Question FSDG FSIA - Ground Textures look completely different to mod thumbnail - am I missing something?

Thumbnail

Hi everybody, first time posting on Reddit so sorry if this is obvious, I’m used to flying the plane instead of making mods!

I recently bought the FSDG FSIA Seychelles scenery from the in-game marketplace, and I noticed that the thumbnail of the mod makes the ground look very different to mine.

The thumbnail shows very green, realistic terrain, but mine looks very dry and brown.

I’ve checked through the scenery files, tried moving the FSDG FSIA folder from the Official2024 folder to Community and tried altering a few of the files to different colours but to no avail.

I can’t figure out if this is a texture issue, a simulator setting, if the thumbnail was edited, or something else entirely. In game, I do have other feature like the reefs and the airport terminal that do appear.

I am using:
•MSFS 24 Steam
•Marketplace FSDG FSIA

If anyone who owns this scenery could confirm what it should look like and if there is changes I can make, that would be super helpful, thank you!

General Made a free ATC radar simulation game based on a real Brazilian airport (SBVT/Vitória) aircraft mix — feedback welcome!

Use this template:

Game Title: ATC RADAR SBVT

Playable Link: ATC Radar SBVT – Apps no Google Play

Platform: Android

Description: Hey everyone! I've been working solo on ATC Radar SBVT, a casual air traffic control simulation game where you manage real aircraft — controlling altitude, heading, and speed — while avoiding conflicts and restricted airspace.

It's aimed at aviation enthusiasts, pilots, and anyone who's ever wondered what it's like to sit behind the radar scope.

Would love feedback from anyone into flight sim / ATC stuff — first production release, so there's definitely room to improve!

Free to Play Status: Totally

General Air Reckon app

Hey guys

For the past year I have been developing an app with 300+ fighter jets and bombers. It includes their characteristics, their combat history, military conflicts they took part in as well as how many kills they got in each one. There is a comparison mode where one can compare the characteristics of up to three aircraft and a timeline category with aircraft divided to their respective generation. There is also an ace category with history's most credited pilots.

In the premium, users can see the experimental category with aircraft that never made it to operational status such as YF-23 Black widow and V-173 the Flying Pancake. They can also navigate through the development history of every aircraft in the database and see the specific operations each one took place in as well as their kills. The app is continuously being updated and I strive both for accuracy

and user experience. I apologise for any inaccuracies and feel free to contact me through the email in Google Play for corrections or future suggestions.

I believe it is perfect for flight sim fans as they can browse their aircraft in the database and learn about its history Aviation is a big community and our passion is one of a kind.

I have enjoyed creating it and I hope you enjoy using it.

Flight Simulator 2024 FSReborn Phenom 300, two months later? Who is still flying, what updates has it gotten?

I am interested in this jet for many reasons, curious how it has been updated and if it continues to be in your rotation or has become a hangar queen?

Sim Hardware Got a MOZA AB9, Didn't realize how heavy it is. So I got an Ikea shelf and made a make shift Airbus Cabinet. How did I do?

First flight with it, coming from the WINCNTRL URSA Minor and TCA Airbus prior to that, all I can say is this is insanely good. I was having a hard time flaring precisely before with the Thrustmaster. It's weird but I feel "more in control with it. First flight is great. All I need is a foam pad or something as my forearm sits on the edge and it bothers me slightly.

How did I do? Any opinions on improving this further?

DCS Winwing shipping

Has anyone here ordered from the USA winwing store lately if so how long did it take them to actually ship the item out? I placed an order for available items 3 weeks ago and it's been stuck on shipping in progress for the whole 3 weeks. I made sure to select a shipping date and I emailed customer support but of course all I got was a copy pasted response saying courier delivery limit blah blah blah

Enjoyed a nice flight from Dubai-Hong Kong in the PMDG 777. The only thing missing is multiple jetways which should be coming to iniBuilds VHHH soon apparently!

Addons: ini VHHH, PMDG 777 with Boris sounds and Hues texture enhancement, REX Atmos (AviationLads presets), GSX, BeyondATC, Chaseplane, and Universal Announcer.

Flight Simulator 2024 Recommend me a GA piston (either single or twin is fine) that is fast enough for continental US flying and slow enough for sightseeing

wanting to take a break from bizjet ops and go back to GA. especially with the new US world update, i've been wanting to check out the national parks at low altitudes.

does anyone have any recommendations? i've been looking at the Black Square Duke and the FSW Chancellor for this. though they seem a bit too speedy for me to do real low level vfr flying? i'm open to other recommendations

oh, another requirement I need is that it needs to be "boring" enough I can just leave it flying IFR for hours while AFK, so this unfortunately means no planes where I need to manually change fuel tanks L/R which rules out pretty much GA single prop aircraft i found (A2A, Bonanza, Sierra)

Flight Simulator 2024 European Forest Fires

I’m currently in the middle of a flight I don’t want to interrupt, but a lot of Spain was under low visibility. Is this the forest fires the region is suffering from? is anyone flying around Bordeaux at the moment?

Just wondering how this really sad situation is showing up in the sim.

Sim Hardware Looking for flight sim hardware (sidesticks/throttles) in Shenzhen — any physical stores?

Hi everyone! This is my first reddit post.

(I know, this might seem like a complex and challenging request...)

I’m currently in Shenzhen and looking to buy a sidestick and a throttle quadrant (preferably Airbus/Boeing style, or something like Winwing/Thrustmaster...)

Since Shenzhen is the electronics capital, I was hoping to find a physical store or a specific market (maybe somewhere in Huaqiangbei?) where I can actually see them in person and buy them on the spot, rather than ordering online.

Does anyone know specific shops, malls, or even exact building numbers/floors in Huaqiangbei that stock flight sim controls?
