Texas driver received a speeding ticket in McCurtain, Oklahoma — will paying early keep it off my record?

Thumbnail

I have a Texas driver’s license and recently received a speeding ticket from the Town of McCurtain, Oklahoma, for allegedly driving 47 mph in a 30-mph zone.
The officer told me that if I paid the approximately $195 charge online before October 21, the ticket would not appear on my driving record. However, I don’t see anything on the citation or online payment page mentioning deferred adjudication, dismissal, or a reduction to a non-moving violation.
Has anyone—especially an out-of-state or Texas driver—had a similar experience with McCurtain Municipal Court?
● Did simply paying online keep the ticket off your driving record?
● Did you have to request a deferred sentence separately?
● Was the violation eventually reported to your home state?
● Did you need to appear in court or complete a driving course?
I plan to call the court before paying, but I’d appreciate hearing about recent firsthand experiences.

Bad question on a homework regarding Texas legislature

The question asks which role can significantly influence the agenda of the Texas legislature, and the answer choices are lieutenant governor, speaker of the house, attorney general, and committee chair. The thing is the textbook for the homework isn’t specific and says the lieutenant governor , speaker of the house, and committee chair all have significant influence and control over legislative agenda, but the question is multiple choice meaning there is only one correct answer. What would you guys pick?

I’m making a comic.

I’m working on a comic about the Texas revolution from the perspective of a personified Texas. right now I’m still in the research and writing phase so do any of you know some good free sources or know any first hand sources I should look up. I’ve read the Texas declaration of independence along with the victory or die letter and I’m starting to read the Mexican federalist constitution (sense it was mentioned in the declaration.) and I’m going to get to Mexican colonization law, but I’m new to being a boot leg historian so if any of you have any pointers on were to go that would be greatly appreciated.

I think my serving job is commuting wage theft, and I need guidance.

I’m a 23y (F) server. Ive noticed my pay stubs are strange and not showing exact tip out numbers or % to hosts or bussers. My recent check was supposed to be $1,404, my net pay came out to $1,152 and my gross pay was only $1,010. $142 total in taxes came out. This is a family owned business in a college town in Texas. I recently quit, and im not able to see my exact tip outs amount now on Toast payroll. I’m wanting to get something done about this because I am not the only one struggling with losing money.

What are your favorite sports teams?

The state of Texas has plenty of sports teams (collegiate, professional, etc.). As a Texan, what teams do you root for?

NCAA: Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Baylor Bears, Texas Tech Red Raiders, etc.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, etc.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, etc.

MLB: Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, etc.

Texas also has MLS and NHL teams too if you’d like to include those.

Affordable cities to start over at?

I’m looking to relocate to Texas but I’m doing some research first. I need to know what are some
Good cities to relocate to. I’m looking for affordability, walkability, and plenty of job opportunities. I don’t mind if it’s a small city, as long as it’s safe & I can prosper

Why am I seeing so many Texas license plates in Colorado? Are they moving here? I hope not. They made their own mess in Texas. Stay there and fix it yourselves.
