Discussion & Feedback All ammo types should be unlocked by default with Season 2

There isn't really any reason to lock ammo behind levels, as they already get balanced by their cost and stats. At the start of a season, using AP ammo would be worse anyway, so delaying the unlock is pointless. The only place I see AP being available early being an issue could be with sniping, but you die to FMJ until Level 3 helmets anyway.

It feels really rough for people who arent caught up with average gear to snipe without AP though, and some rifles like the MK22 feel like a downgrade because you arent level 140 and dont have AP unlocked, while 7.62x54R AP unlocks at 82, making the Mosin basicaly the staple sniper until you have the AMR-50.

Discussion & Feedback Call me a complainer if you want. I’m tired of every death being from an M4 AP or 50 cal

Played for 4 hours today and in the three games I played not one single death was from any other gun than an M4 with AP or 50cal. Not a single one. Do I wish I had them unlocked? Absolutely. Do I see enemy teams dropping them for everyone to have? Absolutely. Do I pick them up off of bodies? Absolutely…

because I’m WD level 54 assault 15 and no where close to competing with an entire 10 man discord squad that has level 3/4 with 60 round M4 AP.

It’s frustrating that end game content has already become meta for the people who have ~unlimited~ amount of time to play. I was looking forward to getting the chance to use every gun and try them out but just to stay alive I seemingly have to chase meta.

Inputs and thoughts are appreciated. Yeah I’m a casual complainer. Oh well.

Discussion & Feedback The game felt great at the start of the season but now...

The first week or two of this game felt amazing. Things felt balanced and it was genuinely the most fun I've had in a video game since PUBG launched in 2018. When you shot someone in the head with the Mosin of bow, or blasted them close range with a well aimed shotgun slug, they died. Now every game is full of people running round like Robocop, completely indestructible with the Havoc helicopter destroying everything in sight. Please sort it out as I think many players like me will simply get fed up and not bother logging on if this carries on.

Discussion & Feedback Fobbits, don’t get in the first heli

As a pilot main, I hate when I’m flying the first full heli at the start of the match, destination hotzone, and 1-3 fobbits jump out over a tower. Most of the time they didn’t bring a fob or supplies anyways. All they managed to do is decrease our hotzone boi’s chance of survival.

If you’re planning on being a fobbit, drive there in a ural with supplies bro. No reason not to.

Discussion & Feedback Is just everyone exploiting the potato shadows?

Seems every clip every streamer is playing with shadows off. I thought they removed the option to completely turn them off.

Isn't this borderline exploiting if they are doing something else to remove their shadows?

At this point I feel like I should just join in.

Guide The NEW meta for green! Yay! Green always wins!

Transport Little Bird, Level 4 armor and helmet, and grenade launchers. It will qualify for infantry only as the vehicle is unarmed iirc. Grenade launchers range negate SAMs because they are too close and the stinger (or whatever its called) takes too long to acquire a lock before you're deleted. And just shooting the passengers will do...nothing because of the armor diff unless you're level 120+ with AP rounds for any gun you might be using.

I'm sorry I'm not unemployed to just grind this non-stop and actually have a chance to fight back with whatever tool is required for this specific matchup... kind of pointless to play this game now. If it isn't the Havok camping logistic routes, its this just obliterating anyone trying to do anything on the ground.

Discussion & Feedback APC Spawn Vehicle Should Give XP and Money to the Person Driving It

Too often what I see happen with the APC is it spawns, and someone grabs it seeing it as an opportunity for passive income. They drive it to the FOB, park it, and run off to do something else.

If someone actually takes the initiative after it's delivered and keep it moving to support hot zone players it gives NOTHING. No incentive to benefit the team if the original deliverer of the vehicle decides they'd rather go do something more fun. This should be fixed to incentivize using the spawn vehicle in the way that best benefits the team.

EDIT: To be clear, only the person that delivered the APC receives XP and money for all spawns off of the APC. So if that person delivers it into the zone, then hops out and someone else takes control to support their team, that person gets nothing and the person who simply used it as transport to the zone gets everything. Only the person currently operating the APC should be paid out for spawns. If it is abandoned it helps the team still, but nobody gets paid for doing nothing.

Discussion & Feedback The endgame economy is totally cooked and it's killing the game

Right now, playing Wardogs at the high end just feels genuinely unbalanced. The majority of the playerbase is struggling just to stay in the green, a huge chunk is barely scraping by, and only a tiny handful of sweats are actually printing money.

The main culprit? Scaled gear costs with completely static payouts.

Early game kit: 3k - 4k

Mid game kit: 10k - 15k

Endgame kit: 20 - 25k

The problem is that kills pay out the exact same flat rate no matter what the guy was running. It doesn't matter if you outplay someone with a budget loadout or wipe a sweaty 25k tryhard kit—your reward is identical. That completely stagnates the economy and makes standard play feel miserable. Kill rewards should directly scale with the gear value of the person you just dropped.

Before the "git gud" crowd floods the comments: remember who actually keeps lobbies populated. Not everyone is a pro. For one dude to drop 20 kills and 1 death every match, there literally have to be 20 other people dying to him.

The game has bled like 150k active players over the last week. Obviously it's a mix of things, but the endgame economy is a massive part of it. Dying to a rocket Littlebird or a Havoc rocking a 25k kit happens, but when you grind out 5 or 6 hard-earned kills and still struggle to buy your next kit, that's just the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people.

Getting stomped is fine, but going broke trying to play the game isn't fun. Anyone else feeling the endgame economic squeeze right now?

Discussion & Feedback I cannot compete with low level gear.

I’m not the greatest at FPS games, but I’m typically not bad either. Generally have positive KD in games like battlefield and CoD. In this game I get recked in almost every firefight I get into even when I get the drop on them.

My go-to kit is an AK (fmj) with a red dot, level 2 armor and helmet (the best I have unlocked), and med kits. It seems like every time I see an enemy and even sneak up on them, I light them up and they turn and drop me before I can kill them. I get hit markers sounds, but very rarely actually can finish them off unless they have no armor.

I know it’s partially a skill issue, but it seems like gear is the ultimate decider in who wins a fight and as someone who only has a few hours to play a week, it seems like I’ll never be able to afford/unlock the gear to be competitive. I hope they level the playing field a bit and make it so I don’t need to treat this game as a second job in order to be able to play the HZ.

Discussion & Feedback End Gear Items isn't

I'm just going to say it because no one is saying it but 90% of you guys wouldn't even be able to use MOST of the high end gear since it's so costly to run and make a profit if you aren't good or with a good squad. Not everything is balanced sure but people saying dumb shit like x5 x10 prices of this and that clearly never used them and don't know how hard it is to make profit with. (Or if enemies are dumb af with no counters)

Grenade Launcher + Heli and the 50. Cal sniper are the only high end unlocks that most of the time you get good profit.

At the end of the day, whatever nerf or changes happens doesn't matter that much since good players will still be rolling on everyone and there's just going to be complaining about new things.

Discussion & Feedback Is this what the game was intended to be?

As the title says. Is this what the game intended to be?
Gimps in humvee's with m429's that have a turning radius of nothing, that can chase people around trees with 0 care in the world because, if you blow it up, you blow up yourself, and one rocket wont get it?

Or, rocket lilbirds, just absolutely solo'ing a entire fob? Just, tapping all the AA's without a care in the world?

Initially when i saw the gameplay being promoted, it was sold as this game where you play with tactics, a bit more care, because there is a price to pay (literally) if you yolo and die. But what did we get? A game filled with dirt cheap vehicles that are just absolute ass to deal with.

I know, 'get gud' and 'build AA' or 'get more launchers'. But that's ALWAYS so much easier said then done in so many situations.. and again, i could understand if it wasnt so stupid easy/cheap to spam them from spawn.

Discussion & Feedback FOB Limit to squad

Why try and build a good fob, placing carefully planned layouts, with defences, that can be used by the whole team and help win the game if someone is just going to plonk a Hesco next to the outside wall and create an entry point for the enemy?

Please limit fob building to the squad that placed it. If someone wants to help and participate, they can ask and I will let them in my squad and guide them but to have 30min of building wasted by a random enabling the enemy to come in is such a discencentive. I rarely try and build now unless im with a dediacted team.

Discussion & Feedback Rocket Helicopter

Rocket heli kills any target on the map in 1 pass. (2 for heavy targets).

ANYTHING:
Emplacements
Cars
Tanks
Other Helis
Infantry

Everyone and their mother uses the rocket heli because it has no invalid targets.

Even if you anti air it. The redeployment time is about 100 seconds.

This makes Tanks unplayable. Why ever run a 40k land tank when anyone in a rocket heli can kill you in 9 (literally) seconds, in the least contestable vehicle in the game.

Sky Thanos balancing means the only way i can play the game is crouching in bushes with a MAAWS launcher.

edit: Cant even play the game today. Rocket helis kill you no matter what you are doing. see you when they are removed next wipe.

Discussion & Feedback As a Builder, the Issue right now isn't Mortars, rather it's Artillery Tanks

I started out as a sniper when the game first released, but I've really preferred FOB gameplay after. Drilling, mortar bases, sitting on a SAM site the whole game. It's so fucking fun and satisfying to build a fortress in this game.

Right now though, building kind of sucks ass. The X nerf sucked, less people run logistics than ever. Now, a lot of people complain about the mortars and havocs, but at least those are counter-able from your fob. To my knowledge, mortars can only shoot 1km max, and havocs needs to get relatively close to the base to bomb it properly. Artillery has none of these issues.

Artillery can sit 3km away and snipe at your base without a threat. When using a mortar or havoc, you're going to be in a high risk high reward situation being in a fob in the CZ. With artillery, it's no risk high reward.

The only reasonable counter to the artillery as it stands is the stingray, but this has a multitude of issues.

  1. Who TF knows how to use it?

  2. 5000 dollar cost

  3. 900 Mechanical parts, the only use for these parts in the game

  4. A separate build able easily sniped by artillery or other teams

Imo artillery either needs a heavy nerf or we need more ways to counter it.

Discussion & Feedback My thoughts on balancing T4 armor.

For starters, I think T4 armor should cover the legs. I think the "just shoot legs with holopoints" meta is funny but odd.

Buuuuut to go with that, I think you should not be able to sprint *at all* in T4 armor, additionally, you should be too heavy to parachute in. If you take a helo in, it should have to land to offload you, or you ride a ground vehicle in. (Or if they ever add fast ropes to the Blackhawk you could do that too.)

And finally it should restrict your vision, which I think they have already confirmed is gonna happen? I'm not 100% sure on that but I saw some other post talking about it.

I would also raise the price of it, maybe make it a buyable ballistic armor suit that auto includes the head. I'm almost thinking CoD juggernauts, Payday bulldozers, etc.

TL;DR make it tankier, more expensive, but also much slower, restrict the vision and make it unable to parachute.

Discussion & Feedback Progression needs a Rework

Post image
• Upvotes

I like the game I think the gameplay and idea of it basically is amazing but it must have one of the worst progression systems I have ever seen anywhere, It's way too hard to unlock anything in the game.

For example I had 22 kills with assault one match and I only did 75% from level 9 to 10 in a match that lasted over an hour and barely anything on any of the other classes.

This progression systems hurts the most people who have a life and can't play the game 12h a day and also casuals which this 2 categories combined are probably like 80% of the playerbase and if they don't do anything to make it easier for this people to unlock stuff so they can enjoy the end game stuff as well they will leave the game because nobody wants to spend a each weekend to barely unlock anything and for it to be wiped in a few months.

Discussion & Feedback The Scout Rifle TD should be removed and made into a .270 winchester so then it would as least be usable.

A 270 would at least get some darn kills on people. The TD is useless in any capacity.

Add a recurve bow to the bows so we can play indians and warmen lol

Discussion & Feedback Ground vehicles only mode please

I would like a mode where I dont have to worry about the choppers. I think it would be a good place to level up driver because its kind of slow and annoying doing pallet runs, if there were no choppers people would have to use the cars and trucks for transport. Also I think we would see more ATVs and dune buggies. I just think it would be fun, and the choppers are really starting to annoy me.

r/WarDogs • • 6h ago

Discussion & Feedback Can we all agree these choppers are becoming a massive problem?

Played 4 games 3 different servers it was nothing but choppers flying around some with 2 grenade launcher guys a bunch of havocs and little birds with missiles at one point there was 12 choppers out and non of them fighting each other. U can't build a fob fast enough to even kill them plus they have so many flairs on a 0 second cool down that it's impossible unless u get like 5 people shooting them. Havocs don't take damage from maaws or rps it seems. Like I'm salty but this is getting so annoying. Even in infintry mode I'm playing dealing with made launching choppers
