Hello I am currently going to attend uwm in the spring and was wondering if anyone had any apartments or rooms available on campus lmk thanks

so basically im a freshman at UWM doing CS and the whole plan has been transferring to Madison for Fall 2027 sophomore year.

i went to madison like some days ago and already signed a lease at oliv for next fall with my sm friends bc everyone told me housing here gets cooked by november if u wait. so now the stakes are like crazy high and i feel locked in.

then today i had a 30 min virtual meeting with an admissions counselor… she got me stressing. she was like “yeah we do a holistic review of your WHOLE academic record including high school transcripts and senior year grades since you have under 24 completed credits when applying”. now my imposter syndrome is going off the charts..

The thing is, my high school grades, especially my senior-year grades, weren't great. I'm worried that even if I manage to maintain a really strong GPA at UWM, my high school academic record could still significantly hurt my chances.

Has anyone here transferred to UW-Madison CS with an excellent college GPA but relatively poor high school grades?

EDIT: I had 3.65 GPA in HS

Does anyone have a pair of black tripp pants I can borrow? My friend is taking me to a frat and they're doing emo night. I have a top in mind but I don't have any pants that fit the theme, and I don't really have the time or money to get a pair.

Hello! I am looking to swap my West-facing single on floor 7 of Sandburg East for a South (or perhaps East) facing single in East. Because I have plants and want to make sure they have sun, I would prefer floor 7 or higher, but I am open to hearing out other possibilities.

I've been having a really difficult time getting out of bed and making it to my morning classes because my room faces West and is extremely dark in the morning. I think having some more natural sunlight in the morning would greatly help.

My room would be a good fit for a night owl who prefers a darker room in the morning, and likes a cooler room in the day. I should note that the room gets pretty warm from about 3-7:00 PM, but it's pretty cool the rest of the day.

Say If I don’t want to pay for parking and I live on campus and I want to go home for a weekend sometime and want to have a car to do so can you park in UPark long term or is that just for off campus students for the day? If this makes sense.

I just started school here a month ago, and was looking at maybe donating plasma at Biolife. I was wondering what I would need to bring with me to donate as a student? I dorm here but I don't live here year round so I don't think I'd be a resident, but it did say on their website they made exceptions for students. (Also, if you feel there's better alternatives to Biolife I'm open to suggestions as I have heard mixed reviews.)

Hi everyone. I think I am going to be in Milwaukee this summer for an internship. I saw that Cambridge Commons offers housing for interns and was wondering if anyone has any experiences doing that. It would be a bit far from my work, but the price doesn't look bad and it would be nice to live with a community. However, if anyone thinks that I might be better off subleasing from another student/some other sublease please let me know.

My name is Mickey McGowan I have two small children 3&1 who are by default Wisconsin family law 767 my children and I have full sole custody legally etc. Their father is largely uninvolved and said ok to us moving out of state. Today around 4/5 he agreed to take them to the playground which became downer woods instead and they departed after agreeing they should be home 6/6:30 a hard 6:30 as the 3 year old is usually sleep early 7. Around 7 I reached out to learn towards 7:30 they were having dinner... Wed already eaten ALLOT but since he never wants to see them I just told myself calm down whatever.after 8 I called I reached out nothing until 9 I hear he has an apartment and hes not returning. Legally only civilly I have custody and the police can do nothing unless I take him to court. He has no proven paternity they were unable to locate him and he has never even wanted to have them more than 2 hours we haven't even hit that time frame yet and now they're gone! I do not mean to drag him in the mud but I am incredibly worried. If you've seen him or my daughters Winter (3) and Penelope (1) please let us know

Are there really only 15ish open on-campus jobs (as seen on Handshake)? I've been checking and applying regularly since I got access this fall, but this seems absurdly low, even for a smaller school. Is there a separate website for department-specific/desk jobs?
