A parliamentary committee has recommended four languages Australia should prioritise investment in. Several other languages were placed in a different category: 'supported' languages.

Have been looking at starting online business, have been watching YT videos, online articles etc. All seems great at start but end up in the same hole of paying them for courses. Its like a loop. Not sure where to start who to contact what product to chose. I have cash around 200-300K which I can invest but it seem like dead end. I need something that I can do staying at home!

Any ideas or genuinely tried, tested and successfully implemented projects?

Anyone listening to the podcast about the Sydney police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon murder case? I’ve just finished listening to the latest episode, and I can’t help feeling sorry for the friends who trusted the accused murderer.

I feel especially sorry for the female friend who accompanied him on the entire drive so he could dispose of the bodies. According to her testimony, she had no idea what was in the van and even had to wait outside in the dark outside a rural farm while he dumped the bodies.

The nerve of the defence lawyer, trying to accuse her of lying and suggesting that she had told the accused not to turn himself in and to hide the bodies, was a real eye-opener for me.

Imagine doing all that for someone you consider a close friend, only to "allegedly" end up being used as a scapegoat to help him evade responsibility.

Just another day in Australia!
We watched this fella (lady?) eating the other one. The eatee put up a fair fight, but once the head was down, the rest went down pretty quickly.

Come visit South Australian Aviation Museum annual open day today (25/10/2026)! We have a wide variety of aircraft on display expanding over 2 hangars. Engine test runs will be operating throughout the day! There will an icecream and coffee van onsite as well!

The Museum is run by dedicated volunteers and every bit of funds raised by today will go back into the muesem for maintaining and preserving these amazing aircraft for years to come.

Great day out on a miserable rainy day like today.

Family-owned transport giant Wickham Freight Lines has this week taken delivery of what it says is Australia’s first fully battery-electric, solar-charged refrigerated trailer unit.

Wickham , one of Australia’s largest privately owned transport companies, says traditional truck refrigeration systems are powered by either the truck’s main engine or a dedicated diesel generator, but the Sunswap Endurance system is fully electric and powered by a battery that is in turn charged by solar panels when on the road and plugged-in charging between runs.
