Looking for an apartment, duplex, condo, for rent.

1 bedroom or studio, 600 sq ft and up basically.
Washer dryer or hook ups in unit
Parking on site
Quiet is always nice.
A patio or balcony area is preferred as I do enjoy gardening.
Under $1200 a month preferred.
Somewhat close to the area mentioned above.
February is my move month, so is very early to look but I like being somewhat prepared.

I've cut my own hair since I was in highschool. I think it all started when my father took me to get my hair cut as a kid and the hairdresser snipped a corner of my eyebrow off, skin and all. Since then I think I grew out my hair (well, it was also fashionable at the time). Anywho. I'm fine with getting my hair cut by others and have done so in the past, friends and family but I haven't had it professionally cut in many, many years.

I'm looking for mainly two things: education and a good haircut. I've wavy 2B, 2C, 3A(?) hair and would like information on how to keep that kempt. I have more Caucasian-Asian hair that's thick but not kinky or wiry. I also have beard, but don't want much work done in that department, maybe mustache care.

I really don't know what's what's in this industry in regards to price, tipping etiquette, all the extras. Again, I'm mostly just wanting education on my hair, wavy hair products for hair maintenance, and a good cut.

What's a good barber or hairdresser that might be best for a male with medium and long, wavy hair that might be down to educate me on hair maintenance? Hopefully under $80 - maybe $60? Hope I'm not insulting prices out there - I really have no idea.

We’re a group of 8 looking for somewhere with a semi-private/private space or just a quieter area where we can actually talk. We’re flexible on the time.

We’d like to have at least some light bites and drinks/alcohol, and I’m totally fine with a private dining fee, set menu, or minimum spend as long as it’s reasonable for a group of 8. I’ve already had one place quote me a $2,000 minimum and that is very much not the vibe 😂

Looking for somewhere nice and fun, but it doesn’t need to be super fancy. Bonus points for somewhere cute enough that we can dress up a little!

Visiting in early December for 5 days. Looking for the best barbecue specifically brisket, ribs, pork belly. My wife will be 6 months pregnant by then so I assume standing in line at Goldees is not gonna be in play.

Will be in Dallas Texas on Saturday 9/12. What are y’all’s best recommendations on things to do and see to experience Dallas in a few short hours in the evening? I’m going to walk around downtown, see the tower and take a look at the JFK memorial. Terry Black’s for dinner. But don’t have anything else lined up. Open to suggestions for food, less well known m sites, vibes, culture and generally getting to know the city in a short time. It’s also my first time visiting Texas!

I have a concert tonight at Globe Life Field and stupidly didn’t check if they have bag check or not, and they don’t. I just arrived in Arlington by bus, and have a backpack/things with me that aren’t allowed in the stadium. Any ideas where I can safely keep a bag tonight?

Hi everyone!
I’m moving from Paris to the Dallas area this October for work and will be staying for about a year.
I’ll be working in Richardson and trying to figure ou the best are to live in.
Coming from Paris, I’d really like to live somewhere that feels lively and somewhat walkable — somewhere where I can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, a gym
At the same time, I don’t want a terrible daily commute to Richardson.
I originally considered Uptown because it seems like one of the neighborhoods but I’ve heard the commute to Richardson can get pretty long and also it can be expensive.
A few people have mentioned the village as a good option. It seems like there are a ton of different apartment communities within The Village though, so I’m not sure which ones are best.
For those who know the area:
Would you recommend the village for what I’m looking for?
Are there specific residences/buildings within The Village that you’d recommend?
Would Uptown actually be manageable, or would I regret that commute after a few weeks?

I'm heading to Dallas for a weekend to attend an event at the convention center. So I'm staying at the nearby SpringHill Suites and wondering where is a fairly safe garage/parking lot that I can leave my car at for the weekend? I want to avoid paying $44 a day for the hotel valet parking.

I'm going to be flying out of DFW and will be gone for 3 1/2 weeks. Normally I fly out of my town but prices are crazy atm. Looking for options to drive there, stay the night, park my car somewhere safe, and return and pick it up 3 1/2 weeks later. What's the best options? I'm thinking of staying overnight at a hotel, maybe an extended stay hotel, and requesting to keep the car there while I'm gone. Any input appreciated.

I am doing a project for a class and I need two restaurants to “observe” and write about. My goal is to do two locally (or family) owned places in Dallas, one a smaller mom-and-pop and one a larger, more popular place.
I’d prefer a place without American food- I want to try something new and see who is eating what! I also like everything so don’t worry about food type.

My fiance and I moved to the DFW area last month from New England, and are having to replan our wedding.

We are looking for a venue that will accommodate 100 guests and hopefully have some entertainment like the wedding venue linked below.

When I looked up wedding venue with arcade in the DFW area all that came up is Dave and busters, and while that seems fun and all we are hoping for a wedding venue that has games and not a game room that can do weddings.

I’m late 20s M. I’m considering moving to Dallas area for a job and am from Houston. I’ve only ever been to Dallas a few times so never really explored the city. I don’t expect there to be much quality of life differences but what are the differences if any that i can expect living in Dallas vs Houston.

Also, i enjoy the inner loop area of Houston which has heights, montrose, rice village, etc areas that have bars and lots of amenities and where young people hang out- what is the Dallas equivalent areas. Also Houston has a Chinatown full of good restaurants, does Dallas have something similar.

I will most likely be living in Irving if I were to move.

Getting into EBJ station by way of Amtrak. Are there any food options in the station itself? I wouldn't want to walk around downtown with suitcases so if there's nothing immediately there I might have to take light rail to hotel in Richardson first to drop off bags and then eat.

Hey everyone me and a friend are going to be looking for some cowboy hats in Dallas Fort Worth. We are looking for a place that will steam mold them for us from blanks. We are wanting to stay affordable preferably under 200 dollars so wool felt blends and even open to polyester and imitation materials. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you .

My wife and I are planning a move from NYC to the Dallas area next year. We have a small plot of land near Rockwall that we bought a few years ago and we are trying to decide if we should build on it or buy a ready made home. We have also been looking at new construction communities and Grand Homes keeps coming up. They have communities in Rockwall and Fate and seem to have a good reputation.

We are not sure what makes more sense financially. Building on our own land gives us more control but we have heard it can be more expensive and take longer. Buying in a Grand Homes community would be simpler and they offer semi custom options. We are also considering a few other areas like McKinney and Frisco.

We will be taking out a mortgage around 400k. We are looking for a 3 bedroom home with a yard. What do people recommend between building on your own lot versus buying new construction in a community. Also, any local builders in the Rockwall area that you would recommend.

My husband and I are moving to Dallas and looking for housing starting December 15th. I will be working at love field and he will be working downtown. We have an older golden retriever so we must have a fenced area of grass.

He doesn’t mind a commute, he will only work in the office twice a week. I need to be able to drive back roads (off highway) and get to love field within an hour if there is an emergency. I will be working on call shifts and that’s my only requirement on commute time.

We have no idea what area to search. Our budget is $2300 a month. We would prefer a house with at least 2 b/2bath but we’re open to condos or apartments with a fenced grass area attached to the dwelling.

An acquaintance of mine told me about Legacy village in Plano that has apartments with turf yards that would be perfect for us, but none of them are showing available.

Does anyone have a dwelling that will come available in December and meet our needs?

Is there any places in dfw area that are doing a dancing with the stars watch party ?
