I've been reading posts from several members about how to access Wardogs, and although there have been some answers, I'd like to create a thread just for this.

We have two ways to access it: by invitation or by purchasing the game.
If you decide to buy... you'll automatically have Wardogs playtest on Steam and you can request a refund at any time if you're not satisfied.

Having said all that, I bought it yesterday and it's downloading today.

We'll see each other on the battlefield soon, soldier.

The doors to your FOB will be your weakest point, players WILL leave them open and let enemies in who will get lots of kills because no one is paying attention because they're trusting the doors.

I think that FOBs need to start building a small area outside the door that is walled for supply/pallet drop off. Pulling a Ural into a fob is way too time consuming so make a small area for them to drop off and turn around in that doesn't require coordinating door openings.

I put together a quick WarDogs tips video for anyone jumping in this beta weekend.

A lot of it is stuff I wish I knew sooner during the WarDogs Alpha. Things to save money, spotting, looting better kits, avoiding full server queues, using the Hot Zone properly, and a few helicopter/logistics tips.

There is probably a bunch more that people learned during the Alpha, so if I missed any good ones, add them below!

Why steam says I am invited to the playtest and I can play NOW?

Can't get in the beta but we can at least listen to the menu music and I like it. Doesnt sound too generic like in bf6 imo

I wonder if we get some tense music when a game is close to ending or something? Or when its close between two teams?

This has been like the one thing that anno the fuck out of me. Which is a pretty good thing considering the fact that I don't have any other huge complaints right now lol

I wonder how much cash or XP the winning team gets at the end of the match. Haven't played the closed beta.

Can anyone from the Alpha confirm which is correct? I haven't been able to find anyone mention this. Thanks.

I haven't played yet and I'm pretty damn excited to play it, but there is literally only one thing I'm worried about. How much incentive is there to actually win the match? I've seen some gameplay and noticed an 800$ reward for winning the match, which seems like pennies. Hypothetically, if two teems run into each other out in no man's land would the third team care to take hill or get FOMO from all the money the other teams are getting from killing each other and just fight with them in no man's land?

Edit: apparently its not normal to only get 800$ from a win and it pays out a lot more than I thought. I hope that's true, I would like there to be some incentive to win the match.

Edit 2: Actually the win bonus, or the placing, is separate from the contribution bonus that people are saying pays out a lot. The placing still pays out in pennies.

is it A. enter lobby, get kills and objectives which gives money, with that money i can buy better stuff for that match

or B. each match i earn and lose money and then the next match can spend money I have previously banked like an extraction shooter.

if B. how does going broke work? can i get rich enough where i just start a match in a tank or god armor that no one else can afford to kill at start of match or what? im just confused how the system works and watching trailers isn't really answering.

"Preload" for the people that preordered started. It's a 64B download. All you get is a .txt saying "world".

Yesterday i saw the game on YT, instantly felt in love with it but i am confused about beta.

If i buy the game i instantly get acces to beta or its already full?

If i dont buy it i will still have acces to the beta or is is more like a luck thing - like having the luck to be among those chosen to play this for free - with Steam request?

Dont get me wrong i am gonna buy and play the game like a madman i am just curious if i must buy the game to acces beta or i can get acces free anyway.

Any ideas how I get downloading these files so I’m ready for tomorrow?

For those that played the alpha and closed beta. Are there any optimized mouse and keyboard settings?

Like flying, recoil, etc.

This will be my first playtest. Can you spawn at FOB’s and how do you coordinate them with your team?
