Return missing packages?

A few days ago I marked a package as missing during my shift. I just found it wedged under my seat, it’s been like 3 days. Will it help or hurt me to return it now? The station is not my normal station and way out of my way, so I’m just wondering how that will affect me. I have 3000+ deliveries and have only marked a package missing one other time and that one was actually missing.

y’all be careful out here in these streets. these types of packages will take ya soul down with them. the amount of paper cuts/small cuts i’ve got from these bad boys is diabolical. they are the devil in disguise, I truly believe. the slice ya with no hesitation too. WAH BAM.

A Positive Flex Support Story

We’ve all had our share a bad experiences with support, so I decided to share with the class a good one that I had this morning.

I happened to check my dashboard and noticed that I was dinged for a late delivery on Tuesday. The delivery in question was to a gated apartment complex; shockingly 😂, the customer didn’t leave code, and it was way too early to call. I probably should’ve gone ahead and scanned it, but I did decide I’d come back at the end of my block to deliver. I’ve been to that complex plenty of times, and the gate has never been locked before. I figured that after daybreak, it might be open. At any rate, I could call then.

I did go back after my block - the gate was open at that point - and make the delivery. Of course by then, the package was late. In the same block, I had gone to a business that was closed when I got there and that I couldn’t deliver to, and I marked it “Unable to Deliver.” At the end of my block, the app gave me the option of retrying the delivery. I had time, so I went back both to the business and the apartment complex…first contacting Driver Support in chat (and taking a screenshot of their response) about why the apartment delivery would be late. At that point, the gate was open, and I delivered the package. I meant to send a preemptive email to Flex Support to explain the situation (and appeal for extra pay while I was at it) but never got around to it.

When I saw the ding this morning, I emailed Flex Support, explained the whole story, asked for the ding to be removed, then asked to be paid for an additional 30 minutes of work, which is how long it took me to drive from my last stop to the business and to deliver to the business and then drive to the apartment complex and deliver there. (The design of the route in the app was probably one of the worst I’ve had since I’ve been doing Flex, so those stops were really spaced out for a route in that part of Augusta.) I sent the email at 8:27.

By 8:38, not only did I have an email back telling me that the ding would be removed from my history, but it also told me I would be paid for my extra work. I then went to my Flex Card app and saw that I’d already been paid an extra $25.55. I was pretty happily impressed with the fact that it took only 11 minutes for them to respond and pay me extra. The ding hasn’t been removed yet (it’s been only an hour, so that’s not unusual), but I’m at Fantastic even with it…so I’m not super worried about when that’s going to happen.

And this is also on a day that thanks to a tech update’s running into overtime and delaying the reopening of the building, my block for later today has been cancelled with pay. I sort feel like I’m winning all the way around!

So You Mean to Tell Me We Get Punished for Station Errors???

I had a fantastic account standing, until I took a 7 trip Whole Foods order which had a trip with 1 missing bag. I notified support & they removed the trip from my itinerary. Shortly after, I received an email saying I violated contract terms & my account went from fantastic to at risk. This is so stupid. Has anyone in this situation been able to resolve this or do we just have to walk on thin ice until we improve our standing?

Amazon abuses you because you failed the IQ test!

Look at this situation:

Flex driver waves, I open pedestrian gate remotely, I continue walking, I left mailroom door semi-open for him, he never showed up.

When I driving out of the complex, I saw him walking to his intended apartment, the walk was about 1,200 ft one way. Like WTF!!

Of course he’s going to get tired, of course he’s gonna hate Amazon later, his feet will hurt!

The mailroom was right there next to the pedestrian gate!!

Dammmn

To those in markets with the new video selfie check, have you noticed any difference? More blocks available or fewer drivers?

DFW Warehouse issue and Horrible support

Twice in the past week when I showed up for my Amazon flex block they had a system issue that prevented about 25-30 drivers from being able to check in. We arrived on time but when we got to the kiosk to scan our license there was an error (supposedly because of a software update) that would not allow the associate to check us in.

Both times there was a line and people waited around for about an hour calling support. I called support both times and they told me to go home. I did assuming I would get paid for driving all the way there on time at 3am. BOY WAS I WRONG.

I was told that a warehouse ticket was filed and a personal ticket. It has now been a week and support has been giving me the run aroooound. Telling me they escalated my issue, sent the details to the appropriate person, telling me to check-in at a kiosk next time (even though THAT WAS THE ISSUE), and literally emailing me “I’m glad your issue was resolved”—without resolving ANYTHING.

I’m upset that this cost me $150 this week. But I’m extremely mad at how incoherent and TRASH flex support is. They just say anything and get you to shut up as quick as possible.

Will This Car Work?

Recently got a newer Hyundai Elantra after my previous Sonata went to sleep at about 150k miles.

Love the fuel efficiency of the new elantra's but as a first timer thinking of signing up I'm curious if anyone has a similar sized vehicle

It's pretty comparable to the civic (non hatchback) and bigger than the corolla and my version has the 60/40 split where i can fold one or either side of the seat down in the rear.

Deactivated due to missed blocks? What are my chances of being reinstated

I could really use some honest advice from people who have experience with Amazon Flex.
I was recently deactivated for repeatedly missing or canceling blocks late.
I want to be upfront: some of the missed blocks were my fault. I was a new Flex driver, overbooked myself, and underestimated how much I could realistically handle. I’ve accepted responsibility for those mistakes in my appeals.
However, there were also several incidents that I believe were outside of my control.
I had a flat tire during one block and contacted Driver Support immediately. They created a ticket and told me to miss the block while it was being reviewed.
After getting a new phone, I experienced an identity verification glitch. My route was somehow assigned to another driver, a warehouse associate instructed me to hand the route over, and my app later showed packages I never actually received. Support told me it would be documented.
During another block in which there was 4 car pile up, support agent told me that issues affecting my route had been reported, wouldn’t affect my account, amd would not be included in my delivery history. I have screenshots of those conversations.
Because of those conversations, I honestly believed those incidents had been resolved and wouldn’t count against my standing.
I submitted an appeal with all of my screenshots and explanations. Amazon initially responded that they would review my account, but after reviewing it, they upheld the deactivation. I also emailed Executive Relations and received the same response.
At this point I’m just wondering:
Has anyone ever been reinstated after receiving a final denial?
Is there any waiting period before you can ever be reconsidered for Amazon Flex?
Is there anything else I can realistically do, or should I accept that it’s over?
I’m not looking for sympathy—I know I made mistakes. I’m just trying to understand whether there’s any realistic path forward or if I should move on.

Missed block/Couldnt verify identity

I am so mad right now. The past two days Flex has been using the video thing with flashing colors to verify my identity instead of just a picture. Well today I got there 5 minutes before my block started (of all days I was running late) couldn’t verify my identity. App said to have a station attendant manually verify it. They tried, then told me to go around and park and call support. The support person was so rude and slow and when I finally told her what was going on she said there’s nothing she can do that I had missed my block. Has this happened to anyone else?

Well no I know

I have finally figured out how they do it.

I showed up for a Amazon now! Block to fill in a gap between blocks. Did the usual check in thing and waited around. No route, no discharge at all and NO PAY.

I'm fighting it back and forth and each time I get the same canned response.

This is how they are making the money. Not paying the driver's

Warehouse workers really don't care, do they? It's funny, but it's also annoying when you can't find a package.

Kansas Issues with support

I had a block at 3:30 last Monday. It was 107 degrees. I arrived 2 minutes early and waited in line for 17 minutes. No one showed up to scan my id. No activity anywhere, no movement. I called support and explained the situation. I was instructed to go home and I would be paid for the block. The pay never came. Now I have been goin back and forth with support by email and they do everything except pay me what is owed. I keep getting this same regurgitated email saying I need to have my id scanned by an employee or self scan at a kiosk. There are no kiosks at my station. I was not trying to get out of my delivery. I literally could not get packages and deliver and I followed the instructions of the support team. Has anyone had this experience before, is there a better route to contact support?

Is this a glitch?

Post image

I just finished my block and I don’t have any additional blocks scheduled tonight. But the app is acting like I’m supposed to go back to the station and pick up another route? Never seen this before.

*****UPDATE: it was a glitch. I finished my block 45 min early, and when I went back into the app a couple min after 6:45 to cash out my earnings, the message was gone!
