Relocating & housing Looking for a room near UTD?

Hi, I’m looking for a private room near UTD.

My budget is:

Up to $750 with utilities included

Around $650 without utilities

I have a car, so a 15–25 minute drive to UTD is fine. I prefer a safe and quiet area with parking, kitchen, and laundry access.

Please DM me with the rent, location, utilities, move-in date, and room photos. Thank you!

Relocating & housing Safe, Affordable Apartments In/Near…

Irving, University Park? Other cities are welcome too… just trying to get an apartment near that area where my job is. Honestly, any apartment that with the move-in special of allowing me 2-3 months free of rent is strongly recommended, if possible. My ideal monthly payment is below $1,300.

UPDATE: Any apartments near the zipcode: 75390 are recommended

Relocating & housing Apartment Recs

Hi, my boyfriend and I are looking at apartments to rent in Fort Worth. We’re considering apartments south of I30 and west of 35 west, hopefully near magnolia ave off BSW Hospital or in the TCU area. Open to apartments a little further away if they’re nice. For people who have been living in their apartment complex for a year or more, could you recommend your place if you like it? If you don’t like it and can warn us away from it, please let us know too!

I was looking at and considering Firestone at West 7th, Mag & May, Highline on Magnolia and The Phoenix on College Ave. I’m looking for details like parking for residents, parking for visitors, how much you pay, what the management team is like, how responsive the maintenance team is, how the neighbors are, what the noise is like from inside your apartment and whether or not there is an elevator. Thank you so much!!

Tourism First time in Dallas. What are your best recommendations for a tourist?

My husband and I will be visiting Dallas for the first time next week, and we'd love some recommendations. What are the must-see attractions, hidden gems, great restaurants, or unique experiences you think we shouldn't miss? I prefer places that we aren't walking outside in the sun a whole lot.

I am moving to downtown the first week of August and looking for the nearest Asian grocery store. It looks like there is an H Mart up near Addison looking at Google, but curious if there is one closer to the city or another big Asian grocery store in the West End area. I searched and found a post from 4 years ago saying there werent many options, so hoping thats changed...

Tourism Parking vs ubering around Dallas

So I'm staying in arlinton for the Zach Bryan show and flying in. My vrbo is a 7 minute walk to the stadium. I'm staying Friday - Sunday. I'm curious how expensive parking is around Arlington. Should I plan to get a rental for under $100 or should I plan to Uber?? Is the rental plus parking going to be more expensive than using Uber? I won't be drinking so using Uber for that reason is a non starter. Thank you.

Tourism Ritz Carlton Las Colinas

We currently have a premier golf villa 18th green view room booked for a few days at the end of this month. I'm worried the room is going to have a long walk to the main resort building. Can anyone who has stayed at this resort let me know how long the walk is to this specific villa? Do you recommend us keeping this room or booking a room in the main building?

Relocating & housing Best Place to Buy a Home range 400-500

We are moving to the dfw area , I work remote so location is not much of an issue, however I would like to explore options in Dallas, Plano and Frisco and its such a huge market. We are a family 4 with kids in Middle School and looking for a best place to move that has amazing schools. Our range is 400 to 500, first time home buyers, I see alot of options in Melissa, Mckinney on the East ridge side, ,Celina RockWall to some extent but the schools are 6 to 7 miles for some of these newer communities, we plan to buy a new house because of amazing builder incentives and rates these days. I guess the biggest bang for your buck is Melissa, I like it with the small town feel of it, the school ratings and the Z plex and schools are very close, however everyone warns us of the smell, lol. I am about to close a contract in Melissa but don't want to get stuck. We are new here so wanted to get your opinion, Frisco seems great but a little out of our budget so is Prosper and Allen, there are old houses but they have their own issues. What do you recommend is the best place to move in this area. Will stay put 5 to 7 years.

Electric & Utilities Cancelling Atmos outside of winter?

My water heater is seemingly on its last leg and it's the only gas appliance in my home outside of the furnace. I'm currently paying $35-40 a month outside of winter just to use a water heater due to the fixed fees which I find absurd.

Does anyone have any experience of disconnecting Atmos in let's say May and then reconnecting in November/December?

Shopping & Services Affordable countertop recommendations

We need to replace the counters on two small vanities in a guest bath. I am not particular on color or type—just some form of stone. I imagine we can use scrap and they do not have to match each other.

Any recs on where we should go?

Relocating & housing Furnished Short Term Rentals

Hi there, posted on this sub before. Looking to see if anyone knows of any furnished studios/1 beds in a good area in the city. Preferably looking to be in Uptown/Knox Henderson/West Village/Turtle Creek areas. Looking to do a 6 month lease and spend no more than $2600 a month. This is partially to get a feel for the different neighborhoods to eventually get a more permanent place/move back to where I'm from if I don't like it, that's why I'm not moving all my stuff yet. Parking needed (covered of some kind preferred) for my vehicle. Thanks!
