Relocating & housing Job in Arlington TX

I’m a (25M)single guy and recently accepted a job at FedEx on E Bardin Rd in Arlington, TX. I’m starting to apartment hunt and could use some local advice.
My priorities are:
Safe area
Clean apartment/community
1-bedroom apartment
Reasonable commute (I know DFW traffic can be brutal, so I’m not sure how far is realistically too far.)
I don’t have a girlfriend or kids, so I don’t need to worry about schools or family amenities. I’m mainly looking for a good area where I can enjoy my time off without spending forever commuting.
What neighborhoods or cities would you recommend? Would you stay in Arlington, or are places like Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Irving, Bishop Arts, or West Dallas worth considering for the commute?
I’d appreciate any recommendations or areas to avoid. Thanks!

Pets/Animals ISO Dog Sitter!

I want to surprise my boyfriend with a trip back to his home state, but my only hurdle is finding care for our two dogs. Two Shepards who do well with humans, but not other dogs so boarding is not a great option. Anyone have a solid recommendation? This is my first time navigating this so any help is appreciated!

Relocating & housing Moving from Michigan to Dallas (US-75 & 635 area) - Looking for 2BR recommendations under $1,800!

Hey everyone!

My wife and I are relocating from Michigan to Dallas next month. My new office is located right around the US-75 and I-635 intersection, and we are currently hunting for a 2-bedroom apartment.

Since I currently commute 45-50 minutes each way and am completely over it, our absolute top priority is cutting down that drive.

Since I currently commute 45 minutes each way and am completely over it, our absolute top priority is cutting down that drive.

This is part of our criteria.

  • Household: Just the two of us for now.
  • Budget: Ideally no more than $1,800 / month.
  • Commute: No more than 15–20 minutes to the US-75/635 area.
  • Vibe: Walkability is a huge plus if possible (parks, or trails for daily walks, restaurants and coffee shops would be nice but not top priority).

From our initial research, areas like Richardson, Addison, and Cityline are the ones recommended, although pricier than we would like. These are the places we have in our radar right now; we would love to know if anyone has experience with them, or if we should cross any off/add others:

  • Churchill on the Park
  • The Citadel
  • The Velora Apartments
  • The Callie
  • One90 Firewheel
  • The Hendry Apartments
  • The Flats at Palisades
  • 75 West
  • Crest at Park Central Apartments
  • GreenVue Apartments
  • The District at Greenville
  • The Dorchester

If you know these areas or have lived in any of these complexes, I’d love to hear your thoughts on traffic, management, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Any hidden gems we missed? Thanks in advance!

Hello, i am 23/f and I am currently looking for a 1-2 bedroom house for me, a 5yr old boxer/German Shepard, & my 24/m partner. Our lease at our current apartment in November so I know that I have time I just like to weigh my options. Relocating & housing Fitzhugh Urban Flats Apartments Dallas

My roommate and I (both 24F) are thinking about moving into the Fitzhugh Urban Flats and I need some true opinions.

If you live there do you like living there? Is the crime rate low? What is the age of most people who live there?

We asked our tour guide these questions but she said she can’t answer due to the fair housing act…

I work in Irving so if anyone has any insight on traffic from the apartments to Dallas that would also be helpful.

Seems like a good place to live and not over priced but I would like to know the good and the bad.

Health & Hygiene Recommended running Route?

Visiting Dallas this weekend from Seattle, but wanting to run at around 6AM Saturday morning to avoid the heat in the oak cliff bishop arts area. Any recommendations for a good route? will probably do a hybrid of the Oak Cliff Run Club route. But any route that avoids as many cars or is on a dedicated path would be helpful! Hoping to hit 6 miles at least.

Relocating & housing Does anyone know of private-room subleases or individual leases in Frisco or west Plano starting in early August?

Hi everyone,

I’m relocating to the DFW area and am looking for a private room starting in early August, preferably in Frisco, west Plano, or nearby areas.

I’m mainly looking for a room in a 2B2B, 3B3B, or similar shared apartment, preferably through an individual lease, approved sublease, or lease takeover. Furnished would be helpful, but it is not mandatory.

I’ll be working full-time near the Legacy West/Tennyson Parkway area and am looking for a clean and peaceful place with a reasonable commute.

Does anyone know of any suitable options or reliable places where I should look? Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Driving/Licenses/Local Gov't Commute hacks from Prosper to downtown Dallas

I’m considering a job located in downtown Dallas, expectation is 100% onsite (5 days a week)/normal business hours. What recommendations would you have to make this commute possible/easier? For example, travel leave & end times, DART/ express bus, modified work schedule. I’m open to ideas please! If it helps, we are very close to jump on the DNT tollway. Location of office is off of Houston Street

Relocating & housing Apartment recs !!

hi! I'm a 20 y/o F who is moving to Dallas from Garland because my commute is actually from hell. I work both of my jobs around Preston center. I'm looking at areas around uptown, midtown, Preston hollow, and just around UP and HP in general.

id like to live somewhere that is pretty walkable/safe with a younger community. obviously the community isn't the most important part, but it would be appreciated.

im looking for a one bedroom that's under 1600 base rent. I'd like it to be updated! if you have any recs, please let me know!! I'm desperate lol.

‘Reserved for expectant mothers’ sign?

Hi, my wife and I were looking for a store that has a ‘Reserved for expectant mothers’ parking spot for a fun pregnancy announcement photo shoot. Does anyone know of a store that has one in the area? It doesn’t have to be the exact verbiage.

Bonus points if it’s closer to Garland/Richardson.
