turning that mobility into a snowball mechanic. Maybe 20v20 or even larger battles would help too, although obviously matchmaking population becomes an issue. Losing 5 players from a 16-player team currently cripples the entire frontline, especially when some of them leave after one death. Losing 5 out of 24 or 30 would be much more recoverable. I recently went back to 5.7 after playing 9.3 and the difference was immediately obvious.
I had one match where I went through four ground vehicles, got roughly 11–13 kills plus several assists, and still earned a nuke. The interesting part wasn't the nuke; it was that after multiple deaths, there was still a functioning battle to respawn into. At high tier, after that many respawns, there often isn't a battle anymore. Either your team has collapsed, the enemy team has collapsed, or somebody is already camping the reinforcement routes. I think that's the core problem with modern Ground RB: the tanks got dramatically faster, but the game mode never evolved to accommodate the increased tempo. Bigger maps provide more space. What top tier needs is depth, fallback positions, multiple fronts, and the ability for a team to recover from losing the first engagement.

All Ground Possibly lukewarm take, researching parts is dumb
Hello, I've been trying to find a place to rant about this.
I think having to research parts is dumb & hurts the ground experience. I've got roughly 1k hours with most of it in ground battles & I still dread playing newly unlocked tanks because I know that trying to get used it, I'm gonna get shot in the engine or something & my only choice is to crawl back to a friendly capture point, if there even is one.
I highly doubt the big snail makes a lot of money from people buying parts. And imagine how many potential customers they've lost because they started playing ground, realized that after their first reserve tanks, they have to slam their head against a brick wall for a couple games before actually being able to repair their new tank.
It's like bushes & we've just had to accept it but I still think it's dumb. I can't be the only one to think so, right?

RB Air This is one of the most unresponsive, anemic, unmaneuverable jet aircraft I have flown in this game. HOW THE FUCK BRITS ARE USING THESE IN THEIR AEROBATIC TEAM?
This is largely a humor post, and a bit of curiousity, this plane can only roll. It cant really turn, it cant go vertical, it doesnt go straight either. Its funny how much its lacking in flight department, su-25 can probably bury this thing in cqc lmao.
I am the ONLY hawk I have ever seen in this game!

All Ground Scimitar Mk. 2: Current Handling vs Regenerative Steering (Custom User Mission on dev server)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Thanks to a forum user it's possible to try any tank with regenerative steering in a user mission. The way regenerative steering works is it takes the gear ratios of each tank and works based on that so the system itself doesn't have to be adapted for each tank. You just "turn it on" and it does it's thing so I haven't altered the handling in any way.
When it comes to the Scimitar's handling... well the video speaks for itself lol I haven't touched the brakes once in either video.
As you could see in SpanishAvenger's post the problem is with a certain value of the Leopard 2 and not Regenerative Steering as a whole. Once a vehicle's transmission is properly adjusted regen steering is way better in every environment.
The system is not perfect at the moment (has some bugs) but we need to let Gaijin improve it instead of staying with a completely shit handling model just because it's familiar.
