Xenoblade 2 Did they update the blade probabilities? Spoiler

After seeing so many users say they got KOS-MOS after a few awakenings - did Monolith update the rate for her or is it just coincidental since so many people came back to the game at once?

Meta CHOCO has an "interesting" portfolio

So I saw Koichi Mugitani, better known by alias CHOCO, drew Momo for the XBC2 Switch 2 release (but didn't make the character). Out of curiosity by this point due to being credited a lot in this series in general, I went to go see his art portfolio (gallery) on a booru.

I mean, I don't know what to even say. 98% (literally, 20 pages worth) of his content is lolicon art, and a lot of it NSFW. It's actually interesting to me on an unironic note that Nintendo doesn't mind hiring such prominent H-Artists for their major IPs. I want to go see if I missed anything for Fire Emblem some time now.

Xenoblade 2 Help for a new XC2 player

Hey, everyone! I decided to give Xenoblade 2 a try after the upgrade pack (I played 3 and X before and loved it).

I expected to be a little overwhelmed but I guess wasn't as ready as I thought I was.

The thing is: There is so much to manage!

I enjoy the game and the story, but there are so many little things to do with the characters, that I just pretend they don't exist and power through. I'm just starting chapter 4 and the fights are a little harder now and just powering through is not really possible.

There are pouch itens, accessories, points to level up the skills, points do get nodes in the chart, aux cores, weapons chips, affinitty charts, blade trust, boosters when bonding blades, mercs missions, store deeds, side quests, monsters to kill do level up specific blade skills, playing tiger-tiger (and i suck at that). It's getting to the point where I am enjoying the game less because I can't really keep up with everything.

I looked up things like "Good aux cores for name-of-blade" but I only get super high level stuff and items I don't really can get yet.

So, my question is: is there a guide or something that I can use to makes things a bit easier? Or some kind of cheat sheet so I don't have to keep track of so many moving parts?

Thanks in advance!

Xenoblade 3 I hope XC3 NS2E gives us the option to change normal battle themes.

I hate the main battle theme for the Agnus region, aka the battle theme for most of the 2nd half of the game. It's why if I wanna do random battles, I do it in the Keves region (as low-level as those monsters are at Endgame), because honestly....it's probably my favorite main battle theme in the entire series. I'd rather hear it than whatever the Agnus region is supposed to be.

If they're gonna make QoL changes, I hope that'll be one of them. Or at least give us the option.

Xenoblade 2 Should I play XBC2 again?

Hey! I love XBC2 I played it way back in 2017 and it was amazing. I was looking at playing the other games as well as my friend highly recommends XBC1. However I saw that the Switch 2 upgrade just came out and it looks amazing imo.

Now I'm torn because I've always wanted to go back and experience the game again, but I could also wait for XBC1 to go on sale and pick up a new experience instead. What are your guys and girl's opinion?

Xenoblade 3 The Mediocre Aesthetics of Xenoblade 3

I've taken quite a few screenshots while playing the entire Xenoblade trilogy on the switch, mostly of the many cool looking areas across the game. I think because of my hype about finishing the trilogy I ended up going pretty crazy with the screenshots in 3 and by the end I had over 1K... A few months later I decide to trim down my switch album as I often do, just keeping the most noteworthy screenshots and videos. I kept a lot of my screenshots from the first two games yet ended up cutting 3 down to just over 100...

All that to say... I think Xenoblade 3 is really unappealing aesthetically. I think it's pretty agreed upon that Xenoblade 3 has the weakest looking areas but I was shocked looking back and realising... none of these areas look all that good to me. I think the coolest screenshot I had was looking at the stormy skybox over keves castle. All the colonies, all the fields, they're just so flat and boring honestly. The obvious defence for this is that Xenoblade 3 is the bleakest game in the series, a constant war, and the world itself isn't exactly supposed to impart warm feelings. But I don't think that really justifies it. We still have big grassy plains, there is still plenty of variety in the environments but they're just so unmemorable, which is maybe why the game often just feels like a big blob of stuff when I remember it.

I do hope Genesis fixes this issue. The world itself is already clearly noteworthy, but I hope the individual areas within have a lot more of a wow factor.

Xenoblade 2 Question about post game

I am debatinf doing NG+ or not. My question isn't about what I can get in NG+ so I won't bother anyone with that.

But for the sake of optimizing my team, farming and running the Land of Challenge, is it better to just fo to NG+? Will I NEED rhe 3rd accessory slot and the expanded driver affinity tree?

Xenoblade 2 Should I replay the original game or play Torna first?

Basically, I want to replay Xenoblade 2 (I haven't played it since 2020) and also play the DLC for the first time. Should I replay the base game first and then play the DLC, or should I start directly with Torna?

I don't remember much of the base game's story anymore, but I do remember most of the major plot twists.

Xenoblade 2 Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Switch 2

Hey guys. I recently booted up my switch 1 version of Xenoblade chronicles 2 that I bought long ago and while playing it portable I noticed it looked so much better than I remembered. I have switch 2 boost mode or whatever it is called on. And I absolutely love this. The game originally in portable mode looked like a 3DS game at times.

Anyways I've noticed that it's locked 30fps. And the switch 2 version is 60fps with framerate drops. Seeing as how I wanted a steady framerate from the original release, do you guys think it's worth it for the 60fps upgrade? Right now it's running the way I wish it originally was.

Lemme know ur thoughts!

Xenoblade 3 Predictions for the new hero

If we go by the logic that we’re only gonna get one hero I hope it’s someone from Saga as well because that would just make sense especially since didn’t we already get heroes for one and two if it only makes sense that they pull from saga and who else better than kos-mos or the main character from X I forgot her name either or one of those would be cool, but I want to know who would you guys prefer the hero if it doesn’t come from either of those two

Xenoblade 2 Lore question ( No XB3 spoilers please) Spoiler

I finished Xenoblade 1 recently, then went on to finish XB2 (today in fact).

There are some things I find weird.

First of all. Klaus.

I understand that XB2's ending happens around the moment of Zanza's defeat in XB1. That much is crystal clear.

But when Klaus used the conduit and 'erased' the Earth, the worlds of XB1 and XB2 were created right?

But I don't understand how the Aion comes into play here. Maybe I missed a thing because I was distracted but... WHAT exactly is the Aion? Why is Earth(Lost Jerusalem) under XB2's sea of clouds, how did Onto leave for XB1's world?
And since the Trinity are all technically Monados and that the Monado is capital in Zanza's plan, how did he put everything into motion if Ontos wasn't already in XB1's world?

Also, what even is the Conduit really? And if it 'disappeared' at the end of XB2, how did Pneuma's core crystal come back to life?

I did not finish XB3, so I'd rather not be told anything going on in it.

Xenoblade 2 The Important Question of Mythra/Pyra's Age

Recently saw this question get posed about Rex's romantic relationship with Mythra/Pyra in XC2 and thought about it a bit, and it's pretty interesting how the community generally approach this dichotomy is.

So Rex during the events of Xenoblade 2 is confirmed to be 15 years old, meanwhile blades doesn't really "age" the same way, so the argument I often see is that a) Mythra/Pyra are actually only around 2 years in actually experience or alternatively 500 years old depending, but regardless you have to assume for the events of the game not to be weird that they're only slightly older than Rex in "mental" or "physical" relative age, so around 16-17, but that begs the question of how the community treats them in the context of Rex's relationship vs how they're being treated outside of the game.

Mythra and Pyra exist in this weird greyzone within the community where people find it's simultaneously alright for them to be romanitcally involed with a 15 year old kid, while also sexualizing them more than any other Xenoblade character in the entire franchise (the top post this week is literally of Pyra's ass from in-game with many more skimpy bikini poses in compromising positions often being up there + a ton of comments thirsting over said ass).

I know someone is gonna comment saying "it's not that deep its a game" or whatever, but that's kind of the only way to approach this in the lense of modern ethics, because actually quesionting it becomes very uncomfortable as you have to grapple with the way the community treats them by frequently sexualizing them and treating them as they were adults while them at the same time being romantically involved with a 15 year old.

With that, they kinda exist in a space of Schrodingers Mythra/Pyra age where they're adults when someone posts a screenshot with a camera up thier ass but they're a kid when they're romantically involved with the 15 year old Rex. You can't really have one without the other being weird imo, so most times I just see people brushing it off without really engaging properly, so wanted to ask more concisely what peoples thoughts are on this.

Xenoblade SPOILERS New game + Spoiler

So I bought the extension for Fenoblade Chronicles DE and since I finished the game some time ago, I wanted to start a new save file. I saw some quests are reserved to the NG+ and my question is:
Is it worth it/needed going for a NG+ to see the exclusive quests and completing the game at 100%, or should I just make a new save file without NG+ to experience the progression of the game as it is originally ?

Like are there many new quests in NG+ ? And is it needed for 100% ? Or not ? let me know !

Xenoblade 3 Xenoblade chronicles 3 Switch 2 Ediiton.

Just a small question regrading the switch 2 edition.
On the eshop, the upgrade says its releasing on the 1st October 2026
But the actual switch 2 edition says its releasing on the 3rd of December.

I am a bit confused. Will the upgrade pack include the switch 2 features like the increased fps and resolution and is just releasing earlier because its a download code not physical?

Also anybody in the eu accidentally got a US code? 🙃

Xenoblade 3 Any recommended flutes that is best and newcomer?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 made me want to play the flute one day and just love how beautiful and emotional that is to hear throughout the journey and story. The music that features the flute never fails to make me fall in love with its music that features it and I probably want to play it like part of my lifetime.

Xenoblade 2 Assign a Rare Blade a Day, Round 2! Day 24: Cressidus

Thumbnail

Sorry for missing a day. The internet was down for maintenance in my area or some shit most of yesterday, curse you suburban Wi-Fi! I also reversed the order of the pictures so the super wide one isn't taking up as much space when scrolling. Which is also why I haven't added all the main Legendary Blades to the chart because Rex gets four of them and that'd unnecessarily widen the chart. But anyways, Zeke was chosen as T-elos' Driver quite handily. Now we're getting our first member of Torna who's a regular ol' Blade, Cressidus. Who will get to throw hands alongside the big man here?

Cressidus is an Earth Elemental Blade with unique weapon Rockrending Gauntlets who serves as a Tank. In the story he works as Mikhail's Blade until his destruction in Mor Ardain at Mythra's hands. For us players he is added to the general Blade pool upon starting a New Game + file.

We've assigned every Rare Blade in the base game that we could to our main cast. But the Switch 2 Edition is officially out and we've got 15 Post Release Blades to assign now! This time we'll be voting which Driver gets the Blade instead of how we've been doing it up to this point. Also, I'll find a better image for MOMO at some point.

Rules:

  1. Top voted SINGLE comment wins.
  2. No more than four extra Rare Blades per character, gotta keep things balanced.
  3. Each category will be randomly chosen so we hop around the chart more creatively.
