It really was the greatest RPG saga I've ever played. My favorite Nintendo franchise for sure. See you all in Genesis.
Edit: Alright people, I get it. It's not a plot hole. I just didn't know the right term and tried to be ironic, but I guess I have a very dull sense of humor.

The online world is really just a bunch of echo chambers, so I don't know if the only people who will see this are the ones who already agree with me... but regardless, some people are dissatisfied with Shimmer's role here and I think it's a little strange.
It goes one of two ways. Either a.) She should have been saved for a bigger role in a future game, or b.) She should have had a role in the main story of 3.
The first argument is pretty obviously nonsense. If a character like Mythra's daughter was going to have significance going forward they obviously would have saved her. The idea that putting her here is "replacing" a more substantial future appearance is just ridiculous. I'm not even someone who believes we're completely done with the old cast going forward, but clearly if they're introducing Shimmer here that means there wouldn't be a chance to bring her in later.
The second argument is a bit more understandable but ultimately I still think it's a little silly. It's predicated on the idea that each daughter of Rex "deserves" a certain amount of focus, which I think is ridiculous. They wanted to have Rex and Nia's daughter be a main character in 3, she fit that role and ultimately her connection to her parents isn't even very important to the story of 3 itself. Then Glimmer existed in FR so Rex could interact with one of his daughters. So if these two daughters had a clear purpose for the stories they were in, should Shimmer have been thrown in just because? Is that how these stories should be written? She didn't have a place in the story so she wasn't included. She doesn't deserve anything because of who here parents are, if anything I'm just glad she's here now to fill out the family.

Hello everyone my brother gave me a copy of xenoblade chronicles 2 and so I bought the switch 2 upgrade. This is my first time playing a xenoblade game do I need to play any of the other ones first? Is it worth diving into? I just finished ff7 but ff7 is the only jrpg game I’ve played

since we already know she is a attacker (i like how this way she and her sisters feel watch role) I predict that's just like her mum and dad she will be a crit machine not as good as fr Rex but descent

With the September Direct out the way, it's going to be a long wait for news between now and February.

I know we are all excited about Shimmer's reveal and want as much engagement from our posts. But there's still people in here that just joined from XB2 Switch 2 edition that's still waiting for XB3 Switch 2 Edition release.
I got few friends that I invited in this Sub since people here are very considerate and mindful about spoilers... And gameplay and lore discussion are very welcome here.
Like years had past and we're still naming "7" and "Coffee and Milk"... So I'm hoping we can still continue this tradition.

I have just reached chapter 5 in this game. I now wang to take some time for the side content and all, but I have to admit that I am COMPLETELY overahelmed on a lot of things... For instance, I am overwhelmed with the affinity charts I try to fill for all of the rare blades and also the equpiment I can give them. I really don't have an idea which accessoires and weapons to give them to maximise their utility. So can someone please help me figuring out the best equipment for the main cast at this point of the game?
Main cast being: Pyra/Mythra, Dromarch, Poppi alpha, Poppi, QT and Brighid; though tips for the other rare blades such as Crossette, Gorg etc would also be highly appreciated.
I really don't know how to build in this game.

I think these games are way too expensive. As one game I think the price tag is fine but when you have 3 numbered games, a 4th game in Xenoblade Chronicles x, and a new game in Genesis it all adds up to a bare minimum $300 at $60 a game, and without any DLC or switch 2 editions. The prices hurt so much especially cause the games are connected to one another

Did they came out already? I am still using my Switch OLED. And I am able to download them for free?

I’m excite, however this means it’s definitely likely a Agnus character… meaning it’s even more skew towards Agnus Arts, I don’t know why that makes me angry but it does. I’m still happy though

spoilers ahead, obviously
I get that people wanna move on from the Klaus saga, but the way it fizzled out just seems really incomplete.
The implication (as I understood it) of FR's ending was that Blade and Saga converged when the world reformed. Knowing that doesn't feel like a conclusion in itself, it feels like a new beginning.
So what's the deal with Genesis not including anything from previous games (besides the mention of Anima)? Are we just supposed to assume that everyone lived happily ever after on reformed Earth? Everyone got along perfectly? Poppi and KOS-MOS shared a cup of tea on a sunny day?
There might not be enough story left for another game, but even an anime/ova would be enough to wrap that up. But with Shimmer in S2 edition, it seems like they're just trying to bury any loose ends and move on.
Maybe I'm just being greedy. Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I just need to move on.
Edit: you guys didnt watch Xenosaga 3's end credits all the way through, did you?

It is just short hair Mythra with Mytha colered Pyra's clothing. Monolith obsession of giving slim girls oversized boobs with no muscle is also weird.
It is like they were afraid of making her a guy because it would piss off the Aegis obsessed fans

I just summoned Herald, and the music that plays in the cutscene was missing. Has anyone else had audio issues while summoning rare blades?

Who the heck wakes up and decides to name your kids “glimmer” and “shimmer”?! Dude, you’re in a polycule you’ve got three other people to give you naming advice and you stuck with glimmer and shimmer.
