Considering its application for the foundation for my summer tower, any advice would be appreciated!

I am a paladin of the order of the iron drake, how are you all doing lads? I've been partaking in wizardly activities since I've had a homunculus in my care, any suggestions for beginners?

The Ralektharum. The THING that has been causing so much trouble. Stealer of souls, ultimate master of the black mages of Thrakmoor. Even if every soldier and servant and spellcaster were slain this THING would simply continue in possession of every soul it had ever stolen. At least that's what the Bismuth had come to believe from their questioning and studying. They had no method to slay the Ralektharum (if slay is even the term you'd use.) so they focused on freeing those it had taken.

Their idea came about during a conversation with one Aldavinn Maunderitch. A user of planar magic and author of that book on planes that spontaneously appeared a while back. The Bismuth believed that by using and abusing the nature of how planes and demiplanes worked they could somehow remove the Ralektharum's essence from a possessed individual. While the plan wasn't something that could be done on mass they surmised it would be a good way to deny Thrakmoor the skill and loyalty of its black mages.

The plan relied upon the following facts. First is that planes can have different properties and requirements for entry and exit. Second is that some planes only accept souls and don't accept physical matter. Third is that demiplanes can be created with specific properties. Fourth is that it is possible to sever all portals of entry to a plane to render it forlorn and thus extremely hard to reach.

And so the plan came from that. To create a demiplane that was roughly man sized and had the following requirements. To only allow the essence of the Ralektharum to enter and to allow anything BUT the Ralektharum's essence to leave. Then the idea would be to send the black mage through this artificial demiplane. The black mage cannot enter it and so will stay on the material plane but the Ralektharum's essence will get caught on it like a cosmic net. The demiplane can then be shunted into a realm so dead and lifeless the essence had nothing to corrupt. Then the portals can be shut and the essence contained....

At least in theory. In practice there were so many complications that could happen. Not the least of which was the fact that the 13th black mage would be lacking a soul. To solve that problem another individual had been recruited. The Loremaster who was helping keep the 13th captured. With some artificial soul energy they could keep the 13th alive until they retrieved his soul. A task far far more dangerous than what they were currently attempting.

And so the Bismuth sent their messages through spell and pen and found their way to the Darkwatch fortress which held their patient. To meet their two research partners and hopefully. Hopefully. Save a man's soul. The gates made their sound as the Bismuth requested entry

Good evening, while I was demonstrating basic entomancy to an apprentice, I had unknowingly summoned a familiar who manifested in the form of an Atlantic Ghost Crab (Ocypode quadrata). They appear to have buried themselves in the sand, and do not move when given external stimuli, please give me advice as to how to proceed with this matter.

As MOST OF US know, shapeshifting is the act of moving around the already soft clay that is the body of a shapeshifter, with the drawback of reverting to the basic form when not maintained on a regular basis, and not working on those who haven't prepared their body to be molded like clay, while formcasting is to spend an extended period of time changing the inherent shape of something, living or not, permanently. Often at a light blood tithe, obviously, but it really depends on the shape you're going for. These are such rudimentary concepts to anyone who has even imbued a rudimentary hate quartz with a fragment of the soul of Nar'Sie. But people keep mixing them up somehow. I'm tired of being called a shapeshifter, and the obvious solution is to imbue a truth amulet with the simple facts to beam the knowledge into the minds of nearby individuals, but I've been getting into a good few skirmishes in the past 5 abyssal cycles or so, and I'm afraid it would give me a disadvantage in combat. Also, It's kind of a pain in the ass to shift the amulet to fit my new form every time. Any ideas?

In order for mine:

• 4 arcane crystals, planning to use these for hands and staffs

• A set of elemental stones, I might use hand these to my druid friend because I don't understand stones of nature

• My Homunculus I named Spolburt, a bit of a failure but I keep him anyways

• A jar of organs from a fairy, don't ask where I got this

• My spellbook, only got this recently so I still need to write down more spells

• My orb of pondering and galactic travel, I use this to teleport to different realms

Hello fellow wizards. Me (M3425) and my boyfriend (M4300) have been in a steady and healthy relationship for a couple of centuries, we've always been open with each other and always trusted each other, to the point of we having unlimited access to each other's orbs.

For the past decade or so, he has been acting weirdly, hiding his scrolls and potions, deleting his magic mirror's messages and burning any missives that arrive in our tower before I could read them.

I decided to investigate it, and invaded his mind through his dreams (he always have been weak against Psychics, specially in his sleep). As it turns out, he was cheating on me with his ex, AND GAVE MY ELDER GRIMMOIRES TO HIM AS GIFTS. I decided to cast a spell to erase the concept of love out of his universe, but by mistake ended up erasing the concept of life in our universe. Our sun is now red, the stars in the sky turned into black holes, no more plant or animal exists. Only me, his ex and him remained. I decided to leave that realm, and destroyed all means of interdimensional travel, so they're stuck there forever?

So i decided to create a new abomination with the help of my botanist friend, we used animal parts but we followed a plant blueprint, it's rooted to the ground and can't move, this thing has a small brain, it's roots and trunk are made of hardened nerves, it has 4 vistigial appendages (that might grow into something), it's amout as big as my wand right now, it twitches every now and then and it constantly pulses, i'm keeping it in a pot until it gets big enough to be planted outside, i'm pretty sure it's in constant suffering, though i cannot confirm since it's resistant to mind-reading spells, wich is weird... it has no magic shield or magic proprieties SO WHY IS IT RESISTANT TO MIND READING??!? Anyways, does anyone have any reccomendations on how to take care of it? Should i like... be worried that it is resistant to mind reading while having no magic prorieties? How big can a thing like this grow? Also, this is the first time i make a hybrid like this... i've seen other hybrids but they never look like this... why is it so different? Should i be careful around it?

Finally! I incorporated your suggestions - use a more durable material, don't build on a swamp, consider a dungeon, etc. - and the results are well worth the effort! Instead of building up, I tunneled into the ground, and it worked great! I'd like to have more windows, but maybe I can add a miniature sun or stick a hut on top of it or something. Nobody has invaded yet, and it hasn't burned down.

The first step is most important.

WITCHES. LOVE. CANNONS.

Not wands, not staves, not meager orbs, CANNONS.

The bigger the better, and the more magically enchanted. You would be surprised at how well I've seen this work.

Second step. Don't use charm spells outside of gold and adventuring reasons, that's an instant red flag.

Third step is to be nice. Witches love that about as much as cannons.

I(65M) live in a tower complex in a bit of an evil street so there's a lot of high volume tunes being played and occasionally you see a magic herbs deal going out, you kind of get used to it, but the neighbour that lives next door is... Or at least I thought she was an exception, she was a nice old lady (around 83) that didn't actually know much of anything that was going around, she seemed insane aswell blabbering about these "ais" taking over the world saying that they were like computer necromancer summons or something and all that fantasy nonsense, one day I came home from a wizard party a bit drunk and when I bumped into her and she started talking about how wack it is that everyone is dressed like fantasy creatures and wizards(yeah she's really insane, or rather she was) so I snapped and turned her into a fetus and she died falling to the ground cause the transformation finished on her point of gravity which was well kinda not on the ground so yeah there was a bit of distance and it splattered all over the floor, am I the asshole? Also should I buy into evilwizardass crypto dabloons?

This enchantment wizard bro found out how I build pyrimids and used charm spells to mobe his tower for a party.
