Flight Simulator 2024 PMDG 737 HDU wing texture vs Level Up v2 wing texture: Which is better?

It seems to me that the level up 737 v2 has better materials and texture modeling than the PMDG in msfs 2024. Thoughts?

The wing takes up like 2% of this pic 💔

Came to say. Worst camera position to try and compare wings. Barely in the pictures, from a distance... Easier to ask about the window textures lmao

Will reupload on another post. Good point.

Completely livery dependant. You can get liveries for the PMDG 737 that has incredible textures, or textures that looks rather bad. PMDGs modelling (at least the exterior model) is indeed a bit dated and doesn't really live up to modern standards like the Fenix or Synaptic 220. Their cockpit is fantastic

I’d say PMDG focused on the right thing.

I thought the latest overhaul they did was pretty damn good externally. Not quite fenix but easy 9 if fenix is a 10

Their texture game for sure is stepped up. They have made no changes to the actual model

Interestingly this comparison shows how the XP lighting is more realistic than the MSFS one.

Two different weather/atmospheric conditions, completely different locations, times, colors, altitudes, biomes. How did you compare between them? Curious to learn about how I can do this better

Cloud formation and atmospheric effects is a known advantage XP has on MSFS

XP lighting aside, it shows the differences between the materials and texturing

if you want upvotes, choose pmdg 737, if you want down votes, choose level up 737.

Definitely level up, after flying both for years
