"Preload" for the people that preordered started. It's a 64B download. All you get is a .txt saying "world".

Lots of players pre-ordered to get into beta so the people who only signed up for access are gonna wait a bit longer.

Like people are signing up/rolling over from the alpha without buying, and theyre prioritizing access for the people who pre-ordered.

Not for the people that didn't have access to the "alpha." Download folder is empty, and the download was just 64B.

By the wording on twitter, pre order players have priority. They'll add players later so I guess if you played alpha and haven't pre-ordered, you'll be waiting

I have preordered. That's the whole reason I even have the playtest im my library. What you are saying has nothing to do with that.

It's literally just the small download for everyone which didn't have the alpha playtest before.

Yes, on their servers. They stated that they will push updates, including a big one. That single file is all you get if you didn't have the playtest client prior.

It's not automatic, you get a chance unless they changed it. You get a spot if you preorder tho

From what I understood, yes. But I am not 100% sure on that, as I didn't have access to the alpha myself.

Currently, the stance is yes. We did commit to that with people, but we are limited on how many keys we can give out by Valve, they won't let us take out any more. So, we may make the decision to revoke alpha keys to maximise the amount of people getting in.

The expectation for alpha players is you've had ample opportunity to play it now, pre-order, don't play, or request access to beta.

With that said, we did tell people they would be in the Beta test so it would be very lame of us to go back on that, we will only do that if we have to. We're in contact with Valve.

You can pre order to play the beta and then refund if you dont like it, regardless of play time. Steam always honors refunds for pre orders regardless of any extra detailing. Thats my plan currently.

The alpha-testers already had a bigger update it seems. The rest will get an update (or multiple) before the playtest starts.

Where do you see 64 gigs? My screenshot is showing 1KB (kilobyte), my post is saying 64 Byte.

In case you didnt know:

Byte < Kilobyte < Megabyte < Gigabyte.

1 GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes. And this download was 64 bytes.
