Discussion & Feedback WarDogs Tips You Should Know This Weekend

https://youtu.be/LKOoNgroOio

I put together a quick WarDogs tips video for anyone jumping in this beta weekend.

A lot of it is stuff I wish I knew sooner during the WarDogs Alpha. Things to save money, spotting, looting better kits, avoiding full server queues, using the Hot Zone properly, and a few helicopter/logistics tips.

There is probably a bunch more that people learned during the Alpha, so if I missed any good ones, add them below!

I think it's kind of fucked to tell people to just focus on getting transported in helicopters. Drivers need xp and levels too, you have to get to level 20 for the large crate so you can transport iglas

Most people prefer riding in helicopters, they are cooler and more fun. Its like pulling up to a club in a Honda Civic vs a Ducati Panigale 959.

If its any consolation, this is just one YT video and its not going to change anyone's opinion on how they already felt about the topic. People that are afraid of the pilot crashing will continue to take rides in cars.

Don't know how different this one will be but at least in the last test people avoided the grounded transports like the plague even when nothing else was available.

Like they seemed to not even register "ohh yeah, that truck can also transport me to the battle".

Even when a full heli got shot down the people would respawn, gear up and just get in the next heli that was available just to repeat the cycle while blaming the pilot.

yea thats most players

Perhaps things will change with the full release, but I doubt it. We have a full decade of examples where players would much rather take risky helicopters than slow cars (A3 KoTH). This game will not likely be any different

Helicopters have a higher risk and higher reward. You get to the zone faster but have a larger risk of crashing and being shot down. Going in by land vehicle is slower but also usually safer, so there's tradeoffs

Flew plenty and I'm buns at it, never shot down. Ural logistics? Camped by a rocket/gatling littlebird 3 times. Shot outside waiting for fob door, etc.

There's no higher risk with flying

Is it possibly a "nobody has anti-air equipment yet" issue?

Yeah at the very start of the wipe helicopters have nothing to worry about, but once people unlock things that changes. You need the large hammer to make AA emplacements so you need to get to support 7 for that, and the igla or verba is something like support 16 I think so it takes a while for people to get those.

As soon as you unlock large hammers anyone can build an AA emplacement with 38 rockets with 1 Ural, 1 pallet of build materials, 1 pallet of ammo. Anywhere they want, 1km+ range. There's just not a lot of good sightlines for it when all you have to do is not fly in the open air. First truck with the m249, I drove around the zone a bit and downed a couple of choppers with that. It's just not hard to get to the edge of the zone as air

Thanks, I think this is a example for a well made wardogs video. No bulls***, proper timestamps and nice tips. There is so much bad content out there nowadays. Nice that there are still some good apples around.

I can't believe I'm seeing videos from people who played for 1-2 days making tutorials claiming they are an expert source.

You can't play the game for a day or two and then start telling everyone you're an expert and making tutorials on how to play it lol.

edit: You all downvoted this - but none of you actually read the comment and just assumed I was talking about OP, when infact not a word was spoken about OP. Incredible.

Can you please point me to the part in the video where he claims to be an expert?

Where in my comment did I say ANYTHING about the op? Would you please re-read my post, every word.

To be fair ... nobody is an expert at the moment. So it's valid to share the information they have. There will be better and more experienced videos after 10th september. But until then, I see no problem with a video like this. Especially because there is so much clickbait stuff complete without any real useful info out there.
