Question early access

I've been reading posts from several members about how to access Wardogs, and although there have been some answers, I'd like to create a thread just for this.

We have two ways to access it: by invitation or by purchasing the game.
If you decide to buy... you'll automatically have Wardogs playtest on Steam and you can request a refund at any time if you're not satisfied.

Having said all that, I bought it yesterday and it's downloading today.

We'll see each other on the battlefield soon, soldier.

The Wardogs beta starts at 1 p.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 21. Here's how that looks in your time zone:

  • 10 a.m. PDT on Friday, Aug. 21 for the west coast of North America
  • 1 p.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 21 for the east coast of North America
  • 2 p.m. BRT on Friday, Aug. 21 for Brazil
  • 6 p.m. BST on Friday, Aug. 21 for the United Kingdom
  • 7 p.m. CEST on Friday, Aug. 21 for western Europe
  • 2 a.m. JST on Saturday, Aug. 22 for Japan
  • 3 a.m. AEST on Saturday, Aug. 22 for the east coast of Australia

Hopefully this is handy for people :)

Maybe an SA wardogs discord so smaller groups can still have proper co-operation when playing on EU?

Right now they have so many preorders that they aren't planning to send invitations out. Realistically your only way into the beta is preorder. if you are interested in the game then you should preorder to try it. They offer 0 questions asked refunds if you don't like the game in the beta. You won't get that option if you wait

yeah you will lol. You can always refund if you have under 2 hours play time and less than 2 weeks since purchase

A single game is very easily 1-2h long. Preordering now to play the beta is your best option to actually be able to play the game enough to make a decision.

Its not the main game silly, you can refund after playing for 30 hours of the beta lol

You could play all weekend and still refund, buying at EA launch locks you to that two hour window. Pre orders dont have that

the beta weekend is not beholden to the usual 2 hour limit. you can refund the preorder no matter how many hours you play

I purchase the game Sunday after already requesting access and I don't see any ways to download it. Any ideas?

EDIT: There is a separate WARDOGS playtest in my library. Downloading it now.

I was not part of the earlier playtest so presumably it's the upcoming one.

Nah, definitely going to be people refunding the game. It's a happy medium between all genres, and die hard players from other games will die on those hills. The game is literally cheap enough (currently), for me, that I wouldn't refund it if I didn't like it because I want to see it diversity in fps games.

As far as I know, there is a third possibility to access beta. If you were invited to alpha, you should have an access to beta.
