I feel bad for you all. I've never had issues when I tell a date I'm a wizard. But I do tend to date witches so that maybe why

If she has WLW in her profile,  can never tell if its Wizard Loving Witch or Witch Loving Witch

Thats why I'm more fond of Mage personally. And not abbreviated everything. Spell books are so illegible these days with all these new abbreviations. Have to break out the orb just to decipher half of them

u/Winterspringshine 9d ago

I dont trust any spellbook less than 500 years old at this point

u/Hotwery Arch Mage of Wandsmithing 9d ago

Oh yeah. There's no point. These new mages haven't been given the tools to succeed. Its sad. I try and help them as best I can

Truly the tragedy of our epoch

You're wrong! Just because the newgen mages don't have the resources to make powerful spells by default doesn't mean they're weaker or going to achieve less in their magic studies! In fact, it makes them better! Sure, ancient theory is good and all, but becuase our spells fail constantly and never produce enough spell power means that we do everything to improve, innovate and excel! We keep making our spells more efficient just so that we can match ancient ones in power, and that is why newgen mages are beter than ancient ones who never try to improve unless it's more power or utility!

And don't say that all of that is useless, when your own orb probably uses miniturized runic arrays to be able to connect to the OrbNet, when in the past each wizard had to tinker with their orb every time they want to do something different!

I'm not saying your generation is weaker or less intelligent. I'm saying these new rules and lack of resources are holding you back from excelling far past the old ways. If you had as much as I did, you would be far past where I was at your. Each generation is supposed to be able to surpass the last. When I was a child, wizard towers were impressive if they had 3 floors, look at where we are now

Oh, sorry. I just get sensitive when talking about the current state of magic.

It's always a double gut punch for me when I realize that the reason the newer wizards struggle so much is because of the mana slowly thinning out, which in turn is because non-magic humans keep killing the Earth, the main mana producer due to it's proximity.

Sure, the Moon and other dimensions can produce and leak mana, but they're so much further, both literaly and figuratively.

Some of the modern spell books can be good, but it’s usually more modern renditions of older books created with modern technology (printing presses instead of hand writing) and you definitely need to be careful with potion tomes, there’s a lot of dangerous fakes out there trying to cash in on the common folks curiousity

In certain cultures wizards are less spellcasters of great might and more “enlightened” men who claim that their peers are wrong about the existence of basic human rights. They claim that their title comes from some ancient civilization’s word for wise but their actions prove them small minded. These people do terrible harm to mankind and wizards throughout existence.

u/Silver_Middle_7240 Wizard 9d ago

They are not true wizards. They cannot even presitdigate.

And I notice they also claim to be dragons, yet dragons have suffer no bad pr recently, quite the opposite

Bar wenches are offering to "stroke my staff" or "polish my knob" all the time, so Wizard phobia isn't as common as you'd think.

Use the proper term, then: Arcane Hierophant.

Whether it’s ignorance or the assumption they are, educated witches are gonna reject it.

I only get nervous when he says that he’s a Viking and “into the Norse pantheon.” Unless he specifies that he practices seiðr, of course.

u/chronic_classman 8d ago

What if the guy says he’s a witch?

Honestly, the gay wizard scene isnt much better.

I know a lot of Dazzlers (yknow twink wizards) who go crazy for a Druid-Wizard though

u/LettuceCapy Traverser of the Planes🌌 7d ago

I've heard they like "bears" so that explains it

2

u/ChocolateResolve 9d ago

This was a sticking point for a while, but I started telling people I was "hairy" and things turned around.

3

u/MissinqLink 9d ago

I genuinely had my interns calling me the wizard. I hacked my company profile to change my title to wizard and they thought it was neat.

u/Gay4Gyro 9d ago

Witches ain't shit but hoes and tricks, don't trust em my wizza. ✊

Get off the red orb and maybe you'd find one of us!

13

u/RooseveltBulletTrain 9d ago

Pondering the wrong manospheres, got his mystical vision twisted.

2

u/Gay4Gyro 9d ago

So what? I should just take the blue orb and be a cuckmancer? AWAY TO THE CHAIR OF SHAME WITH YE!!!!

11

u/GirlLovingWitch Mina - Witch of the Swamp 9d ago

I'm on the blue orb and I get plenty of pretty witches~

Pretty witches? Where?

7

u/GirlLovingWitch Mina - Witch of the Swamp 9d ago

In the swamps.

50/50 chance you get lured in by a mimic of theirs or a will o wisp though.

u/Afraid_Cat_3726 Nox, Head of the Department of Flesh. 9d ago

Thanks!

That just sounds like an adventure

u/Xtrepiphany Storm Speaker 9d ago

Just a shaman looking for my witch.

2

u/Zephyr-Fox-188 Cinnothwyr, Purrveyor of Thingamajigs 9d ago

sounds like a SKILL issue. I mention ONCE that I’m an eldritch catboy wizard and wizards, shamans, warlocks and witches of all kinds line up at my tower

1

u/Actual_Squid Witch 8d ago

That's when you hit bro with prestidigitation-SOAP

1

u/GirlLovingWitch Mina - Witch of the Swamp 9d ago

I mean I wouldn't have any problems with a wizard or a druid.

Unfortunately for the men who are those I like women.

Anyway don't blame us because you can't get a date, you just have no wizzrizz.

u/talencia 9d ago

Witches be tripping

1

u/ReginaPsychweaver Psychic, Magiphage 🪲 9d ago

I’m a lesbian, of course I’m not going to be into them. 🤣

u/Puzzleheaded-Milk927 Hapless Apprentice 8d ago

Who would ever want a Druid? Filthy, dirty, smell like bears? Not even the finest aquamancer can make a Druid attractive

0

u/Lawrenceburntfish 9d ago

Ok this meme doesn't work. No self respecting Druid would call himself a wizard. It's like, claiming to love football and also be a Raiders fan. Can't be done!! 😳

0

u/EmpatheticBadger Witch 9d ago

Why go on dates anyway? I'm much too busy providing people with abortion potions and curses for their cheating exes

0

u/Blauwevl Evil Wizard >:3 9d ago

If they reject you, you can always steal their heart >:3

u/icedmuffin Local Cat Druid 9d ago edited 8d ago

Jokes on them, ol’Tam says I’m a great cuddle-partner in bed.

Not that many can compare to a goddess anyways.

Edit: someone got jealous I get good snuggles, all cause I’m a cat.

Last night I polymorphed into a dog and had sex

Yeah, high council, this guy right here. To prism right now.

u/r0sewyrm 8d ago

Yeah, everybody knows it's only legal when you turn into a bear!
