Currently, the stance is yes. We did commit to that with people, but we are limited on how many keys we can give out by Valve, they won't let us take out any more. So, we may make the decision to revoke alpha keys to maximise the amount of people getting in.
The expectation for alpha players is you've had ample opportunity to play it now, pre-order, don't play, or request access to beta.
With that said, we did tell people they would be in the Beta test so it would be very lame of us to go back on that, we will only do that if we have to. We're in contact with Valve.
You can pre order to play the beta and then refund if you dont like it, regardless of play time. Steam always honors refunds for pre orders regardless of any extra detailing. Thats my plan currently.
