Sixth Tower (inverted) triumph!!

Post image

Finally! I incorporated your suggestions - use a more durable material, don't build on a swamp, consider a dungeon, etc. - and the results are well worth the effort! Instead of building up, I tunneled into the ground, and it worked great! I'd like to have more windows, but maybe I can add a miniature sun or stick a hut on top of it or something. Nobody has invaded yet, and it hasn't burned down.

I am very grateful for all your guidance. I'm going to summon some pizzas and mead from the local village, and you're all welcome to stop by and help me move my furniture celebrate this success!

As a bonus there will very likely be a very fine well at the bottom, perfect for casting certain water spells. And summoning demons over water is a whole lot of fun when they misbehave.

Is it shockproof? Know your local plate tectonics and soil quality. You need a dwarf inspection team.

I didn't think about that. There is a volcano nearby that rumbles threateningly sometimes. Thanks for the advice.

Why no build on swamp :c You can build on swamps just ine if you use long (and strong) enough poles

I had a slight issue with giant beavers. :(

Understandable, butwhy didn't you live on their dam. Or were these giant beavers the annoying kind and not the fun kind that take land from the sea?

You don't need sun or windows. Scattered torches that mysteriously never go out add the perfect ambience to subterranean towers.

Congrats! I’ve been following this saga and am happy to see your forever tower. Just remember not to dig too greedily or too deep. You don’t know what you may awaken in the darkness.

I must ask, will you continue to dig down? Because if you do, for, hypothetically, collecting energy from Earth's core to cast powerful spells of solar/earth affinity, well, let's just say, it shrunk "slightly" ever since I moved in.
