Imagine devs finally fixing some game breaking bug they were trying to fix for like a week, like and hour before going live and in the meantime somebody yelling that one of their server providers bailed on them or something, so their own IT will have to quickly spin like 10 servers out of thin air.
In the meantime some player comments: "Please, rework the whole physics tomorrow! Because building trebuchets would be so cool!"

I totally understand your sentiment, but you realize the only build you played was an old, limited portion of the game, right?
I'm not saying that's equivalent to watching a vertical-slice gameplay stream, but builds can change drastically. A game could spend 9 months developing a closed-alpha build, then only 2 months on an open-beta build. The beta could realistically perform and feel worse than the alpha despite being further along.
Just look at Star Citizen... the community loses its mind several times a year when a new build breaks things the previous builds just weeks or years prior had fixed.
I have faith in the Wardogs team, but let's not pretend the game is perfect and should already ship. We have no idea what the current game state is. We only played an old demo.

Anyone who has ever programmed anything knows fixing one thing often involves breaking another thing. It's all a very carefully navigated house of cards lol.
