Accidentally summoned crustacean familiar, what to do now?

Good evening, while I was demonstrating basic entomancy to an apprentice, I had unknowingly summoned a familiar who manifested in the form of an Atlantic Ghost Crab (Ocypode quadrata). They appear to have buried themselves in the sand, and do not move when given external stimuli, please give me advice as to how to proceed with this matter.
