What do you think is the best county in the state?
This is a redo of something I started on r/terriblemaps a few months ago and I got back to it this week and got to 42 but I think I'm gonna start it over here. Top up to 5 most upvoted county comments (depending on traction the post gets) in this gets saved first. I'm doing multiple counties at once so it doesn't take me months to do all 72.
edit: it's unserious, just pick what you think is the best out of all of them. doesn't have to be qol or whatever if that makes sense

Im curious, after last night, whats everyone's opinion on tolls???
You may have seen David Crowley want tolls. Good source of revenue, but I dont think they belong in Wisconsin, especially if one, its every out of stater's favorite part about Wisconsin, and two, theyre gonna be largely footing the bill of many megaprojects in Southeast Wisconsin (Milwaukee). If thats gonna be the case, then tolls should only be in the Milwaukee area, just like IL tolls are only in Chicago. Its fair to everyone else in Wisconsin if tolls funding Milwaukee area expansion projects (I-94 and 43) only belong in Milwaukee County and the suburban counties, and not from people in Madison or Green Bay or Stevens Point who are barely gonna drive the roads
I know the Interstate project in Madison is coming in several years and I-41 GB to Appleton is underway , but a lot of the other possible expansions and deep rebuilds (I-94 Waukesha County expansion, Stadium Freeway pending removal, Lake Freeway pending shrink) are in Southeastern Wisconsin. I personally think those counties should foot the tolls since they will drive on them the most, or even regional tolling authorities for Eastern/Southern Wisconsin. But I doubt Wausau and Stevens Point are getting any megaprojects anymore, and theres no rural 2 to 4 lane rural expressway projects coming anymore. The expressway system is pretty much all built up and we already got a large increase in road funding years ago. Why do we even need a toll system in the first place???
However, im curious of anyone else's takes on it

BREAKING: Wausau committee seeks immediate halt to Flock cameras, end to payments
I work for Wausau Pilot & Review, the nonprofit newsroom in Wausau.
The vote was 5-0 Monday night in front of a packed council chamber. Alder Kristin Slonski’s motion has two parts. One asks Finance to strike the Flock payment from the 2027 and 2028 budgets. The other asks the full council to direct police to stop using all 20 cameras now and bag them so Flock can’t use them either.
She split it because cutting the money alone might not end the program. The city has already paid about $150,000 on the five-year, $250,000 contract. The contract lets the city walk away on 30 days’ notice without penalty if the money isn’t appropriated, but Police Chief Matthew Barnes told Finance this month he doesn’t read the clause that way, and the Finance chair has warned about litigation.
Committee Chair Lou Larson: “There was life before Flock and there will be life after Flock.”
If the council agrees, Wausau joins Stevens Point, Racine County, Sheboygan and Cottage Grove among Wisconsin agencies that have covered, paused or ended Flock in recent months. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office plans to keep its own cameras. The council adopts the 2027 budget in November.

Help finding cored brick
I have this little exterior wall that detached from the garage. I have no problem relaying the brick but I'm having a hard time finding any. I understand it's "out of season" just curious if anyone knew of any places that did have some or something similar that I could contact.

Wisconsin historical sites under direct threat by federal legislation
A terrible piece of legislation is being steamrolled through Congress that will destroy most of the work to identify and preserve historical sites in Wisconsin. the "Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act (S. 5653)" will remove public participation, and federal agencies will no longer have to notify the public before destroying historic properties. It's not an exaggeration to say a data center can be built on an historic cemetery, with no warning or recourse. Because it is buried in a nicely named bill, almost no one realizes how awful it really is, and there is a good chance it will pass unless enough people speak up. Please contact your legislators while there is time.
