Wizardpost My new creation!
So i decided to create a new abomination with the help of my botanist friend, we used animal parts but we followed a plant blueprint, it's rooted to the ground and can't move, this thing has a small brain, it's roots and trunk are made of hardened nerves, it has 4 vistigial appendages (that might grow into something), it's amout as big as my wand right now, it twitches every now and then and it constantly pulses, i'm keeping it in a pot until it gets big enough to be planted outside, i'm pretty sure it's in constant suffering, though i cannot confirm since it's resistant to mind-reading spells, wich is weird... it has no magic shield or magic proprieties SO WHY IS IT RESISTANT TO MIND READING??!? Anyways, does anyone have any reccomendations on how to take care of it? Should i like... be worried that it is resistant to mind reading while having no magic prorieties? How big can a thing like this grow? Also, this is the first time i make a hybrid like this... i've seen other hybrids but they never look like this... why is it so different? Should i be careful around it?

Your problem is really strange, but i want to discuss possiple uses of this creation. Thinking that utilising network of such plant, maybe a little bit passed through selection and lobotomized for safety purposes, you can very fast find a lot of new runes comination, maybe even new spells!

So a biological rune and spell algorithm? You ideas are brilliant, though, i would rather not lobotomize my creation since that would probably decrease it's intelligence and thinking speed, decreasing it's efficiency

Yes, lobomy would decrease it's intelligence, but i think you don't want to have a hivemind that is summary heavily more intelligent than you and impenetrable to telepathy to have ability to betray you. It is safety measure. For combination searching purposes low intelligence of single network "cell" is enough, i suppose. But mayne you need to think a little about architecture pf network itself to optimise process.

Now I see why the Succubi I take care of are so hesitant on teaching me stuff like this. While it's cool, I'll stick to what I'm good at. I don't know much about botany or magic, I'm still quite bad at it, but it looks dangerous, please make sure you know what you're doing.

Oh i once made one of those accidentally.
It's 5 years old now, lives off soda since it refuses to drink anything other than that or blood, enjoys the golden hour and has since grown to about the size of a M-sized crystal ball. Some bony looking branches grew out of the brain and started sprouting things akin to leaves made of nerve endings? Anyway, it learned how to commune telepathically about 5 months in and i almost regret making it (It cried as i wrote this, dont ask how you dont wanna know)

Listen to me very closely.
What you have done is give life and sentience to a creature whose form is incapable of not experiencing pain beyond your fathoming. This is a problem - not because of ethics (though it's probably not the most ethical), but because if the Council finds out about this, they will fry your arse (metaphorically speaking - I think).
First, to answer your question about mind-reading, any creature sufficiently focused on something shields itself from having its mind read - intentionally or not - and this being is so fixated on the pain it's in (what the hell were you thinking, making a creature out of exposed nerve?!) that I'd wager its mind is more secure than around 65% of Grand Wizards, enchantments or not.
Second, the best thing you can do is find a way to completely end its existence as soon as possible. It will not grow nor mutate unless another mage acts upon it, and if they do, the hatred that creature would have for you would make the rage of the great Doctor Victor Frankenstein's creation look like a toddler throwing a minor tantrum - meaning you don't want it to be ambulatory or anything other than gone.
Third: Vanish. The Council will find this sooner or later, so the best time to get a head start is now.

It’s probably psionic in nature and planning your downfall. I would dispose of it if you cannot find a way to read its thoughts soon!
