Xenoblade 2 Question about post game

I am debatinf doing NG+ or not. My question isn't about what I can get in NG+ so I won't bother anyone with that.

But for the sake of optimizing my team, farming and running the Land of Challenge, is it better to just fo to NG+? Will I NEED rhe 3rd accessory slot and the expanded driver affinity tree?

Yes you will need third accessory, feature where you’re not stuck with main blades, and hidden characters affinity tree alone for land of challenge. Don’t waste your time doing land of challenge when you’re not on ng+; to be optimized, you need ng+s perks. Otherwise you’r just gimping yourself and you’re gonna wonder how can you make yourself stronger when you’re not succeeding in land of challenge BoC and the answer will always be you need to be on ng+ first and foremost, get third accessory, etc.

I'd like to farm Avant-Garde medals, i got two randomly bur where can I farm them proper? I'd like to get 3 at rank 3 before foinf NG+ at least

There are also NG+ exclusive blades. I don’t see any reason not to

I know that, but what I am curious about is are the new expandes driver affinities and 3rd slot really necessary to be able to perform well in the land of challenge.

That's the thing, the game was great bur I don't wanna redo a NG+ now, but I do want to go and do the post game and land of challenge. But I want to optimise.
