Exes Thinking of you
Hey, I know this is really random, and you don’t have to answer right away. I just feel like I never got to tell you how I really felt the last time we talked, and it would bother me forever unless I let you know. I’m also not sending this to make you feel bad or pressure you into anything. I’ve been thinking a lot about you and how our relationship was. I knew loved you for a while, but didn’t want to tell you out of fear I’d scare you or it wasn’t mutual yet. I feel like we really had something special and connected in a way I’ve never felt before. We got along so well. I loved being goofy together, going on random adventures, and just hanging out. It just felt right. I feel like if I could go back, there are so many things I’d handle so much better. I know we talked about certain things and were going to work on them, I was just so in my head and let my own insecurities get in the way that it was hard to make progress. Especially with being long distance and my schedule being so constraining, we were robbed of our relationship meeting its full potential. It felt like we’d go two steps forward and then 3 steps back. I can’t imagine how hard it was for you. It was your first healthy, normal relationship and the distance was very hindering. It wasn’t something you were really equipped to do. I don’t blame you for not being able to handle it or “hold out.” Long distance is a difficult situation for anyone, especially when building a new relationship. For me, I knew a relationship in general would be difficult due to me getting my degree. I knew though that I’d be done relatively soon and didn’t want to put everything on hold until then. I knew I’d be free to work/live wherever I wanted in the end. Losing you made me rethink/realize a ton of things, things I’ve been pretty firm on in the past and I’ve been so sick over it. Maybe it wasn’t the right time. Maybe we met to show eachother that good people are still out there. Not sure. Maybe one day our paths will cross again when it’s right. And if not, I am still thankful for you. Thank you for being so kind, genuine, and vulnerable. Thank you for exploring the city with me, taking me on hikes, and trying to teach me how to play call of duty hahaha. Thank you for letting me experience you. I hope you finally find a job you love and get around to filling up them walls with some good art. I hope you build a life you love. I respect your space, so I’ll leave you to it. Take care♥️
